*** RAIN posted this yesterday with a caption - "#blackouttuesday" -  Many more idols and actors have taken to social media to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement and Blackout Tuesday. Some have also donated to the cause. As part of the call for an end to violence and systemic racism towards the black community, the Blackout Tuesday campaign (also known as #TheShowMustBePaused) was started by music industry executives Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang as a way to symbolically take a pause, stand in solidarity with the community, reflect, and find ways to help the movement.

Rain Made to Choose Between His Wife Kim Tae Hee and Lee Hyori in Terms of Looks

The two legends were absolutely stunning in their early 20s.

On a recent episode of MBC’s Hangout With Yoo, past footage of Rain‘s actress wife, Kim Tae Hee, and singer Lee Hyori was shown before Rain was made to pick who had the better visuals.

When the footage was revealed, Lee Hyori joked, “Hey, that’s your wife“, to which Rain remarked, “Don’t mess with family.

But upon seeing the two stars when they were in their early 20s, Rain couldn’t deny their blinding beauty.

You both looked like such young ladies.

Spoiler

That’s when Lee Hyori suggested adding Kim Tae Hee as well as her husband, Lee Sang Soon to the group.

Let’s bring Kim Tae Hee here. I’ll call Sang Soon Oppa, too. We can make this like a family.

– Lee Hyori

And when Rain asked, “Isn’t there always that one person who’s in charge of visuals in a group?”, Lee Hyori gave Rain the difficult task of choosing who was prettier between her and Kim Tae Hee.

And Rain’s response?

Without any hesitation, Rain proved to be husband material.

Of course it’s Kim Tae Hee!

– Rain

After hearing Rain’s loyalty, Lee Hyori praised him and even asked how his marriage is going.

You’re wise. How’s your marriage life? Is it moist? It’s a desert for us. There’s nothing.

– Lee Hyori

Kim Tae Hee is one lucky wife!

And what can’t be denied is that both Kim Tae Hee and Lee Hyori were goddesses then and are goddesses now.

Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori, And Rain Reveal Group Name And Stage Names For Their Co-Ed Group

23df5368344f4c0d88d036d70ddf7564.jpeg?s=

Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori, and Rain will be promoting as the co-ed group SSAK3!

Previously, Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori, and Rain confirmed that they would be forming a co-ed group through the “summer dance music” project on MBC’s “How Do You Play?” On June 4, the upcoming project group held a YouTube live broadcast in which they decided on their group name.

During the broadcast, the three discussed ideas for their team name such as DaeSangPoJin (meaning shingles, but short for “a lineup of those who have won a daesang”), JungBanDae (meaning complete opposites, but short for “really welcoming huge stars”), 20th Century Idols, Hyori and Two Kids, and more. Eventually, they decided to promote under the name SSAK3. The name in Korean is similar to the word SsakSseulYi, which means to sweep. The members decided on the name to represent that they would be sweeping the music charts.

The three members also decided on their new stage names for their co-ed group. Yoo Jae Suk already had many options such as Yoo-Go-Star and Yoo San Seul (Yoo Jae Suk’s stage name as a trot singer). Although he considered Yoo-Typhoon (meaning that he would take up the industry by a storm), he leaned towards the stage name Yoo-Dragon, which is a reference to BIGBANG’s G-Dragon.

Lee Hyori decided that her stage name would be Linda G as a play on words from a phrase meaning, “Everyone pees their a little when Lee Hyori appears.” Rain revealed that he would take some more time to decide between the names Beat and B-Ryong, which means that he will become the dragon of the world of singers. Yoo Jae Suk’s and Rain’s final decisions will be revealed in the June 6 broadcast of “How Do You Play?”

Although Lee Hyori and Rain are confirmed as members of the co-ed dance group, other members may be added to the group. SSAK3 will make their debut on July 18.

“How Do You Play?” airs Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. KST.

Rain forms new K-pop group with Yoo Jae-suk after old 'corny' music video goes viral

20200602_rain.jpg?itok=gl4e14HD

South Korean singer-actor Jung Ji-hoon (better known as his moniker Rain) is experiencing a surge in popularity and a revival in his music career, ironically from people hate-watching

According to Korea Times, the song was criticised as "corny" and "out of touch", and sparked a strange online movement where netizens watched the video on YouTube at least once a day. As of the time of reporting, the YouTube video has hit 12 million views.

And this revival may have resulted in the formation of a K-pop band with comedian-host Yoo Jae-suk and Lee Hyo-ri, former member of 90s girl group Fin.K.L.

The one-off K-pop group was gathered as part of the South Korean reality TV series Hangout with Yoo, which showcases the titular comedian taking on various projects such as cooking and stage acting.

The production team is considering adding more members, and the group plans to release a retro 90s or 2000s-style summer dance song.
