Nam 100%

I think my mom is from bac, but she doesn't have that accent anymore, except for when she starts yelling...

I haven't heard bac accent for a while, since I was still in VN, so I'm not sure I would recognize it anymore. Lolz

im bac.

i can understand both bac & nam

but its harder with nam because they soften

all the words & just garble & basically mess up the sentence structure.

also they talk really fast.

i don't understand how bac can have accent

to others if its the official dialect with crisp clear pronunciations?

the only dialect i cant understand is

from the people in the middle of vn.

they're in a whole different world o_o

i'm bac

ever since grade 3 till now, i was made fun of nam people for being bac LOL

they would call be a "bucker" or say "buc you!"

i can understand only a few words spoken by a nam person

but they talk really fast and SOMETIMES (not all) speak like ducks (?)

but not all. Mostly the older women & men

I'm Chinese but my parents grew up in Vietnam in the south so I guess they are Nam. Although one of my best friends is Bac and I know that she as well as her family/friends make fun of the Nam accent.

1/2 bac, 1/2 hue

and I understand..all? lol

but I don't have any of the accents [born in America] :x

The only thing I have trouble understanding is the new slang. There are just so many new words I can't keep up x_x

I'm Vietnamese, but I don't think I deserve to say I'm one because I epic fail at it x)

I'm half/half, so on the rare times I manage to say something Vietnamese sometimes it comes out with a mixed accent... heh.

I mean, I can mostly understand what people are trying to say to me, but if they expect me to respond in Vietnamese... sorry, no can do. I end up miming what I want to say to them.

Most of the words I know are either food words, or caveman sentences like "I'm hungry" or "I'm full"!

Bac and Hue, but you rarely hear the Hue in me when I speak Vietnamese.

And I don't speak super Bac either, but that's more of where my accent is.

But I don't talk as rough as other people do when they speak Vietnamese, I dunno why, it's just softer haha

I'm Trung.

People have a hard time understanding Trung's so we tend to speak other accents. I personally LOOOOVE Bac accent. Nam accent has a tendency to sound like ducks but also can sound pretty cute when girls speak it.
