i think vick will have more important parts in the last few episodes, so far it looks like they've just been piecing things around him, and yea once we see what hes been sent to do im sure he'll be a lot more relevant.

i wish they'd continue a little in the development of sunhwa though, the few personal scenes with her and HJ were nice. now its like shes just some subordinate to him who tags along and gives info when needed, its getting kind of one dimensional. she has a lot of potential to be a complex and intriguing character, the NK agent who decides to defect because of love and a newfound reason to live - i mean her real motivations are her feelings for hj and her inherent sense of right/wrong, they should make them show. i really like her as a character (more than SH actually, but shes getting better too in the recent eps), and i hope they do more with her than just provide logistical backup/hold HJ back from doing something stupid etc.

I'm sure there are more than just these scenes.. for now.. there's also other pics with the terrorists, too.. as this is about stopping them from blowing up the place. Before the filming ends, there'll definitely be more BTS pics to see. The production will surely be filming all they can from this extensive outdoor setting. [weiz80, I think they're shooting at the terrorists]

As for IRIS spelling errors. yes I have noticed some of them. Although I don't think they mess up the drama, I do think it could impact whether or not people see this as a HQ drama. Little mistakes add up and make the drama seem unprofessional. And really, any mistakes that are noticeable to viewers are a MAJOR problem. Remember, a KSH scene was accidentally left out and this impacted the story.

Mistakes were also a problem with the big budget Cain and Abel earlier this year. They made HUGE errors with the editing and mistakenly repeated a crucial scene (like deja-vu) and totally screwed up the ending.

I don't understand when budgets are so huge and so much money is on the line, the PD still films so much at the last minute--like this huge shoot coming in Seoul. This is why there are silly errors in some of these dramas and these mistakes only get worse the closer we get to the end of the show. I'm so glad I watched Worlds Within, I felt like I got a bird's-eye-view into the crazy world of kdrama production.

This show is one of the best shows that I have watched & read in 5 yrs. However, as you mentioned, with the big budget being spent, could they not hire an American student to act in those American part? One scene the communication officer spoke with a Russian accent on an American Naval ship... it is sad to hear these mistakes in the shows.

Another thing, I hope the screen writer to this show does not fall into situation where the last couple of episodes are anti-climatic, for example the current Queen Seon Duk since Mishil suicide. Or put the second crew of filming to edit scenes which you can tell it is not coherent at all. I just pray it ends when it should and leave awe to us all.

I'm so happy! I don't know if it's been posted, but someone else is picking up this project. I've tried the subs and they work LINK It's right at the bottom of the page. It seems like he/she is going to come up with one episode, until ep 14 for the next few days :D

weiz80, the blur-out faces in some of the media photos are those non-actors/celebrities like the crew, fans or the onlookers. Some sources blurred the photos (for privacy? general public convenience etc), while others just let them as it is.

Drama Shooting Clogs Central Seoul

A series of car crashes, explosions and the ensuing exchange of gunfire between heavily armed North Korean spies and their South Korean counterparts shattered the normally tranquil morning of central Seoul, Sunday.

Braving chilly weather and unpredicted rainfall, the bloody fight continued into the evening and then the location was turned back to normal as if nothing had ever happened.

Don't fret.

The mayhem was simply the result of the shooting for an episode of the TV drama "IRIS" - a blockbuster thriller featuring popular Korean actors and actresses, including Lee Byung-hun, Kim Tae-hee, Jung Jun-ho and Kim So-yeon, which is aired every Wednesday and Thursday on KBS2.

The episode centered on South Korean agents trying to stop North Korean spies, who had infiltrated Seoul, from exploding a nuclear bomb in the metropolitan city with more than 10 million residents. For the large-scale battle scene, Seoul city made the unprecedented decision to block all lanes of a thoroughfare, which stretches past government, business buildings and the U.S. embassy, and leads toward Cheong Wa Dae, in the morning and then gradually open it to the public in the afternoon.

The blockade caused severe traffic congestion in central Seoul.

In a statement, the city said it made the decision to promote the capital to overseas viewers through the drama, which is to air in Japan as early as next year. Other Asian and European countries are in talks over television rights with its production company, Taewon Entertainment, the city added.

Unlike Western countries such as America that willingly allow the use of central parts of cities for filming, Korea has been reluctant to do so judging that private use of public facilities, even at the cost of public inconvenience, was unacceptable.

But permission was given in line with Seoul mayor Oh Se-hoon's aggressive efforts to promote the capital to foreign countries and eventually to make it one of the world's best tourist attractions.

"The main venue for the shooting, Gwanghwamun, is the very center of the city and represents 600 years of history," a city official said. "We expect the shooting to increase Seoul's international exposure." The city is also considering developing new tourist routes along the program's shooting locations, the official said.

Unless Vick's the lost son of Baek San or something (hinted in a particular scene in Ep 14), and he just needed somebody to confide in...and that's when MK came in. But then again, it's just a crazy wild guess.

It would be so weird if that were true. But I guess a father-son duo in the organization would be beneficial.

Anyway, seeing all these pictures makes me all the more excited to see the next episode!

In one of the captures posted by ncly in the codebox.. looks like HJ and KSH have been captured by NSS instead after what happened today. HJ of course, is assured the President's support & protection (unless, he's still going undercover to expose Baek San & IRIS) but what about KSH who is not a South Korean citizen?
