I just saw that my last long post where I explained about Yong’s behavior almost reached 100 +!! I really don’t know what to say... Typically I worry that it is too long or may be boring for some of you … Thank you, Gogumas!

 

 

 

 

 

Well, the reason I was checking the post is because when I wrote that, I also started to write a list of moments in the episode that for me shows that he cares for her as oppose to what some were thinking about him being ‘cold’ towards her.  Hw, I decided to delete the list because the post was already too long hahaha. Now I decided to rewrite the list to kill some time  while waiting for next episode.

 

 

 

 

 

Yong’s sweet and caring evidence in episode 44:

 

 

 

 

 

1) Texting scene: I don’t know about you guys, but his tone of voice when he asked her “Who is it at this time?” is not the tone of voice of a friend merely curious. His tone is of someone who feels possessive and jealous and you know what that means, right?  Also, if the tone did not give him away, the super quick stare he did to his left with a frown on his face and his intense eyes, what do you think? He told her “it’s alright” while doing that stare. Do you think it was alright with him?? The stare was just two secondsbut for me it tells he does not see her as a just a casual friend.

2) He wanted to be sure she would not be cold so he asked her if she was wearing long underwear.

 

 

 

 

 

3) He brought her protective gear to put on (butt pad and knee pads) which is super beneficial to beginners because it is expected to fall alot. If you notice, she looks bulkier in the hip-butt area and sometimes it looks like she is walking like a chicken, but it is all because of the cushion to protect her if she falls

 

 

 

 

 

4) I also love how he tries to cover that he cares and worries for her by saying to her “I am giving it to you so you would fall less.…So I could ride too”. Sure, Yong. The cushions will make her fall less? Isnt it that they make falls less painful? ;-) Then later on after helping her tie her boots he wants to check if she put on the protective gear and asks her if she is wearing them.

 

 

 

 

 

5) Did you saw him the second he saw Hyun changed into her ski/snowboarding clothes? He literally looked her up and down while making weird nervous noises and then he went kind of gaga and tried to say a copmpliment to her, but when she said it back to him he was kind of shy and denied and lowered his gaze hahaha. I would have loved to see his expression, but sadly the cameras where behind him.

 

 

 

 

 

6) He checked that the snowboard they rented its appropriate for her.

 

 

 

 

 

    a.    (Additional note for this part: As one goguma said here, at first I thought he pushed her hand away a little ‘agressively’, but then I looked carefully and what seemed like an aggressive move, it was just the combination of moving/telling her with his touch to move it away, and her own quick movement/reaction to lower her arm. I hope I am making sense in what I am trying to convey).

 

 

 

 

 

7) He brought her cute girly socks and a mask. Not only she was delighted, but looked at his smile because she liked the socks. Again, I am sorry that we could only watch a glimpse of his smiling face because the camera was behind him.

 

 

 

 

 

8) Tying her boots. Yes, at the slope he wanted her to learn how to put on herself the snowboad etc, but here, when ‘class’ hasn’teven started in the locker room he is tying her snow boots for her.

 

 

 

 

 

9) After throwing her board (side note: this part had very bad editing so Yonghwa seemed like rough bf, but if you watch carefully you could see glimpses that he was smiling during this part while ordering her to start by learning how to put on the board).

 

 

 

 

 

10) Who said he was not touching her? Besides grabbing her arms and hands while snowboarding, he even grabbed her thighs to move closer to him on the Beginners lift and then the first time they got on the intermediate level lift to also accomodate her.

 

 

 

 

 

11) His encouragement: How many times did he said“Ok Ok”, “You are doing great!” etc? When she told him while waiting in line that she is scared of the intermediate level and he looked towards her saying it is not scary and touched her elbow. And my favorite: When they are at the lift and he said to her “You are doing perfectly. Besides falling twice you are doing really well”.

 

 

 

 

 

12) His way of calming her nerves while she is going down by saying “Since I will hold onto you, don’t worry” and did hold her when it was needed.

 

 

 

 

 

13) When she was getting off the lift for the last time at the episode. Although she was doing pretty good, he sill had his hand extended towards her back in case she fell.

 

 

 

 

 

14) Last but not least, his most epic heroic moment when he jumped/crawled/dragged himself uphill when she fell hard. He was shocked for a second, asked if she was ok, and before even listening to her reply he propelled himself towards her like a scene from a movie hahaha. I wish we could have had more closeups of his face while he was going up.

Awesome 1st half, Hy~un tried really hard to succeed boarding backwards and learning the S-turn, Yo~ng was patient with her even though her really wanted to board himself.
