^ pft, thanks to donald trump and his money, USA always places at least in the top 15. I'm glad crystle didn't make it to top 10 - USA would have gotten another booing from the crowd.

This show is whacked.

I'm glad that Crystal didn't make it either after that fall.... however, I don't think the Vietnamese crowd would be as rude as the Mexican crowd. Miss USA, Rachel Smith, was booed last year before she slipped onstage. It was just louder after she made it to top 5.

shrug. I liked Russia. What was not good about her performance?

Anyway. I'm content with the winner.

i also didn't think russia deserved top 5.

her walk was okay, her smile looked forced the whole time, and she just looked really uncomfortable up there compared to the rest. mexico should have definitely placed higher than her. her answer was better, and she just looked more graceful.

i thought it would be Mexico, Columbia, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and then Russia. :) kind of surprised when Venezuela won cause i thought her answer was the weakest (i couldn't understand what she was trying to explain with the 'curves' O_O) but oh well, i wasn't rooting for anyone anyway

I wonder what happened to Russia's hair, maybe they didn't have time to fix it up? it looked so bad

I'm disappointed with the outcome. I thought Miss Mexico was going to win. She got the look, the grace, the body, and her answer was good. I don't understand how Russia made into top 5 (it should have been Miss Kosovo, Miss Spain, or Miss USA) and even placed ahead Miss Mexico, she got a good question, but she didn't answer it well or at all for that matter.

I'm sooooo happy Venezuela won=] But I was mad that Mexico was 4rd runner up, she should have been the 2nd runner or up 1st runner up.

I know this is a bit off topic but does anyone know the guy that comes and walks the runner-ups at the end? He was so cute.

Lol...

Miss Venezuela's question was something like " do men have it easier in life?"

And the girl answered it in a very poetic fashion which confused the likes of others...

If you believe that she didnt answer the question, its because you are rather unschooled or wasnt expecting such an intelligent answer from a beautiful women...

Her answer was the difference in the competition...

Colombia to my eyes and the likes of others was far prettier but her answer won her the competition... PERIOD

Oh and yea... another thing

I was so disappointed on how all of the contestants of the final 5 had to use a translator to answer their question...

The fact is that Miss Universe is suppose to be an icon to the entire world and English being the international language, you should at least take the time to learn the language...

I know that everyone used a translator but if you at least answered your question in English with your own words, you got bonus points...

I thought Miss Venezula's question was, what's the difference between men and women.

Anyhow, On the topic of not speaking english... i thought was perfectly fine.. if not preferred. Miss Universe is an icon, an image of the modern women, of grace and confidence. I don't see anything wrong with being flawed in that they prefer not to speak english. If anything, I like that they felt comfortable enough to bend to the pressure of representing themselve in something they're not familiar.

Despite not many of the contestants not repeating the question in their answers, it doesn't mean they didn't answered it correctly. They answered the question, we just didn't here them repeat it like colombia and venezuela. I thought Russia's answer to the discrimination against women wsa beautiful.

Mexico's answer was so typical, almost an answer that any normal women would have said, but is probably unsatisfied once they've reached that point.

I wanted Mexico to win!! She was so adorable - like a latina barbie doll. I don't understand why judges nearly always award the crown to the girl that does not even answer her question O_o - but, I'm still happy that if not Mexico, at least Venezuela won.

And Miss Kosovo was breathtaking - like a baby Angelina Jolie. I wish she could have been in the top 5........too bad she's a little under-rated here at soompi :( lol
