I agree with you 100%. I like to watch his shows over and over again but the FL in both those shows was so boring and no chemistry. I could ignore her in TBDAW but her attempt at a sageuk in Joseon Gunman was underwhelming to say the least. I would have rewritten the script to make the second female lead end up with him, she was a badass character and had more chemistry with him.

It will be a challenge that I hope he will accept. It is always a dangerous choice for actors to take on a role played by another in a popular series but if anyone can do a good job it would be LJG. This role could be another defining one for his career if he makes it a success internationally like in Moon Lovers. He needs a new direction from the usual thriller revenge type shows and I for one would love to see him in Arthdal Chronicles 2. I enjoyed the first season but I am not a big fan of it or SJK so I would be much more interested to see the second season with my fave actor.

I am looking forward to this drama because it has LJG in it but I hope his next drama will not be a revenge theme again. I think most of his dramas have a revenge theme but I must admit that most kdramas do. I hope after Again My Life he will have the next drama lined up before another 2 years, maybe a sageuk .

I hope they don't use too much makeup to make him look young. The lipstick is too bright in those photos. I am looking forward to watching his new drama and I couldn't help myself from reading the beginning of the webtoon to know how it starts.

LJG didn't look too disappointed when the winner was announced so I think he was satisfied that he got recognition from the industry just by having been nominated. There has been a lack of good dramas lately so it might be awhile before we hear anything about a new project from him. It will be difficult to find another unique script like Flower of Evil. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a lighter fantasy drama just because I think it would be more fun and healthier for him after a dark drama.

It is too bad the show had to compete with Beyond Evil. I haven't watched it yet but at least he lost to a really good senior actor. I would have been very upset if he lost to any of the others because I think he was amazing in Flower of Evil, which I am in the process of watching again. I am glad it got the best director award, to be honest, the great directing is what I noticed first in the drama. I hope he will announce a project soon and it won't be another 2 years before we see him again.

Unless there is another main actor, I saw that Kim Seon Ho is posted as a main. So it is possible that LJG has turned it down.

@violinaThank you so much! He gives really good acceptance speeches and they were different for each of the venues. I am watching Mr. Queen and I would love to see him act with Shin Hye Sun in a comedy. I think he would have made Mr. Queen even more hilarious because of his ability to use micro expressions and his eyes while keeping a straight face. I keep checking any drama news for his next project.

Congrats to LJG for winning two AAA awards. He deserved them. He was amazing in Flowers of Evil. Apart from 2 little clips which reminded me that he was LJG I was totally immersed in the character Do Hyun Soo. One of the clips was near the beginning when he leaped over the counter in a fight, it was so LJG action. The other was near the end when he wore a tux for his wedding photo shoot, he looked too debonaire for the character. I may be wrong but I thought an ill fitted suit or a show of awkwardness would have been more in line with Do Hyun Soo. Anyway, I was kept at the edge of my seat throughout the series and had to pause and take a breather during the intense scenes since serial killers and psychopaths are scary for me. Despite this I want to binge watch it again so that I can relax and enjoy his acting. I am looking forward to his next project, maybe a light comedy? which reminds me that I found the scene with his sister and Moo-jin when they were talking about how he could please his wife and he said that finding the murderer would please his wife, and with such a straight face that I couldn't help but break out laughing.
Thanks to everyone for all the interview clips and photos here. I hope a translated AAA award ceremony will be available.

After the first two episodes I tried to hold back and wait until the show completed but failed. Episodes 3 and 4 were so good. I watched ep 3 before bed and found it hard to go to sleep after so I waited until Friday morning 4 am to watch ep 4 and it didn't disappoint me, it woke me up completely, it was so exciting. This show has rejuvenated Kdrama which has been getting pretty boring the last 2 years. The directing and editing is top notch and the acting of all the characters are great especially our two leads. If you are expecting the regular psycho thriller then you would be disappointed, the real story lies with the two leads, their past, present and what the future will bring. Now I understand what the director meant in his interview about it being 20% suspense and 80% melodrama. I hope the show will continue to shine until the end. Happy watching everyone !

I really miss LJG in sageuks, that genre doesn't have much to offer these days with the younger actors, not enough depth and heart. I can't wait to see his new show but I am hoping his character isn't going to be all bad
I still think he should do another Goryeo period show, I miss Moon Lovers -

I miss him in Sageuks. Every time there is a new one without him in it I can't bring myself to watch for awhile. I so would have liked him to have taken on My country: The New Age or The King: Eternal Monarch or any for that matter. I don't like seeing him as more like an idol doing concerts and ads than a real actor. I want him back on the screen !!!

He looks so cool in this concert with his slim fitting outfits. I wish I could have gone but I went to the Hong Kong concert and April 28th was too close a date to fly 15 hours back again. I just left Seoul on April 1st
He looked good with the gray/silver hair and pink suit, carried it off well. The venue looked great, much better than Hong Kong. I am not sure that we are going to get a screen project from him this year, the pickings for a good script seems slim. I think the writers are in a rut, there has only been a few good kdramas out in the last 6 months. There seems to be more and more reality and variety shows, which I don't watch unless it features our number one actor -

At this point I am not picky about who he is partnered with, I just want him on screen. If "Along with the Gods" series has a different story from the movies, he would make a good lead in it, all serious and in black
. Speaking of partners, I would still like to see him in a drama with Park Min Young, the chemistry between them on screen is too good to be ignored.

I agree. I checked out the list of dramas for 2019 and there is only two that I can see which don't have a male lead cast, Hotel de Luna (IU female lead) and Oddball which is a Joseon period one. I am hoping that he may be considering Hotel de Luna because he said he wanted to do a fantasy romance. Also, the fans of Moon Lovers get to see them together again

I don't think he needs to diet because he is so active he burns any extra calories.

I am going to look for the Penegreen brand when I am in Korea after the HK concert
. I hope his hair stays dark for the concert, he looks so good with dark hair, the light hair doesn't do justice to his features.
I don't know if the press conference is open to the public but it is far from where I am staying and I may be too tired from a 15 hr flight to make it there

I don't think he will make any announcements on his next project until his "Delight" tour is finished. I will be at his last concert in Hong Kong so hopefully he will give us a hint then, but I may not understand what he says
. I am going to extend my trip after the concert to Korea and this time I hope I can see at least one site where Moon Lovers was filmed.

Yes, it is too bad that in Asia fans get too involved with an actor's private life. Who are we to say who is good enough for him or not in real life. I only care about who is a good co-star for him in his projects.
I hope in real life he will find someone he loves and be happy.
Waiting to hear of his next project.
