Summary:

Toda and Miura play two teachers, Natsumi Uemura and Shuji Kashiwagi, at the same high school who are set to get married in half a year. However, the night before the school year's opening ceremony, Shuji becomes involved with the young Hikari Saeki (played by Takei), without realizing that she will be a student in his class starting the next day. As Shuji struggles to help Hikari deal with the mental complex she is suffering from, he is also torn inside by his betrayal of Natsumi. Meanwhile, Hikari attempts to get closer to Natsumi, driven by feelings of jealousy and a desire to destroy the couple's relationship.

Erika Toda, Haruma Miura co-star as teachers in next "Getsu 9" drama

Erika Toda (22) and Haruma Miura (20) will co-star in Fuji TV's next "Getsu 9" drama series. The show, called "Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta," will be the first time either of them has starred in that time slot, and the first time that either has played the part of a teacher.

Toda plays a cheerful high school English teacher, while Miura plays a sincere and earnest biology teacher at the same school. The two characters were classmates during their high school and university days, and now they are engaged to be married in half a year. However, their happiness is put to the test when various circumstances lead to Miura unwittingly engaging in an improper relationship with one of his new female students. While he suffers from the anguish of his betrayal, he is resolved to save the young girl from her problems.

The series will premiere this January.

Toda Erika & Miura Haruma to star in next Monday drama

Today Fuji TV has officially announced their Monday drama for the next season and revealed that actress Toda Erika (22) and actor Miura Haruma (20) will play the leading roles.

The title of the drama is "Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta" and it will depict a complicated love story of two young teachers whose relationship is being put on a trial by betrayal and other conflicts.

Toda will play a cheerful and lively English teacher at a senior high school who is about to get married to her long-time boyfriend and fellow teacher played by Miura. Both of them have been classmates during their senior high school and university days and eventually became a couple that recently decided to get married someday soon. She loves her job and lives a happy private life, but all that is about to collapse when she finds out that her fiancé has a forbidden relationship with one of the schoolgirls at their school.

Miura himself usually is a very bright and sincere teacher as well. Even the parents of his students trust him blindly due to his sincerity, but what they don't know is that he is having a relationship with one of the girls of his new class. He himself feels very bad about betraying his fiancée, but after learning about the darkness that filled up that girl's heart he chose to help her out of this misery.

The producers about the difficult challenges they've prepared for Toda and Miura, "There are only a few actress that can grow into their roles like Toda Erika andMiura Haruma fits perfectly into the role of the young teacher whose life begins to turn into the wrong direction thanks to his fresh appearance and delicate acting."

In addition Toda already seems to be emotionally attached to her role, "Affection is something that you give. That's something I have definitely found out and the one thing I'd like to convey through the universal theme of love."

Miura is ambitious as well, "There's a lot of pressure since it's my first Monday drama and my first role as a teacher, but I'm really looking forward to start working with Toda and everyone else."

In January we will find out whether their love will be able to bear all the conflicts and betrayals.

omg my two fave japanese actress & actor!!( besides gakky & yamapi) ahhh i can't wait<3

the storyline sounds kinda weird tho lol

Wow that's one heavy storyline. I think Erika can pull it off, since we have seen here in those types of 'drama' before. I'm really curious how Miura Haruma is going to do is. I'm totally going to follow this drama, meeh got to wait so long!

Miura Haruma!!! hmmmm I can't imagine him being a teacher, and doesn't he look a bit too young to have a fiancee already? This is like seeing him in 3 very surprising roles: 1)teacher 2)an engaged person 3)in a forbidden relationship

As much as I love MH, I foresee this to be very heavy, dramatic and emotionally draining for me. But we shall see, maybe when it airs I'm in the mood for some heavy dramas :)

This surely is a big pressure for haruma... a new role... not so simple one... totally different to those he acted before... + monday drama... mh... he's my absolute fave actor, so I press my fingers for him this drama to be a big success.

lots of people can't wait to watch the drama and have high hopes for this drama... it surely is nothing that simple... I really wish both actors to succed in this drama!

I totally will watch it... no matter what...

3 days left! I am sooo excited...however I won't be able to watch it cause

1. I don't know where to watch it

2. I'm busy

3. (and most importantly) I don't understand Japanese. LOL. So I will have to wait patiently for english subs, An exciting fact I found out based on the character chart is that Erika will have someone liking her as well, so it could be one of those 2guy-1girl love triangle I adore. (:
