  1. Goo Hye Sun's explanation (the only one that appears to be actually heartfelt and rings of the truth) shows just how easily that the public can be manipulated by social media and the concerted efforts of large corporation interests to sway public sentiment to their side in order to maintain power and cash flow. Having seen how social media, like Facebook, and other corporate outfits can have such a large an effect on a gullible, and easily convinced, public I'd really like to see something done in order to rein them in. In my country, we've seen that elections can, and are, manipulated, in such a manner, in ways so powerful that humans can be convinced that what they see and know is not really what their eyes, ears, hearts, and history should tell them that they already know to be true. People are victims of both falling prey to sort of a worldwide "telephone game" and their own failure to discern what they know to be true because it flies in the face of what they wish to be true. Is there truth in advertising? Sometimes yes, often no. Despite the fact that GHS's words and deeds have long been a matter of public record and general knowledge to those who have come to know her through trusted, and easily proven, sources those who came late to the game were swayed to the side of the perpetrators and not the victim.  Thankfully, she enjoys the loyalty and compassion of her family, her long time fans, and her four-legged children, and she has the ability to access things for what they are combined with the strength of character to continue on, knowing that she is in the right, and the she will overcome these obstacles. I'm looking forward to her resuming her career, but am halfway worried that, if cast in the villain's role, that the public may come to accept this as her actual personality as the more simple-minded ones seem to have done with so many others in the public eye. Time will tell... Happy Holidays, Everyone! :)

  2. This baby will be truly blessed to be born into a family such as this. I miss seeing both Yoon Ji and Lani. May everything go as smoothly as possible for Yoon Ji and her family. Congratulations, one and all! I'm looking forward to seeing the new addition when he, or she, arrives. :)

  3. Goo Hye Sun posted pictures on her instagram showing her to be healthy, smiling, and just as drop-dead gorgeous as ever. While I would always avoid reading the comments on this heavily trolled site, she looks amazing, and it is very promising to see that she remains busy. I can't imagine her giving up on acting all together, and she is obviously much more popular (with mature minded thinkers, at least) than not. Let's just hope that we'll be seeing her soon as a part of some drama, in the near future. 4. I've been watching her latest drama series (In which she is outstanding and lovable, as always!) and have gone back to viewing her classic 2007 drama Thank You while waiting for each new episode of When the Camellia Blooms to upload. A similar story and character development, but what really strikes me is just how little Gong Hyo Jin's appearance has changed a dozen years later. She still looks like the same 'Young Shin' who everyone eventually fell in love with, and became so protective of her and her family on 'The Blue Island.' A consummate actress and an incredible natural beauty. I don't think that we'll ever top that generation of actresses born in the early and mid 80's. In my opinion, Korean drama hit it's artistic peak during the previous decade. I can always go back to some of those classic dramas and still become moved in the same way. :)

The words that were interpreted correctly (some are confusing, but some appear very accurate) by the Google translator are very encouraging, and so like our Goo Hye Sun! She answered as honestly, and righteously, as the person she we have always known her to be. She said that she has the right to fight and get her side of the story out. She relates that she's been in the entertainment industry for a long time and has gotten used to the many kinds of reactions from the the public. Her greatest line was, when asked about returning to to acting after so long away and in the midst of this personal crisis she replied, "I didn't harm society. I'm not afraid. I believe it will work." That's our girl stating firmly that she will once again become the plucky, warrior in the spirit of her famous character. Yang Gukwha and Geum Jandi would never back away from a challenge, however daunting it may seem. Neither, my friends, will Goo Hye Sun. Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!!! :)

Hi, I dunno abt you guys but I cant seem to sign in/log in in soompi news, to comment under comment section...since most of the comments thereare bias to the jerk husband of hers, I feel somenone has to point out what he did wrong but I cant comment to defend her...what abt you all?

I have the same problem. It used to work for me, but no longer does. It's just as well, though, because I really don't feel like trying to educate those twits. Their minds are both closed and empty. None of them know GHS like we do. It's just a bunch of people being swayed by the smear campaign set up by her husband's management. They cannot be reasoned with and I suspect that many are paid to steer public opinion in their favor. Hye Sun's fans have no vested interest other than to support both her and the truth, which will eventually come to light once the proceeding go to court...

  7. To make things clear, I was paraphrasing, from memory, what I remembered about the list of rules found here, at Soompi.

If you dare to read the comments, they are mostly attacks on Hye Sun. The parts I mentioned are the ones that stood out to me. I can't imagine that she was referring to her husband's treatment of anyone else, but herself.  He shared their home with her and their pets. I can't imagine anyone else who might have been in the line of fire.  https://www.soompi.com/article/1349937wpp/ku-hye-sun-list-rules-ahn-jae-hyun-follow-during-marriage

  8. The thing that I wonder about the most, which has been completely glossed over by the AJH fan-girls and and those attacking GHS as being manipulative, over-bearing and all of the other nonsense that has been flung her way, is the fact that she found it necessary, after several months of marriage, to draw up that contract outlining what she expected from her husband. Along with her "unreasonable" demands, as his life partner and mate, she included that he was to: Pick up after himself, help with the household chores, clean his cat's litter box (once a week), not come home stinking drunk, AND: Not to come home in a violent mindset that included: pushing, slapping, and swearing. Does anyone think that is ever okay for a man to beat his wife, for any reason? Is this something that is to be expected by a woman in her marriage? The only reason that she would have included all of these rules is if they were actually taking place.  So she's crazy because she doesn't wish to be his live in maid and occasional punching bag. Am I missing something here?

  9. Right you are @mel22. Our Goo Hye Sun is a wonderful combination of talent, sparkle, wisdom, and energy. She is enormously well-liked, and respected within the Korean entertainment industry and has never had to depend upon attaching herself to anyone else's star in order to become successful. To the contrary, it has usually been her luster that others working on the same projects have received a spark to enhance their own ambitions and careers. Witness most of the cast of Boys Over Flowers, who talented on their own as they may be, were relative unknowns before meeting Geum Jandi in the person of this one of a kind talent. She has always been honest, forthright, and unflinchingly loyal to her friends and obligations. This is reflected in her numerous charitable deeds, her love of her family, friends, and her menagerie of furry companions. Could any one us imagine GHS ever being guilty of using, abandoning, and befouling the memory of someone, or something that she has taken to her heart in the way that he who shall remain nameless has so callously done? His loses are just beginning to add up. They will be severe and long lasting. Never once, under the most disheartening circumstance did we ever see our "farm girl" Yang Gukwha roll over and become defeated by the blues meanies, and, like her famous characters, GHS will once again prevail in the end. She is made of sterner stuff than that. "Hell hath no fury", indeed...

  10. Sadly, this tragic story very much mirrors one that I recently read which was actor Tony Curtis' autobiography. Curtis, a marginal actor known more for his looks than his artistic abilities, married a well-known, talented Hollywood actress, Janet Leigh (the couple are the parents of Jamie Leigh Curtis), who gave him the opportunity to land bigger roles and receive unlimited press as half of a celebrity couple. There was never any question as to which one was the talent, but the teen magazines, and fan magazines quickly had millions of fan girls gushing over the young actor, who was soon bedding his way through Hollywood, partying from east to west, while his wife stayed back raising their two daughters and cutting back on her career in order to build and keep their home. In his book, the spin, of course, took a different direction. Here, we have Goo Hye Sun, by far the talent of the family, sacrificing herself, assisting her husband at every turn, even agreeing to have their home life put on the screen while her husband appears to play the role of the doting, over-the-moon for his wife, partner. Was it all just an act? We can certain that it was not on Hye Sun's end. Why? We've had about a decade and a half to get to know her. We, here at Soompi, have spent many years getting to know and admire her as both a special person and an extra special talent. We've become incensed and defensive as the green-eyed monster of jealousy, that is rampant, and unabating in the world of K-Drama, has repeatedly attacked her ever since her biggest role (as Geum Jandi in Boys Over Flowers) put her in the cross-hairs of fangirls who could not stand the fact that our beloved princess stood in such close proximity to their "oppas." Never mind the fact that this very proximity of them to this wonderful talent is what made each of them into household names to begin with. A simple query of her co-workers, directors, friends, staffers, and pretty nearly every person who has come into contact with her would reveal near unanimous results exulting her character and person. I wonder if the same can be said of her wandering husband?

  11. I am happy to have Goo Hye Sun complete as many works of art, writings, and music as she can possibly produce, but nothing, for me, compares with seeing her of the small screen. I met, and fell in love with her person, through her through acting in dramas. I miss this Goo Hye Sun the most and wish that she would return to us as an actress. The drama world is not the same without her on the small screen. I hope and pray that she will return to us soon...

  12. It was my thought also, @geumtrangdi, that GHS could be accepting all of these challenges in order make herself stronger for her next project. As with many others (although our princess seems to always get hit the hardest), GHS has had to deal with maniacal frothing and absurdly mean attacks from "antis" which has led to her going underground at times. She is much stronger now, and enjoys the unfailing devotion of her husband, those in her personal world, and, of course, her loyal fans, who love and believe in her. Whatever the outcome, I hope that she remains positive. We'll be ready for her whenever she returns, at whatever she does. :)

  13. There has never, ever, been any doubt that Yoon Eun Hye's ability to act is first rate. As is such with so many talented persons, at all ages, in this industry. In the dozen years since I first became immersed in the world of Korean drama, I've never ceased in my own amazement at the abilities of the people who appear in these productions. That said, Yoon Eun Hye  certainly ranks among the finest of her age group. As a long time fan, I wish for both her and for her fans, that this return to the small screen will be every bit as amazing as have been her past productions. My introduction to her came through  'Vineyard Man', which convinced me that I had discovered an actress worthy of acclaim. She has yet to let me down in any other production that she has, or had, signed on to either before, or since,. I can't wait to see her plying her trade once again... :)

  14. Yoon Ji and little Lani were a huge hit due to their appearance on ROS. Lani is cute and sweet like her mom and is the mirror image of Yoon Ji as a child. Fans would like them to appear more often as there are fewer girls on the program and Lani is so cute and smart. A belated happy birthday to Yoon Ji, who turned 34 (Western age) two days ago. :)

  15. Attempting to walk through the airport unnoticed, but still breaks into a smile and waves to the fan taking her picture. :)  Safe travels, Princess! Let's hope that all of her health issues have passed and she'll return to the screen soon...:D

  16. Just finished watching Yoon Ji's Person Who Brings Happiness, which is something that seeing her always does for me. :) A great drama and a chance to see her playing the lead for about six months. She was outstanding, as usual, and will hopefully be at the year drama awards again. In the final episode, the daughter of her character looked just like her own little girl. Not sure it was her though. Happy to see her staying busy and awaiting her next television series....
