신세대 스타 김범이 드라마 촬영중 턱이 찢어지는 부상을 입었다.

김범은 지난 4일 오후 MBC 드라마 '에덴의 동쪽'(극본 나연숙·연출 김진만)의 격투신을 촬영하다 상대 스턴트 배우에게 맞아 오른쪽 턱이 1cm 가량 찢어지는 부상을 입었다.

부상 직후 김범은 인근 병원으로 옮겨져 5바늘을 꿰매는 치료를 받았으나 얼굴이 부어올라 더이상의 촬영을 진행하지 못했다.

김범 측 관계자는 "액션신 촬영중 상대 스턴트 배우와 합이 맞지 않아 세게 휘두른 주먹을 그대로 맞았다"며 "치료를 받은 뒤 현재 휴식을 취하고 있다"고 밝혔다.

김범은 이번 부상으로 '에덴의 동쪽' 촬영을 당분간 중단하고 이달 중순 홍콩 로케이션 촬영이 끝난 뒤 촬영에 복귀할 될 전망이다.

지난해 시트콤 '거침없이 하이킥'을 통해 스타덤에 오른 김범은 250억원이 투입된 이번 작품에서 송승헌이 맡은 주인공 동철의 고교시절 아역으로 캐스팅됐다.

한편 김범의 이번 부상으로 바쁜 일정으로 한창 촬영이 진행중이던 영화 '고死'(감독 창·제작 원터앤트리)의 촬영이 다소 차질을 빚었다. 김범은 오는 9일께 촬영장에 복귀할 계획이다.

I honestly don't think that these 4 stars are necessary the only leads of EOE. The storyline spans several decades, I believe the veteran actors will play major roles as well. Particularly Yoo Dong-geun who is a huge name in Korea, I will be very surprised if his role is minor.

Between LDH & LYH, I really think that LDH will have a bigger role than LYH based on their names alone. The same applies to SSH & YJH, SSH and LDH are bigger stars. I can be wrong though.

From the character descriptions I read it seems that both heroines Hye Rin and Young Ran are strong-willed women with a lot of gray areas. One is ambitious and cannot decide with her men. One is no-nonsense and a bit of a spoiled brat. Yay for no weepy heroines, I just wish the way they wrote the premise isn't so... odd.

The PD has always impressed me, I am currently loving La Dolce Vita.

I have never encountered anything the writer has worked on. Can anyone enlighten me?

The story concerns the stories of two boys born into the same hospital at the same time (the other being played by Yeon Jung Hoon) and their intertwining fates (shades of Autumn in My Heart? Just don't tell me he's got a long-lost sister he falls in love with too).

Lee Da Hae rounds out the love square; although it's not explicitly stated, I'm speculating purely based on current career trajectories that Lee Da Hae plays the main love interest and Lee Yeon Hee the tragic second fiddle. (Because stories like this — switched at birth! revenge! heartbreak! — scream tragic melodrama. All fifty-some episodes of it.)

I think people (even reporters) are confused about the two boys being switched at birth.

SSH is not one of these boys but the older brother of one of them (played by YJH).

Much earlier it seems that the story will focus about the fates of the two boys (YJH & PHJ),

but now the emphasis is definitely on the two brothers played by SSH and YJH.

imagine when both of them found out that they are not real brothers,

and for SSH, how shocking (and devastating) to know that YJH is actually the son of CMS,

whom he swore to seek revenge for murdering his father!

From what i read in the news, LYH and SSH seems to fall in love with each other,

and SSH was described as not only giving his full love....

but 'sacrificing love' to LYH (hope that doesn't imply any tragic ending! )

as for LDH, it was only mentioned that she is in love between SSH & YJH.

don't think anything mentioned about SSH in deep love with LDH.

Many of the articles mention about 2 men born in the same hospital, but the character names & their portrayers are not listed (like the Newsen article that we have here) so many just assume that they are SSH & YJH. What's known is that SSH & YJH play brothers (real or not is another issue) so that got some of them even more confused => leading to '2 brothers born in the same hospital'.

The other point is that even though the story is about '2 men who are born at the same time', they don't have to be the main characters; lots of events revolve around it. Just like Saving Private Ryan, Matt Damon (Ryan) was the not main actor of the movie. Does it make sense?

I don't know where I got the idea she may be spoiled... but maybe I skimmed too fast and it may have been just a comment. But both of the heroines don't seem like the typical ones, because honestly these two actresses always play the innocent type so a little change would be nice.

I'm seeing more Legends of the Fall parallelisms ... methinks their love will be tragic. I mean everyone's.

But so far, the news wire seems clueless, let's just wait for MBC's official descriptions for them, because right now it's not coming together.

I really hope the whole switch-a-roo during the birth would make sense on screen.

actually i think maybe we all are trying to fit the roles with the actors and actress casted in the roles, rather then looking at the characters itself . the basic background of the story lies in the two boy who were switched at birth and their stories and familes . so everyone is linked up , you wont know who is the focus till you get the final version of the drama out . and even then the script might be constantly changing , remember this is a 50 esp drama not a mini drama structure there are X times more actors and X times more sub plotline , ..it need to be complicated to last that long .lol

i am not too sure abt the writer ,but er i think maybe you mixed up the PD , this drama is by PD: Kim Jin-man [김진만] whose previous works are mostly light hearted drama , . La Dolce Vita is by Kim Jin min [김진민].

I do agree though, even the premise itself may not be as reliable. From my experience in K-dramas ... character descriptions, earlier premise, etc. ... these things are never the outcome. That's why I'm just waiting for MBC to release a press release and even THAT can change. As you said, they're probably still doing some adjusting, revising, and things to make this a substantial 50 episoder. I'm still doing somersaults in my head at 50 episodes?! 50!

It was reported recently that heroines nowadays are different from before as a result of changing times.

They are no longer 'damsel in distress', the female roles are stronger.

EOE is not a pre-made drama, therefore, the storyline/pairing can change depending on the audience's response.

Compared to Yi San, this is relatively short.

Initially, it was reported that Yoo Dong-geun would play the role of Shin Tae-hwan (now Jo Min-ki).

At the end of last year, he was involved in some disputes with 'The King & I' staff. Don't remember the exact details, but MBC or the production team was asked whether YDG would still be in EOE. Their response was that there would be no change & that he was one of the 1st stars chosen to star in this drama.

Now that YDG plays the casino boss, I'm guessing that he probably won't appear until Lee Dong-cheol grows up (unless he's tied to other characters from the very beginning as well); SSH will work very closely with him. From the readings, Dong-cheol has a difficult childhood because of his father's death. How sad...Kim Beom got injured while filming with the stunt actors.
