I guess that I should add a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! to our "young girl warrior", as well. Thank you, Yoon Eun Hye for being such a special person and for bringing out the best side of all of the fans that are proud top admit that they love you. The world can never have sweetness and light and you are doing more than your share to insure that we get our daily fix. Bless you all too for the positive feelings that you bring to this ever growing thread.

I like the half of this poll that asks people to list "underrated" shows because it may allow others the opportunity experience the same level of pleasure that other viewers may have enjoyed in something that reader may have missed.
The "overrated" part tends to bring responses from "antis" who enjoy any opportunity to spit into the punch bowl at parties. Attacking the talent to build one's own ego reveals much more about the psychological make up of the writer than the actual performers in question here. In most cases, it's all good in the world of KDrama. In America, we make stars of a great many people who appear to have no socially redeeming qualities at all. Has any of us ever been given good reason to react negatively about Yoon Eun Hye or any of the others recently skewered here?
Having added that, I'll add a few that I've enjoyed and would like to recommend people take another look at:
Thank You- The best "little" drama of 2007. Snuck in under the radar and deservedly won many hearts
Vineyard Man- A good story, a great setting, and a sweet romance between it's two main characters.
Pure in Heart- A marathon that ended too soon for me, featuring the immensely diverse talent of the sparkling Goo Hye Sun.
Here Comes Ajumma- Still in progress and making me look forward to the end of the weekend so that I can see the show on Monday.

Jisu and her man will be getting married very shortly on "Earth and Sky" (on Los Angeles t.v. stations), she was trying on wedding gowns last Friday. This girl is so pretty and the character she plays (Jisu) in he current series is the perfect friend, girlfriend, fiancee.... (I also enjoy the actress that plays her stepmother, and Hong Soo Ah, who plays Eunha.) -
she played Lee Yoon Ji's ex-husbband i guess. the guy that she agreed to get married too after Woo Kyung basically denied her. sad thing is, day after they got married, they figured out that he had a lover on the side so that was the end to their marriage. i didnt know it was him until now haha\
but yeah, how did this drama end? did Na Ohn Im and Yoo Chan get together???
Now, I remember. Thanks for the response. I hated that guy when he hurt "Snowcone." I'm happy now that he's there steal to Uchan's Aunt from his creep of a father!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been trying to get the HQ versions of this drama for more than a week now. I only need episodes 11,12,13 to complete it. No one seems to be seeding those episodes. Is there any other place I should be looking to get these episodes.
And i have already checked this thread for non clubbox links Soompi non Clubbox for Dramas, etc

I cannot a single soul not becoming instantly smitten by this beautiful, lively, extremely talented, yet humble young lady. From the first glimpse I caught of her in episode one of Vineyard Man, through every instance that I've seen of her in all of her dramas, commercials, and modeling assignments; I've found her captivating. We just don't have stars of this vast charisma and quality of person here in the United States. I can only hope that as her star continues to rise and she captures still more of the world's attention that she'll always remain the same pure, simple, lovely ray of sunshine that she is today. Stay sweet, My Chan! We love you

Actress Ku Hye Sun has made a cameo appearance in the Hollywood film 'August Rush' starring Robin Williams.
Her agency commented on the 17th, "Per the request of Kirsten Sheridan, director of 'August Rush,' Ku Hye Sun left for New York last March and participated in the filming for approximately one month." Ku Hye Sun plays one of the wandering musicians Robin Williams leads.
Director Sheridan sent an invitation writing that she was told Ku Hye Sun is a growing actress in Korea and would like to hold a meeting along with the producer in New York and Los Angeles and have her participate in the filming.
Ku Hye Sun says, "Regardless of how big or small the role is, I was motivated by the meticulousness of Hollywood filming and expression of all the talent."

Yeah, she' a real sparkler! So lively in her expressions, so cute and spunky. I remember hoping that the Dr. that she went to to see about getting plastic surgery in Pure in Heart would tell her that she didn't need anything fixed. He didn't let me down! She's just as cute as she needs to be.

Absolutely my favorite drama and character (Little Gukwha, of course!) of all time! It went on forever and yet it still ended too soon for me. I miss these characters and enjoy watching all of them as they appear in other roles, but it's never quite the same. It still seems so amazing to me that a talent as great as Goo Hye-Sun could have gotten her start just by sending in an "ullzang" shot and someone with a great hunch unleashes this whirlwind onto a public that takes to her instantly. How she is able to twist that pretty face into so many different contortions
:fury: and have it turn back into a complete angel is just amazing .The main thing that I loved about this show is that all of the characters turned out to be "pure in heart" it's just that some of them needed to be guided along the way by the pure and gentle spirits that were embodied mainly in the soles of Gukwha and Lee Min Woo's Ugyeong. Seeing three generations of two families finding out the importance of living an honest and pure life and being shown the way by this plucky, effervecent, never-say-die orphan from a faraway place made my own heart sing in anticipation of each new episodes. For the first time in my life, I couldn't wait for the weekend to be over!
I also found both Choo So Young (as Shin-hyeong) and Lee Yun-Ji (as Jun-Jeong, the "Iceman's sister, who we called "Snowcone" in another thread) to be drop-dead gorgeous and am somewhat amazed that Lee Jun-Ji's star hasn't risen higher. The middle and elder generation actors were also outstanding and it seems as if the Hong family Grandfather (Shin Goo) is in every other series (most notably as "Mr. Lee" in this year's Thank You) that I tune in to.
I would recommend this drama to anyone who has a heart or is looking for an inspiration to make it beat a little faster. You can find it here in the character of Yang Gukwha and in the performance of Goo Hye-Sun. I'm so looking forward to spending another few months with her in her new series and I'm certain that it will again lead me back into that box of 167 episodes to take pleasure in the company of this amazing young lady and this life-affirming saga.

This was the first KDrama boxed set that I purchased online after merely reading of it's overwhelming popularity and the impact that it had upon its viewers. After receiving it via UPS and popping the first disc in, I ended up holed up in my room for two days watching one episode after the other until I finished it. In the end, I was completely drained and lived with those images, the music, and the beautiful face of Choi Ji Woo burned into my brain for several weeks. When I read of people complaining the that Miss Choi's crying grew burdensome to them or that they grew impatient with the pacing of the story, I can only wonder how they see the world around them on a daily basis
.This drama was indeed the one that sent the tidal wave of Korean products to every shore and all the nit-picking in the world cannot detract from it's magnificence. I refuse to allow the fact that the occasional appearence of the boom-mic becomes visible and or that this scene or that scene drags on too long (for those with short attention spans) interfere with the feeling that I got while watching this (and, by extension, KDramas in general) tale of hope and rebirth. The visceral beauty alone combined with the emotional performances of the principal actors translates, without the need for written translation, a story that should be near and dear to the hearts of all things human. Miracles can and do happen and true love never dies.
And neither will the spirit of Winter Sonata. It is the Gone With The Wind of Korean Drama.

It would be pretty hard to find fault with any of these enormously talented, cute kids. I'd have to rate Seo Shin Ae as "Lee Bom" in Thank You at the top along with the kid who played "Galchi" in Misa and, of course, the ever adorable Jung Da Bin as both Shinbi (Wonderful Life) and whatever her name was in Really Really Like You. These kids all have great futures ahead of them and I'm certain that we'll be seeing their shining faces for years to come. I like the Japanese and Korean child actors alot better than most of our American kid actors who tend to act like miniature adults whose growth has been stunted.

A dazzling natural beauty! Such a sunny smile and a sweet sounding voice. She is the reason that I tune into the "Earth and Sky" series. Now that she has a guy chasing after her, I hope that the size of her role increases.

There are three KDrama stars that I will arrange my day around and am captivated by anything that they do; Eugene Kim, who is so beautiful that the sun must blush the minute one of it's rays comes into contact with her, Yoon Eun Hye whose versitility and mass appeal insures that she will very soon be able to command any price and take on any role, and Goo Hye Sun, who came from nowhere and is the best of the lot.
Long live Yang Gukwha and long may we enjoy the talents and radiance of the incomparable Goo Hye Sun!!!I can't wait to see her in her new series.

I don't think that there is any need to worry about Goo Hye-Sun. I've never known this talented actress to fail in any role given to her yet. Like Oh Man Suk, she is seriously versatile and very capable of both grasping ahold of and growing into her character. The longer running series tend to allow the audience to see these changes at an even pace whereas movie characters must be quickly established and quickly evolved. I'm certain that her best "innings" are still to come.
