GOOMBA
APRIL 26, 2008 EDITED Ok this was an old thread of mine but I don't want to make a new one, so I'm just editing this... anyway, there's this sweet, sticky kind of sponge dessert (it's not sponge cake). It's not like bread/cake/cookies. It's sort of jello-y. It's an Asian dessert I know that for sure. Maybe Japanese or Chinese? It usually comes in pink, green, or white? Does anyone know what it is or knows what I'm talking about? Sorry, I don't know how else to describe it. Could somebody maybe post a picture? bluenette
It looks like it's made of the same things as her left ear except that with red dye. I think it's just surimi (the stuff that imitation crab sticks are made of)

Guest bubblexpffe
Are you talking about this? It's called Bánh Bò in Vietnamese. The image pasted is the baked kind and the one you're talking about is steamed.
