*** "Queen of Tears" is one of the most high profile K-dramas of 2024. But, I'm very sure that this has a confirmed March airing date on tvN because they're starting the promos already. For a drama called the "Queen of Tears", which is very sure refers to Kim Ji Won's character, this made me admire Kim Soo Hyun more for accepting to do this drama despite of this. It only shows that he's confident enough of his image as a bankable superstar. I'm so excited for this drama because of him. He's looking so good seeing the still pictures. Can't wait! It's taken ages to film this at least, they're starting early on the promo. I'll definitely watch any drama of Kim Soo Hyun. I've not watched him for a long while. So, it's legit for me to be excited about this drama. Moreover, he's character here is a chaebol later on and I surely love this. I always love seeing all my biases playing rich characters. Looking at their photos together, dang - it already looks like they have chemistry. They absolutely lit!   :Fist1:

*** I didn't know that Jung Hae In and Kim Soo Hyun are good friends, not until I saw this on X. Jung Hae In sent a coffee truck recently to the set of the latter's new drama "Queen of Tears". He flaunted his friendship with a sweet gesture. The duo has never shared the screen but their bromance is quite evident through this coffee truck surprise.

8 K-Dramas With Iconic Winter Moments To Watch This Season

Winter snuggles, snowy kisses, or warm embraces – the cold frigid winter months get a romantic twist in K-dramas. Winter is often a metaphor in drama narratives, from bittersweet endings to new beginnings, and it is a time for introspection as well as bonding for some. Here are some heartwarming moments from the winter wonderland of K-dramas!

My Love From the Star

Chun Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun) is a popular and temperamental actor. Her opportunistic mother and the professional scrutiny get to her, when all she craves is being by herself. Little does she realize that life has an unusual script planned for her, and she falls for a handsome man who has literally descended from the stars. Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) is a 400-year-old transient resident on earth and keeps himself away from humans and their many dramas.

In episode 11, we find the vivacious actress and the rather reticent alien, who are obviously attracted to each other, going on a date. Setting up a tent in the cold of the night as they fish together, she walks away from him due to a misunderstanding, only to be enveloped in a kiss. It’s a moment where you cannot help but to squeal in delight. “My Love From the Star” is another popular drama and remains high in its recall value, thanks to the chemistry between Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun.

*** Japanese fans stand out for their unwavering passion and deep-rooted love for Korean shows. They're not just passive viewers; they're dedicated aficionados who live and breathe the world of K-dramas. Japanese fans have put together a wishlist, a curated lineup of K-drama couples they're itching to see back on screen for a second season. I agree with the list except for Rank 10 and Rank 1. The Rank 10 should be higher - the pairing were so popular. "King the Land" is Rank 1?  I don't agree for S2 of these dramas because I think all of these series were pretty much wrapped up on their endings especially Rank 10.  I don’t think it is likely to happen now. But,  I wonder why "Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart Ryeo" (Lee Jun Ki) not on the rankings, huh?      :heart1:

Rank 1 - King the Land (Lee Jun Ho x YoonA)

Rank 2 - Nevertheless (Song Kang x Han So Hee)

Rank 3 - Love in the Moonlight (Park Bo Gum x Kim Yoo Jung)

Rank 4 - What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (Park Seo Joon x Park Min Young)

Rank 5 - The Heirs (Lee Min Ho x Park Shin Hye)

Rank 6 - My Love from the Star (Kim Soo Hyun x Jun Ji Hyun)

Rank 7 - Crash Landing on You (Hyun Bin x Son Ye Jin)

Rank 8 - Reply 1997 (Seo In Guk x Jung Eun Ji)

Rank 9 - Goblin (Gong Yoo x Kim Go Eun)

Rank 10 - Descendants of the Sun (Song Joong Ki x Song Hye Kyo)

The much-anticipated script reading for tvN’s new weekend drama Queen of Tears has been unveiled. Set to premiere in March, Queen of Tears explores the crisis and rebirth of love between Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), a wealthy heiress known as the “queen of the department store,” and Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun), the son of a village chief and known as the “supermarket prince.”

The lineup, featuring the Queens Family and the Yongduri folks, including Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Lee Joo Bin, has already garnered significant attention.

Kim Soo Hyun, portraying Baek Hyun Woo, a legal advisor for the Queens Group, masterfully expressed the subtle emotions of a character who feels overwhelmed by his in-laws’ imposing presence yet maintains a calm exterior. Kim Ji Won, embodying the character of Hong Hae In, the unchallenged leader of Queens Department Store, captivated everyone with her cynical tone and sharp gaze.

The shifting dynamics between Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In were particularly notable. Whether clashing over business opinions or whispering sweet nothings, their ability to convey these emotional changes shone through. The synergy between the two actors, as they exchanged dialogues and led the drama with their engaging performances, heightened the anticipation for what’s being touted as the romance of the century.

With such dynamic and compelling portrayals, the actors have infused their unique colors into their characters, steadily building the narrative of Queen of Tears. The passion and dedication evident in the table read herald the beginning of an enthralling journey for Queen of Tears, raising high expectations for its upcoming premiere.

Kim Soo Hyun recently bought another apartment at Galleria Foret, and now owns 3 units

Galleria Foret is considered as one of the most expensive apartments in Seoul

@Magician  It is now a landmark structure, the south side features the breathtaking view of the Han River. Galleria Forêt has become famous as many celebrities have fallen in love with the space and have become residents. I do agree with you - It has also remained the most expensive apartments in Korea for a long time. It is a 45-story building shining like tall precious gems at night. It also has contributed to transforming the Seongsu-dong region into an upper-class neighborhood.   Thanks for sharing that Kim Soo Hyun recently bought 3-units here. I wonder if he's going to stay or have them rented out.   :Ohboy3:
