I always thought Lion was his real name and he was one of them imported Koreans (ala Brian, Stephanie etc), guess not.

yeah but I like the anticipation of not knowing who'll show up tho' too...hmmm, killing two birds with one stone eh? healthy & tasty lol...btw, I think that Japanese nabe is some type of hot pot dish, I remember seeing some sumo wrestler make it on a documentary. Those sumo dudes get fat as hell eating that stuff but I'm sure they eat humongous portions & prolly add all kinds of other stuff in there.

Thank god, she only did that "arisong" dance a couple times at that market & wasn't trying to milk it throughout the whole show.

It still irks me to this day thinking about that Omona show. One of the best pilots I've ever seen for a variety & it gets axed like that? Go figure.

That's true, I like that as well. So its a win/win then. Interesting bit about the nabe the documentary I watched years ago showed sumo wrestlers fattening up on large portions of noodles, wonder how it will work into their 'healthy food' tagline then.

Good decision on the PDs side about that, though it was obvious why she came onto the show and the Youngs did try to aid her in that regard.

Don't think we'll ever be able to live it down, they nailed it so bad from first try (both the concept and execution) and then blam.

Loved this ep.

Those Media Poles, that's what JJH called them iirc, were really something. Big touchscreen fully connected to the net and GPS right out in the open for people to use, crazy.

The food parts were fun as well, we finally got a dessert segment again. Lion and HY were really hamming it up with their antics (he had her cornered, looked like she had nowhere to run lol).

And that infamous tea from High Five is back in all its glory. Turning it into a contraption for punishment was genius at the end. On the one hand I don't want them repeating themselves but on the other I hope they retain this idea. Lol at KSY trying to plead her case by saying that they laughed at the beginning of her performance and Lion setting HY up by saying that what she'll say is his idea but he'll take the punishment if they don't like it... and lolling next to JJH while KSY had HY have it.

Seems JJH is really weak when it comes to stuff like lemon and the tea etc, same with Lee Pani. She had a pretty low cut top, JJH made a comment which made him seem like a perv hehe.

Could be wrong but I thought I heard JJH mention in the beginning that they invited Lee Pani again because there was an increase in ratings with eps containing her?

KSY kept remarking that there was something weird going on that day with HY, she seemed a lil too happy. My friend said the same, like she had a sip or two of the ol magic water. Regardless, the chemistry between her and Lion was great.

Overall, Lion was much better than expected. He said something about him wanting to come to the show for a while so it probably is his first ep. Also sounded like he said at one point that he always wondered why guests didn't say much on their show, now he realized that it was because the food was so good.

I'm no pro but it looked like nothing but vegetables and some meat to me (how they made those meat balls was pretty cool, simple yet cool). Lol at them talking to the waitress in Japanese. Same thing happened to me, decided to check out some foreign cuisine, cuz of this show, and came across a Japanese restaurant near work. When I came came I heard loud welcomes in Japanese. They take my order and I'm sitting waiting there, a few secs later all I hear is talk in Korean lol.

yeah fun episode...this show seems to be hitting its stride of late with the exception of last week which was a bit disappointing.

that 'media pole' was amazing...I can understand having one down in the subway but to have one out in the open like that is pretty awesome. No way that thing would last a week here in the states cuz some punk kid would've smashed it with a brick or it would be all tagged up with graffiti

btw, did you notice when JJH was browsing the entertainment section & the latest movie releases came up on screen, KSY said something about "Yadong" (porno) movie & the caption had that "19" graphic haha

that was funny when the gals were all on him when he made that remark about her low V cut & he had a sly look on his face hehe. Nice GoC sticker he has over his shirt to cover the brand logo too.

haha, HY did seem a little too giddy this episode. Maybe someone spiked that ginseng tonic & snack she mentioned a fan brought along for her...of course, JJH & KSY each pull one out to show HY that she isn't special lol

I thought Ryan was okay & he was pretty engaging especially with HY. HY seemed to enjoy the attention as well, especially when they were feeding each other haha. I heard Ryan say something like this must be what it feels to be married & HY got all flustered.

btw, what did KSY say to Lee Pani about those tiny clam shells? Lee Pani remarked they were too small & everyone started busting up & Ryan had a shocked expression on his face.

This type of nabe definitely isn't like that "chanko nabe" the Sumo fatties eat. Much healthier it seems & instead of a pot they used some weird paper container. Looked like an oversize coffee filter lol.

I heard them refer to this type of food as 'waving' or something? I guess it means the same as 'fusion' as it takes a japanese dish like 'nabe' & mixes it with Korean flavors to make it more suitable for the Korean palate. Same thing with that fondue at the dessert place in which they used tofu instead of bread.

yeah every time i step inside of my fave japanese ramen place, they always yell out that welcome greeting & I just nod back to 'em cuz I feel obligated to answer even tho' they don't expect a reply lol.

Thanks for the heads up about the subs! Watching that prank on SS501 made me crack up all over again & damn, watching it a second time, I still can't believe he didn't catch on 'cuz all 3 of 'em couldn't seriously keep a straight face thru out.

Now that they translated the captions, it made it even funnier...like one scene where they show SS501 in the back of the car down on himself, the caption says "I'm treated like a VIP overseas" haha...another time, HY admonishes KSY that she is her sunbae because she was in University when KSY was still in junior high school. The caption said HY is going all out for this prank implying she'll even admit to her real age to pull this off.

Oh, good to know that subbing group will take on GoC but got 2 warnings already, so better subscribe cuz the next one is strike 3 & acct deleted. Too bad they'll just do the ones with SS501 tho' but I'm not complaining.

oh man, I can see why the PD invited these 2 back again...every time they're on, it's a riot! Another great episode.

Like the description said, this episode the gang takes a ferry trip to Namisum Island which is famous for its fall foliage & being one of the filming locations for Winter Sonata.

I was busting up at HY calling that furry headband thing "Michael"

On the ferry ride over there, HY managed to coax Danny into recreating the scene from Titanic. Danny said it was cold & didn't really seem to be that enthused about the idea lol.

The description mentioned the crew bring their own lunch & yeah, they had a picnic with every one bringing something from home. I didn't realize Koreans even take off their shoes when they are sitting on a blanket haha.

Danny brought some fruit that he claims he cut himself into those fancy decorative shapes but HY wasn't buying it & told him something about he'll receive bad luck if he lies & Danny ends up mumbling when put on the spot haha.

KSY sure went all out for the picnic...a bunch of hard boiled eggs & a bottle of pop lol She still has that one handed egg cracking technique down tho'

Seems that Lee Pani spiked one of her bacon wrapped rice balls or whatever it was & poor HY ended up being the victim. I heard HY ask if Lee Pani doesn't like her lol.

I'm not sure if she fessed up to it or not but I thought i heard her claim one of those bacon wrapped rice balls was 'different' but she didn't remember which one was the one with the extra spices. KSY said she doesn't recall anything because she drank 6 bottles of soju haha. Lee Pani sure likes her booze eh? Later when JJH said they were going to sample some Chuncheon famous dishes, i heard Lee Pani say macoli.

The next segment literally had me rollin' on the floor. The crew were going to re-enact the first kiss scene from Winter Sonata & since there were 3 gals & only 2 guys, the gals had to choose who they wanted to be partnered with & as you can imagine, the gals were literally fighting amongst themselves to be matched up with Danny.

Poor Pani got thrown to JJH haha. Pani got the worse of it this episode 'cuz later when she was pranking KSY & pretending to be Danny, KSY threw her on the ground too.

So it ended up being between HY & KSY to see which one partnered with Danny & KSY tumbled on the ground to get him to pick her.

That rolly polly act must've impressed Danny 'cuz he ended up picking KSY & I heard JJH say the loser would have to partner with him & HY didn't seem pleased at all haha

The re-enactment was hilarious as well. Man, Pani slapped the hell outta of JJH!

KSY ended up kissing Danny but he definitely didn't want a second one haha

They then headed out to eat some dak galbi which Chuncheon is famous for (spicy grilled chicken) & it looked good!

So... is it just me or was the ep pretty much a complete dud? The only fun was at the end when Choi coordi popped up with his quiz and they used the go sam cha gun.

yeah i'm in the same boat 'cuz I've seen those FT Island guys on many a show before but I can't tell one from the other & don't know their names except that Lee Hong Ki 'cuz he comes out in You're Beautiful. The only other one that stands out in my mind is four eyes & also I remember one of those dudes appeared in Battery's MV.

Shabu Shabu is quite popular here 'cuz it's pretty tasty & healthy. basically a hot pot dish where you dip thin slices of meat & veggies in the broth to cook it.

It was a lot of talking & i didn't understand a lot of it, so I didn't enjoy it as much. I pretty much watched it for CY. I did find the interaction between Lee Hwi Jae & that comedian, Jeong Juri pretty hilarious. Obvious, she was cast on the show to be a foil to him hehe. Which one was the one who punched her philandering bf? That's freakin' awesome haha.

I'm glad that CY is a regular on this show 'cuz she appears in at least 2 more future episodes from the preview they showed & the news article. This show must've been taped a while back for Boom to still be there. Guess Danny got the gig to replace him after he split for the army.

I only watched that show sporadically & didn't think too much of it. I didn't know they would replace both KSY & Shin Bong Sun tho'...guess the ratings really sucked or something for them to be so drastic where they brought in a entire new cast. Looks like a lot of the same ladies crossed over from that QTV ranking show to this one. Where does HY find the time do appear on all these shows?

Not much understanding going on on my end as well, though the general idea is usually there. Wouldn't be caught dead watching this if it weren't for a certain someone as well. For now I guess we can just allow our inner girl to let loose.

And there was something on the latest ep about CY dating 6 guys at the same time? And something about them being at a dinner and she got her hand grabbed under the table by both at the same time? Not sure what the ranking was about in this one but sounded like which woman gets guys the easiest? Not sure.

So far my main criteria for upping has been that it has to be fun without subs, not sure how fun non-speakers will find this if they don't have their queen present. Not to mention we can't be 100% sure at this point that the cast will be permanent (we already know that the third ep will have some new women, it will be the ep in the first captures we saw btw). Think I should up it?

Oh and hehe... the theme for the da ladies clothing in this ep seemed to be bewbs.

Haven't watched Infinity Girls at all, so wasn't even aware of what the old cast was till now. Yeah, the QTV thing crossed my mind as well. Not sure how HY finds the time as well but she is in the lime light at the moment sort of and it would be stupid of her not to milk it as much as possible.
