hi guys, i can't wait for the production to starting rolling some more, pics of where song seung heon would get expose, because i haven't seen him in a while since his movie fate.

i did a poster for east of eden with my choice of female lead: han ga in. please give some comments on what you guys think. i personally think ga in would be a great female lead. since they were suppose to work together in the city of god, why not work together in here.

There'll be many blockbuster dramas in the 2nd half of 2008. These large-scale dramas will film at various overseas locations.

IRIS (script: A. Story, direct: Lee Hyung-min, production: Taewon Entertainment & Kang Je-kyu) plans to start shooting in the 2nd half of this year for broadcast in the 1st half of next year. The collaboration of "I'm Sorry I Love You" PD Lee Hyung-min and actor Lee Byung-hun is gathering attention. With a production cost of 20 billion Won, its scheduled overseas filming locations include Russia, Japan, US, China, etc.

Replacing "Yi San" this June on MBC is "When It's At Night" (script: Kim Eun-hee & Yoon Eun-Kyung, direct: Son Hyung-suk, production: Lee Kim Production). Lee Dong-gun and Kim Sun-ah will be shooting in Japan.

Airing this May is MBC drama "Bittersweet Life" (script: Jung Ha-yun, direct: Kim Jin-min, production: Sam Hwa Networks). Oh Yun-soo and Lee Dong-wook shot their scenes in Hokkaido, Japan.

"Women Of The Sun / Sisters In Love" (script: Kim In-young, direct: Bae Kyung-soo, production: ), replacing "Three Dads And One Mom" in late May, plans to film in Hong Kong.

"East Of Eden" (script: Na Yun-sook, direct: Kim Jin-man, production: Chorokbaem)'s planned overseas locations include Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau and other major cities in Asia.

Historical drama "Countries Of The Wind" plans to have some filming done in China.

Song Seung-heon Will Be in Macao for 'East Of Eden'

Actor Song Seung-heon will travel abroad for overseas filming of MBC drama 'East Of Eden' at the beginning of June.

In 'East Of Eden', Song Seung-heon plays Dong-cheol who is the right hand man of Korea's biggest casino owner. In order to show the process of him becoming the best card distributor (casino dealer), he will be filming for 2 weeks in internationally renowned casino in Macao.

After news of Song Seung-heon visiting Macao leaked out, travel agencies and hotels received countless phone inquiries from 50,000 Asian fans. They would like to stay in the same hotel at the same time as him and visit the filming locations of 'East Of Eden' to support him. 'East Of Eden' is Song Seung-heon's first drama in 5 years (since KBS 'Summer Scent' from summer 2003) and also his return work since completing his military duty, therefore, fans are full of anticipation. He's been preparing/working hard for the drama by undergoing 1-month training with casino's card distributor (casino dealer).

In addition to Song Seung-heon, "East Of Eden" will include Yeon Jung-hoon, Yoo Dong-geun, Jo Min-ki, Kim Bum, etc. It is planned for broadcast during the 2nd half of 2008.

Will there be any female lead in this drama? I hope some pretty actress will join the set soon!

Casting is not complete yet. With so many stars in this drama, my guess is that she'll play an important role instead of being a female lead like the usual dramas.

Looking at the various male leads for this show, the female lead needs to be someone who can hold her own and plot wise, i guess she might be linked to 2 or 3 guys in terms of relationship......I'll vote for Lee Tae Ran!!! :) :) :)

^ I support that suggestion too. I also believe that Lee Tae Ran could be one of the female lead with her polished acting skills and she has the charisma to be with the strong casted male leads.

I vote for Lee Yoon Hee. She has a chemistry with SH in "Love song 2008" MV.

About Lee Tae Ran, she can be partner with other actors, not SSH, because I think she apparently looks a bit older than SH.

About Lee Tae Ran, she can be partner with other actors, not SSH, because I think she apparently looks a bit older than SH.

According to the all the postings shared by members here especially Yeohweping, actress Choi Jung-won will be paired with Yeon Jung-hoon & Park Hae-jin. The team is still looking for an actress to play Song Seung-hun's girlfriend, another actress to play Jo Min-ki's niece.

It seems like all the recent projects have one of these actresses: Lee Yeon-hee, Jung Ryeo-won, Lee Bo-young, and Han Ye-seul; all of them seem so young to me...If one of them is cast, hopefully, she'll play JMK's niece. For SSH's girlfriend, I like actresses like Park Jin-hee. :)

The team is still looking for an actress to play Song Seung-hun's girlfriend, another actress to play Jo Min-ki's niece.

It will be great if JMK's niece turns out to be ....SSH's girlfriend ! Why do they have to create up two characters ??? No need. Or at least SSH's girlfriend should have sth related to JMK's family ~~

Well it can be a Nuna-Yeonha nam relationship :)

Would be good if LTR can pair up with Park Hae Jin again!...I'm sure they'll be very comfortable with each other.

But there are already some plans rite?...All the best to all the actors/actresses and i hope filming will go smoothly.

Yes, Choi Jung-won will be paired with Yeon Jung-hoon & Park Hae-jin but I'm banging on a 3rd female lead at least! How can two of my fav actors have only 1 female lead! I do not want any of them to lose out at all. They are too good to be singled out esp. YJH!! So, won't it be nice if CJW with YJH and PHJ could be with Lee Tae Ran?? Just a fancy thought to share .... :)

I like that idea of JMK's niece to be SSH's girl too .... my pick for that would be Lee Yeon-hee!!

Chinese article about the filming of East of Eden released on 21 May 2008 in Upaper, Taipeh.

It mentions that the filming of EOE has started in Korea and the crew including SSH and PHJ is preparing to go to Macao in June for outdoor shooting. It seems that EOE which was originally planned to debut in August will be pushed further back to November because of script problem. There are plans to go to Taiwan for filming as the crew has approached a local TV station for assistance. Park Hae Jin's managing company has confirmed that he would be in Macao in June for 2 weeks before he flies back to Korea again afterwhich he would go to Japan.

I visited Hapcheon Image Park (filming site of Capital Scandal and Seoul 1945) sometime at the end of April.

Apparently, they were still setting up/building part of the the set of East of Eden.

The banner of the drama was also up.

Hopefully, I could post the photos soon.
