Did anyone take the JLPT today? I took N3 this year and I thought it was pretty easy...I probably should have taken 2

Late reply but I took the JLPT Level 3 and I thought it was really hard, I haven't been learning Japanese for a long time and wasn't ready for it :/

My daily study consists of:

> Read news in Japanese

> Listen to podcasts in Japanese if I'm travelling places [school bus, walking to friends house, shopping]

> Write a diary [ I use Lang-8 ]

> Watch dramas

I think if you just input enough and output enough, it'll eventually just *click*

But I've been slacking on Japanese due to a ton of exams so I've probably gotten worse ... D;

A: Iie, nandemonai [desu].  [ Since it's all ~desu/~masu, I would use it here. Even then, I'm not sure about　なんでもない。Maybe いいえ、きにしないでくださいね。?? ]

B: Ogenki desuka?

A: Genki desu. Anata wa?

B: Hai, genki desu. Hisashiburi! [ ohisashiburi desu -- is a lot more polite, I would use this instead. Hisashiburi is used between close friends.... you haven't really stated the context so I'm just judging from the politeness (using anata wa / desu/masu form these guys are not that close...)

A: Hisashiburi [ ohisashiburi desu ]~ Kafe e ikimashou ka? [ kafe ni ikimasen ka?] // suggestion.

B: Hai, sou shimashou (or: ikimashou!)! Kafe ga doko ni arimasuka?

A: Kafe ga Shinjuku no atarashii depaato no ikkai ni arimasu. Hora! Depaato wa ano aoi tatemono desu!

Use hanashi for story or unless you meant like a tale or something you would use monogatari. I guess using SUTOORII is understood too

Specifically the two combination characters, mini イ and ツ ? I know typing Te+x+i gets ティ but I can't get the last tsu. I am using the Microsoft IME 2002 (windows XP)

Also, why is Tsu shortened to "s" and why not write any of the s- characters instead?

hanashi - like a general story, maybe you're telling someone a story about how the other day you left your bag on the bus.

monogatari - more like a fairytale, maybe like about a boy living in a peach or the tale of genji (which is ironically called in japanese 'genji no monogatari')

or like the previous person said, 'sutorii' would work as well (: sutorii is just a japanised version of 'story'.

As far as I know, I think tenchou is just a bit more of an official name, where as shoppu maneejaa is just more of an informal term for it. : ] Maybe if you were like, writing down your occupation, you'd write 'tenchou' but if you were talking to a friend, you'd say shoppu maneejaa. :] As far as I know, there's no significant difference. I may be wrong though ~ (I'm a person who tends to avoid katakana terms LOL)

-アンニョン ( I think it's equivalent to Ahnyong in Korean ) means Hello.
