@kristy86 Haha! I live for making event timelines when it comes to shows. You should see what I can do with calendars in the background/date references and a little bit of googlefu! :P With DotS I am too wrapped up in squeal moments and witty banter to pay attention to whether we see actual dates on phones and what not in the background. I only remembered a date being mentioned for the RV concert because it's a jealousy moment and I absolutely love those.

Based on SJ's conservative nature plus the fact that he and MY had only been dating for around 3 months before his "last" mission, I don't think they did the deed before he left. However, the cot that MY uses in Albania is pretty small. They had to have been literally on top of each other; even more so than in the hospital bed from Ep. 14.

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTYUZVoosmfEA--1yI_jduimages?q=tbn:ANd9GcTZrlvxV-2jChFKfCDU9uM

Look at the size of that bed in Albania. He's taking up half of it just sitting down! They probably ended up sleeping like this:

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR_c_hnu56rH4mdWgIT0KG\

I was going to say that they probably did something after he was shot in Ep 14 but she was still acting innocent there. They only ended up in the same bed because they fell asleep while watching a movie.

I "think" they did it after he came back from the dead... as for the Albania they might really "sleep" in the same bed spooning and everything but when they came back to Korea the tent and fishing scene she still act innocent thou SiJin even said the "I thought you don't lie down with men in the same bed" but as for the preview that they have the foot scene that they cut out (I think it safe that they did the sexy thing) because even MoYeon said she's not the same yeoja anymore that girl is 1 year younger and she's clueless ahahaha

~~so I think scratch the Albania spooning and everything scene~~ :sweatingbullets:

sooooo I'm still wondering about the hospital spooning scene thou... what they did first thing in the morning(?) who fell asleep first(?) but based on the next episode I'm guessing MoYeon fell asleep first (working in the ER and OR in the same time is a bit toxic and tiring) because SiJin got MoYeon's confessing on his phone (does he get it when MoYeon fell asleep or he got it long time ago by using his Specail Force training thingy to get his way of things for MoYeon) .

Woah, I just got 13 out of 16 even I've been re-watching almost everyday. The translation is a bit different with the ones I have, lol. I missed 9, 14 and 15. The quiz is fun :D

OMO, I missed your fic @themarchioness Just read it, SJ is so sweet such a good husband and son-in-law. And MY's mom is still so cool, lol. I just love her, MY must get her straightforward attitude from her mom. Please continue writing... :D

SJK looked genuinely shocked here, the foam on his lip, omg  :joy: MY really doesn't spare her breath

    3sHp6s7.gif

Did they or did they not :flushed:  Love how SJ moves his gaze back and forth from the cup to MY's face with that mischievous expression on his face. And MY's "hmmm" at the end is so cute...

I don't normally do this, but since so many of you hankered after a pregnancy story, I thought I'd share a sneak peak of the beginnings of my Project for the Week.  It's still untitled and very much a work in progress, which means it may get edited, but far this is what I have so far.  What do you think?

      Hide contents

Doc Pyo, also known as Pyo Ji Soo, was just pouring herself a cup of tea when her colleague and best friend, Kang Mo Yeon, came lumbering none too gracefully through her office door.

"Yah, what are you doing here?” she asked.  Last time she’d checked the clock it was already 8 pm.  The only reason she was still at work was because she was on night duty that week.

“I’m on call tonight,” Mo Yeon said, as she settled herself as best she could in the chair across from her friend’s desk and tried not to look too uncomfortable.  Even if she did feel like a freight train had settled somewhere on her back.  Hips.  Bladder.  Ankles.  Pretty much everywhere.  The only problem was if she dared to voice those complaints, her colleagues would send her home, which was the last place she wanted to be.  Even if it meant walking around in discomfort, she much preferred being at work.

    “Again?”

Mo Yeon shrugged.  “Are you going to share your tea with me or not?”

“What’s wrong with your department,” Doc Pyo asked.  She dug out another mug for her friend.  “You’d think they’d cut a pregnant woman some slack.”

“Don’t be mad on my behalf.”  Mo Yeon accepted the cup of tea and took a sip of the warm liquid, letting it soothe her insides.  “They wanted to cut me from the on call list this last month, but I insisted they keep me on.”

“What’s wrong with you?  You’re eight months pregnant and look like you’re about ready to burst.  You shouldn’t even be working let alone handling on call duties.  As a doctor, you should know how important it is for you and the baby to get rest.”

“You sound like my mother,” Mo Yeon grumbled.

“You should listen to your mother.  This time,” Doc Pyo added, lifting her own mug for a sip.

“Don’t nag me.  Let me work.  There’ll be plenty of time to rest once the baby comes.”

“Once the baby comes, you’ll be running around after the baby,” her friend wisely predicted.  “I really think you should go home.  Call another doctor to take your place tonight.  What about Dr. Song?  I bet he’d take your shift for you.  Or better yet, call Dr. Kim.  There’s no way she can no to you in this situation.”

Mo Yeon shot her friend an incredulous look.  “And risk the lives of all our patients?  Never!  No thank you.  I think it’d be better for me to stick it out.”

“Where are you going to sleep tonight?  In the call room?  How can you possibly be comfortable in one of those tiny beds?  Will you and your stomach even fit?”

“Let it go.” Mo Yeon sounded tired all of the sudden.  “Let me be.  It’s better for me to be at work where I can stay busy.  The distraction . . . it’s good for me.”

Doc Pyo reached for her friend’s hand.  “Still no word?”

Mo Yeon shook her head wordlessly and Doc Pyo patted her hand sympathetically.  “Drink up,” she told her.

    #####

Having children hadn’t been on their radars.

It’d been on their parents radars, naturally.  But not on theirs.  At least, not for now.  Mo Yeon was busy trying to make a name for herself at the hospital where she worked.  And her husband, Major Yoo Shi Jin, well, he was busy trying to save the world.  At least, that’s how she liked to put it.

But things didn’t always work out as planned, and about eight months earlier, they’d received the surprise of their life when Mo Yeon took a pregnancy test and it was returned positive.

The revelation had started ironically enough with dinner at her mother’s house, where they’d been pestered to death about having kids.

“Yeh, is there still no news?”

Mo Yeon and Shi Jin looked at each other.  The former rolled her eyes before turning back to her mother to answer.  “Nope, no news.

“Why not?  Is there something wrong?  Are you having problems?  Or is it Yoo-seobang?  Yoo-seobang, is everything okay?  You're not having any problems are you?”

Shi Jin started choking on the rice he’d just put in his mouth.

“Eomma!”  Mo Yeon handed her husband a napkin as she glared at her mother, but her mother was not to be deterred.  Plus, she had the innocent act down to a pat.  “You’ve been married for almost a year.  Isn’t it only natural to wonder?  Yoo seobang, have some more of this kimchi.  I made it special, just for you.  I know how much you like my kimchi.”

    “Thank you, Eommoni.”

Mo Yeon knew exactly what her mother was up to and wasn’t about to be sidetracked.  “There’s nothing wrong and there’s no need to ask such pointed questions.  We already told you, we’re not ready for kids right now.”

“Alright, alright, I heard you the first time.  There’s no need to yell.  Yoo-seobang, have some more of this beef.  I made it just for you.  You need to keep your strength up at a time like this.”

“Thank you, Eommoni.”  This time, it was his turn to be on the receiving end of Mo Yeon’s glare.  Later on, in the car, she turned to him and asked how he could have just sat there eating as if nothing was going on.

“What was I supposed to say?” Shi Jin asked.

“You could have agreed with me.”

“You were speaking for the both of us.  And it’s not like I can talk to your mother in the same way,” he pointed out.  “It’d be disrespectful.”

Mo Yeon crossed her arms and turned away huffily.  “Oh, whatever, I give up.  I don’t care.  Just don’t expect me to say anything the next time we have dinner with your father.”

“My father never asks us when we’re going to have kids.”

She hated when her husband was right.  “No, but I bet he’s thinking it.”

Shi Jin laughed good-naturedly.  “You’re probably right.”

A few seconds later, Mo Yeon shifted in her seat.

    “Is everything okay?”

She clamped a hand over her mouth.  “Yoo Shi Jin-ssi.”

Her husband looked over.  “What’s the matter?  Are you suddenly not feeling well?”

“I think I’m going to throw up.”

“What?  Right now?  Just hold on for a few minutes.  We’re almost home.  Think of Big Boss; you don’t want to ruin another car.”

If she’d been feeling better, Mo Yeon would’ve hit him for the last comment, but all she could do was nod her head in agreement and do as instructed.

The minute Shi Jin pulled the car in front of her house, now their house, she was unbuckled and running for the front door.  When she finally emerged from the bathroom, her husband had lit some candles, which he knew would help soothe her, and poured her a glass of water.  “How are you feeling?” he asked.

“It’s weird,” she said, rolling up the sleeves of the shirt she’d changed into and walking over to join him at the kitchen island.  “I feel better now that I’ve thrown up.”

He put a hand up to her forehead.  “Any signs of a fever?  Are you sure you’re not coming down with something?”

She shook her head.  “I feel fine.  In fact . . . I’m kind of hungry.”

Shi Jin stared at her.  “Come again?”

“I could really eat right now.  Would you order something for me?”

    “Yeobo.  We just had dinner.”

“I know, but I could really go for some dolbi right now.”

Though he could hardly believe her, he did what any good husband would do under the circumstances and ordered her a carry out order of dolsot bibimbap.  He then watched in amazement as she polished off the entire bowl.  “Feel better now?”

    “Much.”

The next night, it was a near repeat of the day before, except this time, she’d craved ramen.  Army style.  “I don’t have any night vision goggles on hand, but I’ll call up Kim Gi Bum Ha-sa and see if he can come over and cook the ramen for you.”

The third night, after he’d had to call up Kim Gi Bum Ha-sa again for a refresher on how to make samgyetang, Shi Jin put his foot down.  “Something’s not right.  You’re a doctor.  You have to realize this is not normal.  I think you’d better make an appointment and get checked out.”

Which is how they found out that instead of morning sickness, Mo Yeon was suffering from night sickness and pregnancy food cravings.

  4. @phikyl I think the second rejection was at the beach in the shipwreck when his asking if she is still sexy in the operating room... the third is when before he left from Urk the confession vs apologise! And that is why he's said to the guy that he saves from the ruins he's been dumped 3 times that's before he confess his feelings (stitching the wounds on his back) correct me if I'm mistaken x

I agree, that's what he might think but I disagree that was a rejection.  She did not say yes, but she did not say no.  He also told her to think about it, and was actually the one to walk away from her after she gave him first aid.  She also eventually did accept him after that, without fully rejecting him before hand.  I do see your point in that he again basically asked her to confess and she didn't say anything, so maybe technically she rejected him, but I don't think that's fair to say she did right then.  It also wasn't really the right time moment to focus on their romance considering what she just had to do.

Though then the next day he mentioned the three rejections, and that she's probably upset she didn't accept him and was worried about her.  So, while I can see his POV, I don't think it's fair to call that a rejection. I'll give him two rejections of course though. :P  It's like him saying she wrecked three cars, she didn't.  He can't count.  There's was only two and the third he was the one driving.

The heavy drizzle didn't stop. But at least it wasn't pouring. It has been raining almost every other day. Strange. At this time of the season. Not that he cared anyway. He didn't care for much ever since that day he was called to office and handed the white envelope and the tags.

Since then, life was just passing by and he went on each day numbly. For the past 3 months, he found himself here despite the fact that he kept telling himself to let go.

But seriously? What is there to look forward to? Yoo Young Geun swallowed the all familar lump in his throat, with misted eyes, he look up to the grey skies and wondered for probably the 100th time if the Gods are cruel and if this is some sort of punishment for whatever he has done in his past life.

The memories kept coming back. Like being on rewind and replay. Being a soldier, he always thought that if anything, he would have left them both behind first. But no. In some twisted fate, his beloved wife ended up 6 feet under, long before him. A simple trip back to her hometown alone turned into a tragedy forever etched in his mind. He remembered that 3.48pm phone call that gripped his heart as clearly as if it was yesterday.

He rushed over to the Emergency and was granted to hold her bloodied hands one last time as she whispered her final words and breathe her last.

To say he was devastated was wrong because there probably isn't a word in the dictionary to properly put to it how he feels. That black abyss. But back then, he had his son. Their son.

For his sake, Yoo Young Geun pulled himself together and like father and son, they braved through her death. Together.

Yoo Si Jin. Their son. God, how he wished he listened to his wife. He should have insisted that Si Jin took the path of a lawyer or a doctor or whatever it is that lessen his chances of being dead then being so stupidly proud when a passionate, 7 year old Si Jin declared, in the midst of a family dinner, that he is going to be like his appa he grows up.

Oh, how his wife frets. And worries. And drums into him every single day he is at home or every single phone call he made to get that stupid idea out of his son's head.

    Stop encouraging our son!

Then at 15, apparently and STILL , their son was very set on going the military path despite his poor omma's pleas to consider her heart.

Your son is going to be death of me. Isn't it enough that I gave my husband to the country and now my son?! Do something!

And at his graduation from West Point, he remembered his darling wife, looking so proud and trying her best not to teared up while he reign in the smugness in him and marvelled at how his wife caved in to their son's wishes at the end.

Yoo Si Jin is so like him and yet like his omma. He had her smile, eyes and every good physical features. He is a determined kid, smart and is always good at what he does. Perhaps a little too smart, with words. He hears much from his son's days in the military. Albeit a little too much too. Thanks to a certain general who eyes him as a son-in-law. Si Jin is a perfect son and he couldn't have ask for more. So when a certain news reached him that he was being detained for disobeying commands, Yoo Young Geun sputtered and nearly choke on his morning coffee.

His son? His son, Yoo Si Jin?! To say he was worried is a given. But he trust his son. And just like always, he waits. News travelled soon to his ears. So a woman was involved. Or so Sergeant Choi accidentally spilled, somewhat bitterly.

Ah. Not the first time. He and his wife always pride themselves that their son is rather good looking with brains and a good heart. If one could overlook that his job requires him to put his life on the line, he is quite the husband material. Or so his wife believes. He cheekily assures his wife that their future daughter-in-law must really be something to deserve their son in which his wife retorted that THEIR future daughter-in-law must be insane for being with their son knowing the responsibilities Si Jin carries and how she will always never know if he is going to come back alive. And according to her, he would be damn lucky if he manages to put a ring to her finger.

But you managed our marriage well. And I have no doubt whomever chooses to be with our son is quite a remarkable woman herself. Just like you.

His words to her put a full stop to the matter.

So, he waited patiently for his son to bring it up.Nope. Not a single word. Not even when they were fixing each other up for their photo-taking session for his retirement or during dinners or breakfasts or lunches.

She must be quite a woman. Because suddenly Si Jin wants to go fishing. Alone. The boy hates fishing. And since when he uses his vacation doing "useless stuff"? "Useless stuff", according to Si Jin, being running laps or working out when he could go on blind dates and try to get a girlfriend, get hitched so his appa can hold grandchildren.

Really? Sometimes Yoo Young Geun wish his son would tone down his playfulness.

It wasn't until one fine day, or morning, that he woke up to a drunk Si Jin on the couch. God, he is drinking now?! Somewhere in the midst of trying to wake him up and helping him to his room, his son slipped a few words. Among the mindless rumblings, a name slipped. Kang Mo Yeon. Repeatedly.

Ah, so this is the woman who put his son out of sorts and in such a state.

When Si Jin called back a week later, Yoo Young Geun thought there was a lift in his spirits. His heart leaped and he couldn't contain the happiness and excitement he felt as a father when his own son wants him to meet someone very special. A certain, very pretty-according to his son, doctor.

He never got to meet her.

Yoo Young Geun realized how his son will never experience this next part of life. Getting married to his doctor, waking up next to the love of his life, doing things a married couple do, having kids, being a father and husband and growing old. Too young. Too soon.

His eyes sting with tears and no matter how hard he tried to blink them back, they flowed. With the back of his hand, he rubbed them away almost instantly. So tired.

    No. Enough. Enough.

He has been standing here for what? A good 20 minutes? Just lost in time. Not that it is a first. He is rather used to it now. The drizzle has mellowed down. A mere soft pitter-patter.

He gripped the umbrella tighter and with the bunch of daffodils on his other hand, he set out with determination. Down and down the trodden path to the cold slab that held no body.

A lone figure stood there today. It seemed Si Jin has a visitor.

He continued on. A woman? Squinting his eyes, yes. A woman. He had never seen her before at the "funeral". As in, a woman not from the army.

Well, he could at least thank her for visiting. Quickening his steps a little, he was about to greet her when realization dawns on him. And he stops just a few steps behind her.

She held no umbrella. Her clothes were damp. Hair matted. God, how long did she stood under the heavy drizzle?

    "Excuse me, miss...."

And at that, she turned. Wide bright eyes, brimming with tears, lips parted and confusion on her face and probably slight irritation at whoever that snapped her out of her reverie?

At that moment, he knew in his heart who this woman is. Even in his old age, and even though he is STILL in love with his dearly departed wife, he couldn't help the first question that crossed his mind when she first turned and fully look at him.

How could anyone look so beautiful when crying?

He could understand now why his son is so smitten. He is sure she is a spirited and lively one. Determined and definitely courageous. His wife would put in insane. Those eyes held that, and the fact that she actually accepted their son.

He smiled. Perhaps for the first time in months. How could he have met her under such circumstances? Ah, she is still waiting for him to continue. He ventured ahead.

    "Dr. Kang Mo Yeon?"

I totally confess I've toyed with the idea of writing a story about pregnant KMY and expectant father YSJ.  I just love reading stories that involve babies!  *heart melts*

It . . .  probably doesn't help that I'm currently watching "Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors," where SJK plays the role of a second-year resident.  Every time he helps to deliver a baby I'm like, "But when are you going to help deliver your own baby, YSJ!!!"  LOL.

Author-nimS :wub:make it happened I can imagine how happy and naughty Major YSJ looks and how proud he is showing to his comrades the ultrasound film/picture of thier first baby.

ikr, he's so smitten by her. I also think it's love at first sight, and it just getting stronger by the time. I think SJ loves to be challenged, when she ignores him he feels like he needs to get her attention back. Maybe no one ever ignored him like she did, lol. And the thing I love about the drama is they don't drag things. They met, feel attracted to each other and be honest with their own feelings. No third party doing all their dirty tricks. They are so straightforward and honest, that's how adults romance should be.

And I know which scene you are referring to, this one right... and the bgm makes it even funnier, love this scene so much

I couldn't agree more to what you've just said... The smile after he said "why don't you go and find him" it's like from my pov ~she's the only girl (ignores my looks) who did that to me~ Well we all knows she's the Boss's of Big Boss :P

And he's so screwed... can't take his eyes off her    btw, did he glance at her lips here? lol

Yes he did... just like he said after the wine kiss scene! he think about kissing her 1000 times lol

@vu_hoa1983 Yes, I agree as well with what you said.   One reason that people should not feel sorry for MY is that she chose SJ and loves him for the person he is.  If he were not the person he is (and with the job he has) she wouldn't respect and love him as much as he does.   She even said so herself when he asked if she'd be better with him if he had a different job.  Same with him to her.   SJ being true to his values and wanting to keep the peace does not mean that he doesn't value MY as much as he values his job at all.  Their jobs are an extension of who they are, and they both bring each other peace and courage.  I also agree that he has complete faith in her, that is more than just boyfriend and girlfriend.  He knows she might worry, but that she'll understand in the end.  His use of the word comrade is true in every sense.

As for Red Velvet, we know who he's actually a fanboy of right? Who he'd actually have a poster on his wall of (and I wouldn't be surprised if he had one, the man has his ways to get stuff...).  We also know what his real favorite song is right? :P

I think (well I guess I believed in myself lol) he's telling the truth about he only cheered when the Colonel came... as you can see in the video he was swaying his hand to stop Sergeant Seo then when Colonel Fish-rock came he got the banner and started cheering.... as far as the stewardess too I think (also) that I was Sergeant Seo's fault again...

Finally, I found time to finish my third fic.  It's funny how you set out to write one story and end up writing something else entirely.  :P

As always, hope you all enjoy!

How Long Will I Love You

Summary: As part of his preparations for his next mission, Yoo Shi Jin sits down to write his first letter to Kang Mo Yeon.

Alpha Team, it’s a combined operation.  After putting on winter military gear, come to the 463 airport by 21:00 today.  It will be a three-month long mission.

Just like always, as soon as Captain Yoo Shi Jin and his men received the call, they began their preparations immediately.

    Now his bags were packed.

He’d made a phone call to his father.

And he’d stopped by the hospital to say good-bye.

All that remained, as he and his men reconvened in their barracks for one last time, was the final step in their preparations.  God willing, they would all return to this place in three months.  But, if not . . . .

Yoo Shi Jin glanced around the room.  The others were huddled over their pieces of paper with busy pens in hand.  Next to him, he imagined his best friend and second in command, Seo Dae Young, was writing his letter to Yoon Myung Joo, just like he always did.

This time, he also had a letter to write for a woman in his life.  It was unfamiliar territory and he didn’t know quite what to say.  Or how to say what he wanted and needed to say.

In the past, he’d only had his father to write to.  That letter was written already and laid next to him in a white envelope.  But this second letter was proving more difficult to write.  He’d never had to write a letter like this before.  How could he express everything that was in his heart in the space of one sheet?

He thought about their meeting earlier and how he’d had to tell her he was leaving to go to the department store again.  He was proud of how calmly and bravely she’d accepted his news that he was leaving for a long-term mission.  He was also touched by the way she’d tried to send him off with a smile on her face.  But even still.  Despite her best efforts.  She’d cried.

He hated that he’d made her cry.

He hated that he’d made her cry again.

He still remembered how he’d made her cry when he was brought to the hospital in an ambulance and she’d thought him dead.  He remembered the promise he’d made to her then; that he wouldn’t show up covered in blood again.

Even now, her pleas from the afternoon played on repeat in his head: to not get hurt and to not be late.

He remembered his promises as well.

    I won’t get hurt.

    I won’t die.

    I’ll be sure to return.

But when one was fighting a war, he knew that despite the sincerity of his promises.  Despite the fact that he’d meant every single one of his words.  Despite the fact that he fully intended to be back once the seasons changed.  Nothing was a guarantee.

As he’d once told her, a soldier’s uniform was his shroud.

He knew she knew it too.

Which was why he needed to write this one last letter, and tell her what was in his heart.  Reaching for his blank piece of paper, Yoo Shi Jin began to write.

Before we go on a mission, we write a will.

Ultimately, I hope that this letter will never be given to you.  But, if by rare chance you are reading this will right now, then I have not been able to keep my promise.

The promise for you to not be worried.

The promise not to be hurt.

    The promise not to die.

The promise that I would come back for sure . . . .

I haven’t kept any of those promises.  I’m sorry.

The recognition that he might actually fail in his mission, never return to her alive, or see her face again, it sat like a giant weight in his heart.

Sometimes, for her sake, he wished they’d never met.  Dating a man like him came with inherent risks and he regretted both bringing those worries into her life and being a source of those worries.  He thought about all the times he’d already had to apologize for making her worry.  He also thought about all the times they’d thanked each other for saving the other’s life.  The last time they’d had such a conversation, Kang Mo Yeon had wondered why they always had to be thankful to each other for such a thing.

Other couples were thankful for giving each other rides home, for celebrating their anniversaries, and other similar, mundane type of activities.  But theirs was a love story built around earthquakes, land mines, hostage situations, and cars hanging off of cliffs.  Would there ever be a time when they wouldn’t have to face life and death situations?

Yoo Shi Jin thought about what her life might be like without him.  She’d get up in the morning, go to work, treat her patients, spend time with her friends, and at the end of the day, go home to someone who’d have dinner waiting for her.  There would be no department store runs.  No concern that the next ambulance door she opened might contain the man she loved inside.

There would only be love, laughter, and beauty, because that was the type of woman she was.  Which was why, for his own sake, he couldn’t let her go.  It might have been selfish, and there were days when he hated himself for it, but he loved her.  And he needed her.

He hoped that no matter what happened, she would always know how happy and grateful he was to have met her.  And to have been a part of her life.

Yet, at the same time, he hoped and prayed that if things went wrong, she wouldn’t hurt for too long.  He hated the thought of her being in pain, and if he could, he would willingly bear all of her suffering for her.  It was, he thought, the least he could do for her considering all she’d done for him.

    He wanted her to know:

In the place where you are, it is always bright.

I met you.  And I loved you.  And for being apart from you, I’m really sorry for that.

I know it’s shameless.  But I would like for you not to cry for too long.  More than anyone else, you have to live well and brightly.  And . . . don’t remember me for too long.  I’m asking this favor of you.

As Yoo Shi Jin finished his letter and tucked it into its envelope, he hoped that whatever happened, Kang Mo Yeon would know how much he’d loved her.  And that he would be with her.  Always.

Author-nim @themarchioness I think I sent it this to your AsianFanFic account but I think you're more active in here (soompi)

soooo I love your stories it makes me wanna hold on dots even more... can I make request(?) if its possible only... but I would say it anyway... here it is!

can you make a story (fanfic) about:

    1. How Captain Yoo heard about the Hospital Chairman (the one he said on the car when they went for wifi)

    2. How did Captain Yoo ended up had a copy of Doctor Kangs confession

    3. What happened after the tent scene? They just sleep hand and hand (?) I wish you could do some Rated R ones lol

    4. After Captain Yoo got back from being caged how did he ended up going to Albania first before he even read his messages? (Or he read it first but the carrier haven't updated it? But it was not possible because it would appear on the inbox right?)

    5. And finally when they were in the dungeons can you make (fic) of it how or what are they thoughts about there, like they weren't worried of themselves but the Doctor's of their life that they think they were already died and the recovery of hospital scene when they were being treated after the NK soldier rescued them (they have gone for a year right? B it Sergeant Seo said they only been caged for 150 days... That's more like 3 months?)

Thank author-nim I can't wait for your next chapter xx

So I've been re-watching this past few days and I cam across episode 9...one of my favorite episode and I've been curios and I want some POV of you guys my DOTSer chingus... Here it is

~~ the scene where  KMY run away from Nurse Ha and Nurse Choi because Nurse Choi teases KMY that Captain Yoo is coming to them~~

so my question is... why is it Captain Yoo already in the window where Doctor Kang will go?

does he knows that she's coming towards there?

    or it's just a coincidence?

It's just my delulu or my over imagination but I think Yoo Si-jin knows that shes coming there.

Do you remember the scene where he was spying on him on his sniffer telescopic thingy? and I think Doctor Kang Mo-yoen's quarter was just across Captain Yoo Si-Jin's  based on the sniffer scene. And the scene after CPR scene at the kitchen he said there that he saw her everyday watching soldiers biceps.... so I think that morning because he's to excited maybe he was watching her again and when he saw her running towards his quarter he then again jumps from the second floor to the ground floor kekeke...

I hope my imagination helps xx

The reason Shi JIn ended up being punished for extracting the unexploded bomb was because, officially, he couldn't be punished for allowing KMY to operate on the Arab president (prince?).  The other country had asked them to pretend like the surgery had never happened, to once again sweep his health problems under the rug, so since there could be no record of the incident, there could be no record of punishment related to the incident.  So although he wasn't punished for the surgery, he was (in essence) punished for it.  The extraction of the unexploded bomb was just an excuse considering how they'd already allowed him to get away with that incident by just writing a report initially.

I think it's really hard to judge all the military players in this drama.  I think everyone, including YSJ, is just trying to deal with each tricky situation that they're presented with in the best way they know how.  We can't forget that oftentimes, there is a bigger picture at stake.  In the case of the Arab president, for example, the immediate problem was that without surgery, he would die.  The global problem was, if something went wrong with the surgery, a war between countries would break out.  Given that the Arab president's own security team had insisted that he not be operated on, to wait for their own doctor to do the procedure, it makes sense that there were those who thought that was the better way to proceed.  If the President ended up dying while waiting for the operation, it'd be on their hands.  Not South Korea's.

YSJ took a calculated risk in bucking orders and telling KMY to do the surgery.  He trusted her skills and he also knew without the surgery, there'd at least be a chance of the President surviving whereas with waiting, there'd be no chance at his survival at all.  Everything ended up working out, thank goodness, but it still can't be denied that at the end of the day, he went against orders.  That's why YSJ took his punishment as it was meted out, and that's what he was trying to explain to KMY when she was indignant on his behalf.

I'm not trying to say YSJ shouldn't have made the choice that he did.  As SDY told him, his every order that day was honorable.  As his own father told him, sometimes being punished is honorable.  Because of his decision that day, the President was saved.  So yes, YSJ is absolutely honorable and noble in everything he does and that's why we love him.  But my point is that doesn't necessarily make the other side any less honorable -- they have their reasons too.

That's why I love this drama so much.  Oftentimes, there are more than one ways to look at things.  And as someone else already pointed out, there are few "bad" people in this drama.  Lt. Rock Fish stood up for his men when warranted (like when dealing with that idiot Plant Manager), but at other times, he just wanted the men to do the basic necessities of their job so that everyone could go home in one piece.  Commander Yoon cared for his people, including SDY, and though he may have given orders as a father sometimes versus as a commanding officer, he later admitted those faults.  We are all human and we all have our weaknesses; his was his daughter.

    -----

@kokodus, I'm so glad you liked my story.  If my muse allows, the next story will be about KMY/YSJ's daughter.  :)  As for their parents, I don't think it'd be quite kosher in Korea either.  But I don't think it'd be against the law?  In any event, though I hinted at a loveline between them, I purposefully kept it vague in the story.  It's really up to the readers' imagination where they'd like to take it.  Maybe YSJ is needlessly worrying over their parents when they really are just friends.  Maybe they were just coming in together the next morning because they happened to arrive at the same time.  Or maybe they had been together, but it was completely innocent.  Or maybe they were spending time together because they're romantically interested.  I leave it up to you to determine how you'd like to imagine that scenarios.  It's similar to my other story -- who do you think called YSJ that night?  His son, to tell him his mother had given her permission, or KMY to tell him she'd given her permission?

@gilaswan, don't worry, I did add it to asianfanfics. I usually wait to put it on there after sharing it here because I tweak it a little bit more before sharing it on asianfanfics.  (And still I found a typo, grrr.)

@Yoona87, your Dumb & Dumber MV is hilarious.  Well done and hope we see more!

Doctor = 의사 (uisa). But it is used more like a profession, not quite used as a title.

선생 (songsaeng) = Teacher. But I do realise that it's being commonly used as a title not just for Teachers but also for "learned" professions. Doctor is one.

The younger Doctors & Nurses called KMY Kang (쌤) Ssaem. I'm not sure of the reason, but I suspect 쌤 is the short form for 선생님 (songsaengnim), which is a more honorific way of calling "Teacher".

Usage of jongdaemal is a default. Within the army, the highest honorifics is a must. But as a Captain, YSJ speaks banmal to his men (except to Sgt Seo). The same explains for Lt. Yoon since she is of lower rank than him. I don't recall YSJ using banmal w SDY. I suspect the reason is because SDY was his instructor in the past.

Banmal can only be used sparingly, with someone close to you. If used at the wrong time, situation, you can make the other person angry.

I'm not a Korean, so I hope my explanation is right. Lol

    Thanks for the info chingus!

So it means Captain Yoo and Doctor Kang using jodaenmal means they aren't that close yet (?)

  16. Chingus help!

Soooo I googled how doctor translated in Korean word and it says Uisa and I heard it that the hospital director call her Kang Uisa so it's accurate but as far as I remember from episode 1 Captain Yoo calls Doctor Kang (Kang SanSaeng?) and the other younger nurse calls her (Kang Saeng?) and I don't know why (and where) they need to used banmal or jondaenmal (does Captain Yoo and Sgt Seo use banmal?) (before I think I heard Cpt Yoo use the word  YAH to Leutenant Yoon) can somebody explain it to me thanks!

Totally DAEBAK ending to episode 15, relieved! resolved our suspension, our worries... if YSJ is alive or not?

'Pretty' turned around, couldn't believe her eyes if she's seeing the real YSJ... she's thinking to herself the whole time, this is impossible but he's alive, he's really alive... she starts running to him and tripped (must have her legs gone jelly), and he came running towards her, embraced her... that longing to be in each other's arms... that's so unbearable to be apart from each other esp. for that long... Ohhh that hug, that embrace just says it all "I've missed you!", "I don't want to be apart from you anymore", "I love you so much!"

My personal theories for the last episode!

They never specified what country alpha team went to for their mission, so maybe that's why YSJ ended up in the same country as KMY? (as in that's near where his mission was)

So, Daniel set up that tent at the airport, because he was detained from leaving the country (for a night), so he decided to set up and sleep there.
which makes me think, that MAYBE? that tent is used by kmy and ysj before going back to korea because they can't leave the airport as well/daniel left the tent behind?

a bit farfetched and probably not true but hey, ysj just came back from the 'dead' ahahhaha

I feel like SDY will be with YSJ, so KMY will find out later that he's alive.
and then probably be furious he made her go through that pain for a year ;~; (I MEAN. HE BETTER BE ALIVE. OTHERWISE...IMA HURT SOMEONE)

and just to clarify one more time, KMY is NOT in uruk, she went to albania(?), for volunteering. only YMJ and Ki bum are in uruk, as they are officially deployed there.

TIME TO GO WATCH IT ALL OVER AGAIN HEHEHEHHEE

or maybe that is why Dr Daniel called her to make her meet with big boss, maybe he's with him the whole time.

I don't agree that he loves the nation more.   He's more than proven that. He was ready to throw away everything to save her, but if she's understanding and proud of what he does...he's going to keep doing it.  It's part of who he is.  MY was not in danger this episode. She was worried, but she wasn't going to die and nothing bad was happening to her.  The situation are not the same.  He wouldn't really be SJ if he sat on his hands, but I do think he was insensitive and she is very understanding though.  And I really hope SJ slows down at the end.  Let other people take over.

I totally agree with you @melissala he already proved to us how he will throw away everything for her!

Dr.Kang: (quitting hospital job to open her own clinic) How about your salary? If I become unemployed and penniless can you feed/take care of me?

Capt.: (keeping phone far away) ... Hello... Losing signal... Can't hear you...

    Phone call 2:

    Dr.Kang: Help me!

Capt.: What happened? (Is she hanging on a cliff again??)

Dr.Kang: I can't get the loan. The bank doesn't give me money once I quit my job.

    Capt.: :| (Few...)

Capt.: Haven't you thought about getting loan money first THEN quitting your hospital job??

Dr.Kang: ... Why haven't you had your dispatched time extended? Why do you want to come back to Korea to see such a thoughtless woman??

    Soldiers and facial masks:

Sgt.Choi: A married man doesn't need to care about his face. Just turn off the light! (Omg lol)

Harry Potter: Then turn off the light and make a baby girl who will look like her mom. So bad if she's gonna look like her dad. Oops....

Sgt.Choi: (You wanna run 100 or 200 laps??)

And of course, Big Boss blackmailed Lt.Colonel Park for Lt.Yoon's tranfer. He seemed so pleased with himself afterwards LOL.
