Lastly, when she looked back and you can see in her face that look of determination to save her pride as she finally leaves NQ. Yeah. I’m sad coz she’s sad but I am mighty proud coz she finally took that first step for herself. Our baby’s all grown up and being an adult - ditching toxic guys and taking alimony.

And yeah, they shouldn’t have added that part. It’s just pure fanservice for all NQ/MSS shippers who haven’t really read the novel. Scenes like that do take away some important parts that should’ve been included in the drama in the first place. And @Snow Guardian you have to breath sweetie.. relax... hahaha! I like your passion. You’d probably beat some sense to the scriptwriter if and when you happen to see her. I bet Mao Ni would have a word with her too, if he knew what’s been change with his novel. HAHAHA.

They have to face, NQ especially, the reality that losing each other, whether physically or to other people, is just not a good idea. Totally sum up my feels with the recent eps. And if not for everyone's spoiler goodies I would be more of Mad (mostly at NQ of course LOL)
I didn't watch the most recent ep (I plan on binge-watching it this holidays
) but I browsed IG (and some spoilers here as well hehe) and NQ-SS reunion has this bittersweet (mostly bitter of course) feel to it. It's like you're in the drama, you know what's gonna happen but you don't have the powers to knock some sense to this insensitive brat named NQ. And you can't hug poor baby SS just to ease some of the pain/loneliness she's feeling at that moment. I actually felt crappy after seeing their reunion, I teared up. HAHA.
I mean, they're finally together after a long time, they are in this small space yet you can see that a vast distance has formed between the two. They're in the old brush shop, their supposed home yet the two of them felt so different as if they're strangers. It's like NQ is there but not totally, which is the worst thing that can happen to SS. I still remember how she imagine NQ is beside her and just happily talk about how her days pass to this imaginary young master. But when the real one appeared, he felt like a stranger to her. Okay, a lump is forming in my throat now. *Hides and sobs*
However, sad this may be, I think this will catapult them to finally mature and grow as individuals, especially SS. And when I say SS, I meant drama SS. Novel and Drama SS has just become so opposite, it's funny. LOL.
Also, SS may not have good-looking guys fawning over her (unlike NQ's harem) but she has found her parents - nice, kind and loving, which for me is waaaay better than having her swarmed with suitors (I'd love that too just to richard simmons off the brat NQ but I know it ain't gonna happen so.. LOL) and she has the loyalty of Chen Pipi.
By the way, thanks @satanghaesolim your choice translations of the recent eps are the best and yeah, made me tear up more.
I'm still catching up with the pages so go on and discuss and spoil us more.
By the way, where is @thartie <---my spirit animal LOL.

hahaha First didnt interact much with SangSang but not 2nd.....2nd had to chance to interact more with SangSang.....i find that it is pretty balance....those who interact with SangSang more naturally will fall in to support and wishes NingQue to ended up with SangSang however those who interact or saw the way NingQue is with MSS they will fall in to support them ....
at the same times those who never ever came into much contact with either one will stay neutral but are eager for NingQue to hook with either as in the book it stated that their main motive is to avoid Princess LiYu or any of the King ppl trying to involve NingQue too much into the political games.....
however one thing for sure....FuZi knows who is SangSang and he knew from the beginning who is the best with NingQue.....and from the outlook of thing...Fuzi wants NingQue to end up with SangSang....as when he will confine NingQue to the back mountain.....he told NingQue to bring SangSang together.......
it was also FuZi who meddle and have the emperor to give a decree to the General Secretary that they shouldnt stop SangSang from returning to NingQue if this is Miss SangSang wishes......

Ashes of Love i stopped around episode 35 - I will Finish eventually but the book readers in that thread put me off.
MA and fight breaks sphere - I quit early on something about them is just not right for me , MA had the annoying sister and fight breaks sphere is decent but the writing is cringe.
The flame daughter - i did not connect with at all.
Blood Romance - is sort of a Wuxia its pretty good and ill Finish.
Legend of Fuyao - I liked and will finish eventually but it got lost 3/4 the way in and had a disaster and dull like 15 episodes.
Cinderella Chef - Just to basic for me it had nothing new or interesting the leads were pretty good though.
Legend of Yun Xi - I got spoiled something so watching it put me off ill most likely get around to watching it again.
The Eternal Love 2 - Just a mess dont like how they did this season at all, will still most likely finish it though.
An Oriental Odyssey - I quit this drama im not sure if ill go back im really not a fan of this detective police crap.
Ever Night is better than all of these for me and its by alot, has the best acting and less annoying characters around the MC , also most of these are novels and it was adapted the best.
Even though i have not finished all these drama's i rank them.

OMG! I’m just like you! HAHAHAHA! Due to my Kdrama slump (Recent dramas are just unappetizing for me. LOL) I have turned to Cdrama and WuXia is just, just too breathtaking. Literally. I wasn’t even turned off by the long episodes nor the bad dubbing/subbing.
I actually started with Ashes of Love but stopped at ep45 (LOL). And not trying to be funny, I finished Flame Daughter just coz I love Vic Zhou (My first love MG1 days)
I started Fight Break Sphere but can’t finish ep 1 just coz the male lead is annoying me and ironically, this cdrama was what got me started with Ever Night... Thank God!!!! Hahahah! I do find some similiraties between the two and MA as well but I really love Ever Night. Even if NingQue is annoying the hell out of me right now. LMAO.
Super happy I found people like me. Hahaha!

Yep. Novel SS is cool and not as emotional as Drama SS. Still, I love both.

TOTALLY! YES! EverNight deserved to be known outside of China and be subbed properly. So... lezz go and spread good words about this awesome drama.
Now that I’m faithfully reading the novel (didn’t cheat nor skipped a chapter LOL), I can finally see the diff between NingSang novel and NingSang drama, which I find really interesting. It’s funny because the novel consists mostly of constructed words yet NingSang felt more real and gritty like you could almost touch their suffering and pain and of course, their simple joys of just being together. I also think that it’s mostly just the work of my own vivid imagination. LMAO.
BUT, the princess and LQ STILL annoys the hell out of me. Like I really want to gift both with a dose (or a slap, if I may) of reality that tells them that “No. The world doesn’t revolve around you and no one really cares so shut up both of you.” *sigh* Whether in the drama or in the novel, both are really, really useless.
