Rising actress Heo I-jae of the MBC series "Prince Hours" has been cast for her second starring role in a miniseries.

Heo I-jae will co-star Oh Ji-ho in the upcoming KBS drama series "Single Papa in Love" to be aired following "Bad Love" on February 18th.

The series is about a single father who is a pest exterminator by day and K-1 fighter at night.

Heo I-jae who is making a return after 8 months will play the role of Jeon Ha Ri, the only daughter of a wealthy family and medical student who falls in love with a single father played by Oh Ji-ho who has a 7-year old son. She will be drawing the cute love with Oh Ji Ho who seems to have a mismatched background.

Heo I-jae commented, "I am already excited to return in a warm and moving drama. I will do my best, putting in all my energy I gathered while resting"....

ooh, just saw the preview. i'm hooked - well, from the first impression i think i'm gonna love it. i love Oh Ji Ho.

but actually, I'm an HYJ fan ever since GoongS. (didnt care about her and the drama's detractors.) i just like looking at her face on screen. she's not the most beautiful actress, but she has this charm that makes you smile when you look at her. (hmm, does she have an official thread in soompi? better try to find it.) anyhoo... i'm glad she's back on the scene. she was really good in Sunflower.

'싱글파파는 열애중'이 가족애 분위기가 물씬 풍기는 '사람 냄새 나는' 포스터를 첫공개했다.

18일부터 방송되는 KBS 2TV 월화드라마 '싱글파파는 열애중'은 무조건적이고 절대적인 이타적 사랑을 그린다. 대개의 드라마가 주로 남녀상열지사(男女相悅之詞)인 에로스(eros)적 사랑을 다룬다면 '싱글파파는 열애중'은 는 아가페(agape) 사랑의 진수를 선보일 예정이어서 눈길을 끈다.

'싱글파파는 열애중'은 12일 오후 3시 서울 상암동 KBS미디어에서 드라마 제작발표회를 열면서 인상적인 포스터도 첫 공개했다.

이 포스터는 가족애를 부각시킬 수 있도록 가족앨범 형식을 띄고 있다. 강풍호 역을 맡은 배우 오지호와 아들 산이 역을 맡은 안도규 군이 이종격투기 하는 장면과 함께 앞으로 풍호가 두 여인과 펼쳐질 애정라인도 암시하고 있다.

아가페적 사랑은 강풍호가 7살박이 아들 산이를 어설프지만 정말 열심히 키워내는 부성애적 사랑에서 출발한다.

스무살에 만난 첫사랑 윤소이(강성연 분)가 산이를 낳은 후 떠나버리자 졸지에 싱글파파가 된 강풍호에게는 오로지 아들만이 인생의 목적이자 의미가 된다. 이런 풍호는 우연히 만난 의과대학생 전하리(허이재 분)와 운명적인 사랑에 빠진다. 외과의사인 아빠를 존경해 아빠같은 남자를 이상형으로 생각해온 전하리가 우연히 만나 사랑에 빠진 상대가 전혀 어울릴것 같지 않은 강풍호였던 것이다.

오지호는 "여러 작품을 해봤지만 이번 드라마처럼 아름다운 사랑이야기는 처음이다. 시놉시스를 읽으면서 신선한 충격을 받아 웃기도 하고 울기도 했다. 연기자를 떠나 인간적으로 꼭 한번 해보고 싶은 역할이었다 "고 처음으로 싱글파파를 연기하는 소감을 전했다.

드라마 제목중 ‘열애’는 ‘열심히 애키우는’의 준말이라는 것이 제작진의 해석.

제작사인 래몽래인은 “드라마에 나오는 모든 주인공들이 하나같이 사랑의 띠로 이어져 있다는 사실을 알게 될 것이다. 욕망에서 나오는 사랑이 아닌 간절하게 가족을 이루고 싶어하는 사람들의 이야기”라고 '싱글파파는 열애중'을 설명했다. “왜곡된 사랑, 불륜, 비비꼬인 인간 관계에 지친 시청자들에게 오랜만에 가슴 따뜻한 드라마가 될 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

At first I thought it would be a full blown comedy...but now it seems there should be a good mix of drama and comedy. I'm looking forward to the first episode. I need a new drama that I can get hooked into since Robbers is ending in a couple of weeks hehehe.
