Guest milk*tea
when Korea makes a remake, everybody worships it~ when Taiwan remakes something...everybody hates it even without trying to watch or give it a glimpse... way of life on how some people can be so biased even if the thing's not even official. Guest toGETherONE
Wu Chun is pretty busy doing two filming projects. I knew he was a contender for this lead role but I had no clue it will come out this soon while Sunshine Angel is about to air. Anybody got an actual release date yet? I agree with this statement. Not that I hate Korean remake or anything, the statement just seems to be kind of true. I actually think that Korean remake isn't as good *cough cough Boys over Flower* as Taiwanese. And Japanese I love their remake, it's funny and short. I always like the Taiwanese manga remake. I love MARS and ISWAK. But I'm looking forward to watching this.
Guest Bonnie
if this rumor is true, i cant wait to watch this! i didn't really like the original one, but just knowing that wu chun is in it makes me all excited for this. hopefully we dont have to wait too long. and oh please, the taiwanese industry doesnt lack originality. this is whaaat? the 3rd drama they've adapted as opposed to MANY other dramas? give it a break

Guest adikkeluangman
Goo Hye Sun gets a new partner for Taiwanese drama, “Absolute Boyfriend” Actress Goo Hye Sun and Taiwanese star Woo Chun earned headlines when it was revealed that they would co-star together in “Absolute Boyfriend“. However, it seems that Wu Chun was switched out for another male lead. The new male lead, Jiro Wang, is from the same Taiwanese idol group Fahrenheit as Wu Chun. During a press conference held between the two leads and the media on May 2nd, the idol expressed that he would do his best in his new project. Wang stated, “I picked the drama because the script is good, and I will try my best.” Goo Hye Sun candidly expressed, “I did not expect the male lead to be replaced, so I was a little disappointed. However, I decided to continue because I really like the script, and I’m going to put all my whole effort into acting.” She added, “In the past, I shot a Taiwan tourism music video with Fahrenheit. At that time, I felt that Jiro was a very restless person. He always made the atmosphere so pleasant.” An official from the drama stated, “Since the male lead was replaced, Goo Hye Sun had all the right to reject the role, but we are very thankful to Goo Hye Sun and her agency for continuing. Meanwhile, it was reported that Wu Chun, who was revealed as the male lead last October, decided to step down from the role because of a problem with the character. http://www.allkpop.com/2011/05/goo-hye-sun-gets-a-new-partner-for-taiwanese-drama-absolute-boyfriend
Guest strawberrynkiwi
^^ Ugh, I disliked GHS in BOF and I don't support inter-racial dramas(?). I don't like the language barrier and possible dubbing character's voices. Unless the plot has to do with two people meeting from different countries, dislike! Jiro is looking fine. I almost didn't recognized him!
Guest shinhbang
I'm really looking forward to this! The Japanese one wasn't so bad. It was; however, way too PG for me. The manga isn't actually that kidd-ish. I just learned that Jiro Wang is replacing Wu Zun! Well, I was excited for Wuzun, but I've always been a HUGE fan of Jiro. So...I'm SUPER EXCITED! Guest Sensitive_soul
I watched the Japanese version and loved it! Well, as this is going to be a Taiwanese IDOL drama, we can safely say the acting's going to be pretty bad. However, I would still watch it because Wu Zun is HOT! Guest t3n5h1_chu_k015h173
Goo Hye Sun suggests Jiro Wang to cover up As reported previously, Jiro Wang accepted the lead role to GTV’s upcoming idol drama “Absolute Boyfriend” after Wu Chun dropped out of the project. As an adaptation to the manga, Jiro and lead actress Goo Hye-Sun were filming a scene where the naked Jiro-bot had to lie on top of Goo. Little Jiro was only covered up by a thin pair of skin-colored safety pants. Jiro said embarrassedly, “It doesn’t look very good. They look like diapers. I don’t want to be a spokesperson for adult diapers so soon.” Goo Hye-Sun on the other hand commented, “If I was the director, I would tell him to wear more clothes.” – perhaps feeling a bit awkward acting with naked Jiro. obbor4
How odd that the star of this drama is not even listed in heading for this topic.
Guest Maihunaa
How odd that the star of this drama is not even listed in heading for this topic. it's because it took them so long to actually have the star, since Wu chun was suposed to do it first.. I am more than happy that Jiro does it now (YEAH DA DONG!!! GOGOGOGO)... out of the two he is my favorite :-D plus naked da dong... I really have to make sure i keep my cool on that scene when my hubby is around.. lol You think that scene was the problem Wu chun had with the character?? (that kinda is a odd reason for an actor...) Anyhow I am so happy they are redoing it. I loved the J version but I am more than happy to see it redone with 2 of my favorite actors. BtW is it just me or is crossing over between Korea and TW the new thing? Don't get me wrong i am not complaining in the slightest!
