i have been listening to the album continuously the whole day now (in between their Japanese album too of coz) and after reading all the translations, i got to say that A Boy is the one which is my absolute fav. the lyrics and melody are sort of bittersweet, and tells us alot about how he has changed from the young boy who just entered YG till now.

sometimes i wonder if GD ever regrets taking this path. a fleeting thought or something. as much as he is full of confidence of himself, he has faced alot of controversies. i won't be suprised if he did regretted being an artist at any point in time. but knowing how strong he is, that thought will be abolished in awhile

perhaps coz i just watched the BB documentary recently, when GD was still...the way he was. so pure and innocent with such a big dream. its easy to lose your true self being an idol, and even though YG may give GD more freedom now, i'm sure there are many times in the past when GD's songs have been turned down by YG coz it may not fit BB's image. somehow i'm comforted that GD has not totally forgot how he was like pre-debut. the boy with the big dream.

my respect for him deepens with each lyric of this song. he sure has made some weird choices, changed a great deal, disappoint me a few times even. but he deserve every single bit of success now, and even though he may change alot, deep down, he remembers how much he wanted all this back then, and how much he has gone through to achieve everything.

i'm not sure if he has managed to achieve everything he wanted yet, and sometimes his image makes me wonder if he's still the pure young boy back then, but this song just showed me he has not forgot everything since becoming so famous. and even though the road ahead may be hard, that's his choice, and i'm sure GD will remain strong

and i TOTALLY agree with the analysis of the lyrics.

this album reflects a lot of emotions: happy, flittery love, sadness, depression, etc!

it just shows me how much of a heavy burden he has being the leader. i'm sure he still enjoys being a leader and being in big bang.

and this is extremely random but in "The Leaders" the background sound that sounds like some baby whining, it's actually an altered voice that's saying "we the leaders". It's altered to the point where it's so high that you can't tell that it says that. O_O. but i thought it was so cool, because it adds something cool to the song!

Just want to point this out in case people didn't notice, but the blowing white sheets thing in the MV actually represents a 'pumping' heart - the blowing creates an illusion of a heart relaxing and contracting as it fills with blood. Ignore this post if this is obvious.

Request: any koreans that can post stats on album + on-line sales - I want to know how well GD's album is doing.

No words can explain how baffled I am at how all this plagiarism accusation is spreading. Most music is re-hashed from the older times anyways, I don't see how people can accuse someone of copying/stealing a certain idea, verse, chorus or whatever.

That said, 'Heartbreaker' > 'Right Round' in SO many ways. And you don't see Asia hitting at the US for plagiarism now do you? Even though it happens just as often.
