post your pic of your favourite drama couples (max 3) that you still adore and how they are similar or not to TaecGui....

Drama:  Twilight (
2008)

Genre:  Fantasy/Romance

edward-and-bella_zps9b802bdf.gifcr: as tagged

TaecGui connection:  Before Do Min-Joon (Man from the Stars) there was Edward Cullen.  He's a vampire who hasn't aged since 1918. He doesn't sleep or suck blood, and he could stop a moving car with his bare hands.  He's always watching over Bella, protecting her.  In a way TY is like Edward (not the vampire part) :))   He connected with GuiGui the first time he saw her at the shoe cafe and over time, he grew to be more attuned to her thoughts and moods.  He watched/watches over her too. :x
GuiGui said so herself:

Drama:  Tom and Jerry (Jerry And The Lion
)

Genre:  Cartoon
TaecGui connection:  They're just like Tom and Jerry.  At the Everland zoo GuiGui said TY was just like Leo the lion, always surrounded by lots of girlfriends.  But since then, except for work, he hasn't had any unnecessary interactions with any females.  Good boy Taec, he's whipped and loving it. :))

I'm breaking the "maximum #" rule here, @lmangla, but I'm claiming @burger78's spot, too, because she doesn't want to delurk anyway...
I'm breaking my likes into categories:
Thai Lakorns:
Wanida because I like the girl’s spunky attitude and Jesadaporn’s name. How can I not sympathize with a man whose name has “porn” in it?  He would have been scarred for life had he been living here in the US. Connection to Taecgui? Guigui may not be as smarty-pants as the heroine in the drama, but I can see Guigui winning over the bad mother-in-law with her perkiness. Wanida is a simplistic Pollyanna-ish story but at least there wasn’t a lot of slapping-faces and hair-pulling like in other lakorns. wanida-song-thai-lakorn-2010-1.jpg
Close second: I also like Jesadaporn's other show, Kaew Tah Pee, because of the setting. He played an insufferable blind guy, but the female lead wasn’t too much of push-over for him.

Arranged Marriages:
1% of Anything, because I like how the girl has a no-nonsense approach whenever the guy was whining. Connection to Taecgui? You know how Taec went, “Guiiiiiguiiiii” in the cave, trying to weasel out of the lipstick punishment?  And Guigui didn't waver and told him that his way was boring?  The lead guy in this drama tried to charm his way out of trouble, too. He was a “man-child” which reminded me of what Guigui said of TY…that he’s a boy and a man at the same time.   Kang Dong Won is cute, though.  Something_About_1_Percent.jpg
Close second: I also liked Sweet 18, starring Lee Dong Gun and Han Ji Hye.  I like girls who know how to punch. But no…prosecutors don’t really karate-chop their way out of criminal investigations. lol.
Eugene:
I like Eugene so I watched her in Creating Destiny. This might be boring to others, but I like to see an independent, westernized Korean girl re-adapting herself to the Korean society. The guy was a male chauvinist but he had no choice but to change for her.creating-destiny.jpg Connection to Taecgui? Eugene and her male co-star married each other in real life. I hope Taecgui will, too. I could see TY changing his ways for GG. I like the scene where the guy was late for his engagement party, but the girl didn’t fuss. I can see GG being level-headed, too.  Close second: Save the Last Dance For Me. Some parts are too long. The male lead here and the Other Woman are the couple, Ji Sung and Lee Bo-Young.  The story could have been condensed, but I like the guy’s groveling scenes.
Japanese:
Rich Man, Poor Woman. Cinderella story involving a genius IT guy (but has a mental block with recalling names) and a poor girl with an eidetic memory (photographic memory).  Good character acting by the actor Oguri Shun. Connection to Taecgui? I like how the girl wormed her way into the eccentric guy’s life; she disarmed him. She wasn’t a ditz; in her own rights, she was a genius, but she was strangely naïve. The other thing I like about the heroine is that she was willing to walk away from the relationship.  I'm a firm believer that we women have the strength within us to walk away from a relationship. The female lead took this screenshot of them here --fina22.png
Close second: Tatta Hitotsu no Koi. Kamenashi Kazuya played the poor boy who falls in love with a rich girl. There’s a night market scene here that reminded me of TG’s caterpillar scene. The girl wanted this bubble toy and sulked when Kamenashi failed to win it for her. Sensing that it was important for her, he went back to try his hand again at the game. He came back with the toy and presented it to the girl. His other friends knew then that he was in love with the girl, because in normal circumstances, he wouldn’t go out of his way to please any girl’s demands. There weren’t many memorable scenes in the story but that one was solid gold. The bubble toy became their way of communicating to each other “across the sky” (she was living in a swanky high-rise apartment; he was in a boatyard.)

Taiwanese:
Down With Love. I couldn’t stand how the female lead, Ella, looked dumb here, but I liked how Jerry Yan, the male lead, took care of her problems without her knowing it. You know how sometimes we root for the 2nd male lead in the story because he was a far sweeter/more thoughtful guy than the actual hero in the story?  Well, Jerry Yan acted like that second lead sweetheart who won the girl at the end anyway. Down%20With%20Love_pic3.jpg
Connection to Taecgui? Taking care of problems behind the scenes is what I would expect of TY to do for our Guigui.  Close second: Fated to Love You. Because crying buckets once in a while helps me release toxins from my body.
Korean Rom-com:
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. I like most productions by the Hong Sisters; the plot here actually made sense.  There’s one scene that I’ll always remember -- the elevator and bubble scene. I thought the imagery of a mermaid floating up with the seafoam to disappear forever was perfect.9448838cf9ad00c48d395124c15d857a12861093
Connection to Taecgui? If Taecyeon doesn’t take care of her, she’s going to disappear, too. Plus, Minah really looks cute with the red cheeks like our Guigui. Close Runners-Up: My Princess and Master’s Sun.  Because of the leading male guys. Eye Candy! No connection really to TG.

10 Ways to Make a Long-Distance Relationship Work

#7. Remember special days.  Valentine’s Day, White Day, and birthdays are easy days to remember.  But with the personal calendar on cellphones, it won't take 5 minutes to get other special days organized.  There’s simply no excuse to forget anniversaries, “first times,” opening concerts, movie premieres, and press conferences.  These are dates a couple should make time for and acknowledge no matter how far they are from each other.
March 11. Get organized. "OKCat is a cat with a plan nyang"http://forums.soompi.com/discussion/comment/27115589/#Comment_27115589

Celebrate these special occasions by sending a surprise gift.10003228_636983949670722_1456581604_n.jp

But skype-ing for extra half hour or texting a love note in the middle of the day works quite as well as a gift.

Or be virtually present at the events of your loved ones.
