Her character in ISWAK was dimwitted, so she did ACT her role well if you can describe her character perfectly like that. And no, she's played diverse characters before, like Wong Yung from Legends of the Condor Heroes (2008), who is very quick-witted, total 180 degree flip of her dimwitted character in ISWAK.

I mean I have to admit, I raised an eyebrow at the casting.

But Ariel is very versatile.

In fact, she can pull off the moodswing, bipolar nature of the female character.

Ariel went from the serious, cold girl in "Love Contract"

to the character in "Condor Heroes"

to the dumb dumb chick in "ISWAK"

You really need to give her props for that, given, if you actually SAW both dramas.

If you haven't saw all her other dramas, I think you should try to reconsider your outburst.

Though... I can't say that I 100% disagree with you.

From what I remember, it wasn't because of netizen complaints but problems behind the scenes (change in production companies, disagreement with the script, etc.) I think they're trying to get everything in order now since there's been several rumors of attempts on getting Jerry and Ariel back on board and finding the second male lead as Sho. But again, these are just rumors so take it with a grain of salt.

Rumors have it that Ariel Lin is still part of the cast but Jerry is out and Siwon and Donghae are taking roles for this drama. Although Siwon is a good actor, I want Jerry back!

Just can't see Ariel as a model. Even though her face has slimmed down, need a taller girl to play the part.I remember watching someting Juliet with Wu Chun . Just can't see her as a model or in the fahsion industry. SiWon and Donghae replacing Jerry Yan, at least, is an improvement.
