Hyun Jyu Ni, who plays a close friend and fellow doctor of SHK's character in DotS, said all her scenes are with SHK in the script so far.  She said "Hye Kyo unnie is very nice, not only is she beautiful, but she is also kind-hearted, even her personality is very good.  Standing beside Hye Kyo unnie, I feel like a squid, ha ha ha.  Right now I'm learning while filming in a happy atmosphere."

kisshousevietnam A speculation that #songjoongki and #songhyekyo had a magazine photoshoot together or filmed drama scenes for #descendantofthesun because their separate photos were taken at a same place #casa32 in Korea. Let's support them! Kindly join the poster design contest for this drama

Making of Song Hye Kyo by Max Wahyudi

Max Wahyudi shared his latest 3D Art which is rendering of SongHyeKyo, the Korean actress. He did this one as a challange from his friends, and also because she is his favourite actress. So, making the head accurate was the most important one for him. He made her smile just for fun, but it turned out to be a very difficult process. http://student.vfs.com/~3d68max/199846_1156997804_large.jpg

For those of you wondering what action maestro John Woo has been up to in the five years since his last movie Red Cliff II (2009), here is the answer in the form of the international trailer for The Crossing – arguably the most ambitious Chinese film of all time.

Based on the true story of the steamer ship Taiping, which sank between China and Taiwan during the Chinese Revolution of 1949 and claimed the lives of 1,500 passengers and crew, Woo's latest is already being billed as the Chinese Titanic.

Even if that event is only hinted at at the end of this trailer, there's still plenty here, from epic battle scenes to the seeds of the yearning, intertwining love stories, featuring Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Takeshi Kaneshiro (House Of Flying Daggers), that propel the plot, to suggest that Woo is planning to up the ante established by Red Cliff (2008).
Woo has already gone on record to say that he wants his movie to have "the same impact as Dr Zhivago or Gone With The Wind." We'll be able to judge for ourselves when The Crossing hits the UK next year.

'The Crossing' part 2 to open on July 30

The second half of disaster movie "The Crossing" is set to premiere in Chinese theatres on July 30th.

d02788e9b6d416f703482f.jpg

A new trailer for the film, titled "The Crossing: The Other Shore," has also been released.

The sequel will focus on the actual sinking of the ship "Taiping," which is bound for Taiwan during the civil war in the late 1940's.

Critics have panned the first half of the film for developing too slowly, as well as questions about the need to break the film in half.

The first film only made 200-million yuan at the box office.

The film cost around 400-million yuan to film.

Dubbed China's "Titanic," the movie is directed by renowned action movie director John Woo.

The film stars Zhang Ziyi, actors Huang Xiaoming and Tong Dawei, South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo and Japanese actress Masami Nagasawa.

'The Crossing' Part 2 Graces Chinese Cinemas on July 30

Karen Vergara | Jun 27, 2015 06:31 AM EDT

The sequel to "The Crossing" will be released on July 30.

The sequel to the disaster movie titled "The Crossing" is set to hit Chinese cinemas on July 30.

Titled "The Crossing: The Other Show," the second part of the movie revolves around the passengers and the actual sinking of the ship "Taiping," which was on a journey to Taiwan during the civil war in the 1940s.

The first part of the movie, "The Crossing," is a romance, a disaster film, and a war film all in one. It did not receive glaring reviews primarily due to the film's slow pace. Critics also did not think that the first movie needed to be split in two parts.

The initial movie's story was set during the Chinese revolution in 1949, where three couples decided to run away from China to head to Taiwan.

"The Crossing" only gained 200 million yuan at the box office, much lower than the 400 million yuan it cost to finish the film.

Tagged as China's version of "Titanic," the movie directed by action movie director John Woo was described to be confusing and disappointing at the same time.

The Titanic sailed four days before it hit an iceberg, whereas the final voyage of Taiping only lasted a few hours.

"The Crossing: The Other Show" stars Zhang Ziyi, Huang Xiaoming, Tong Dawei, Korean actress Song Hye-kyo, and Japanese actress Masami Nagasawa.

Many viewers are hoping that the second installment will be a much better success than the first movie, both in delivery and box-office standing.
