I was wondering if anyone's reading this? Cat Street is the new manga from Yoko Kamio, mainly known for her popular work Hana Yori Dango.

Plot:

The story revolves around the life of Keito Aoyama, a 16 year old girl who used to be a famous actress when she was young. But once, while acting a scene, she froze up, and this traumatic incident caused her to make it a point to protect herself from others. In the process of doing so, she isolates herself from others and avoids getting close to anyone. Then one day her life changes when a person takes her to a special school called "El Liston", a free school for people with social issues. People without a home or purpose are considered "stray cats" by society. She eventually joins the school and meets new people such as Rei, Kouichi, and Momiji, who soon become her closest friends.

wow, this is cool, I just finished the latest chapter and fell in love with the manga (you can tell by my sig, lols). This manga is more down to earth and mature than her previous work, and that's why I really like it. I like all the characters so far, well, except for that Kano one -_____-; I'm here hoping the relationships in this manga won't turn out to be as complicated. I like how the author focuses more on the feelings and angst of these young people. It's something I can identify with myself. I'm looking forward to more chapters. I was so mad when I reached chapter 9 because the manga was just getting to be really good and exciting XD. Oh, those two guys are such great friends, Rei is just so cute and Kouichi is such a caring person deep down. Kouichi is like Rui in Hana Yori Dango, but I have a feeling I'm going to like Kouichi more XD.

Lol, I guess it's just too new and people just haven't heard of it yet. I wouldn't know either if I did not see the recommendation in the Hana Yori Dango's thread. And perhaps, some people just don't know where to download it from?

the story is quite interesting.. and peaceful. typical yoko kamio's style.

OH i'm reading it!!! I like it more and more, not too much in the beginning because I really didn't understand her depression. I think she's just making it too much of a big deal and her parents are idiotic. Unrealistic. BUT i still like it. It really grows on you. The friendships between such different people are heartwarming. And her art is beautiful as always.

i love Cat Street. i constantly check Condesation to see if they've translated the next ch/vol yet. i totally love how the story is progressing and the characters.

i have to say that HYD wasn't my favorite but it was good. i have yet to finish it.

I like this series but she clearly made a mistake when she decided to go out with that other guy...what's his name again? Anyways, she sucks at choosing the right guy...I mean the first guy was a childhood boy...who liked her but got a girlfriend later on. What a jerk but I guess that's what happens when the main character stays cooped up in her room for years.
