Hi salad, this is a romance movie & they'll play as husband & wife here. Oh...are they starting filming already? .....I heard that the movie will start filming this December.  Well, from a tough character in movie ‘The Battleship Island’ he will totally transform as the soft-hearted father who takes care of his son after his wife passed away in the movie. This is set to air next year, & I'm looking forward to the movie.

Hi myhaneul, thanks for sharing this.  They're really like brothers. They are well-known for their close relationship since debut. I remember So Ji Sub revealed in one of his interviews that he often stayed overnight at Song Seung Hyun’s house when he worked till late night and has no car to go back. He even borrowed Song Seung Hyun’s boxer as he has no extra. Hahaha - that’s how close they are. SJS is really nice to show support to Song Seung Hyun who is filming for his drama, Black. Song Seung Hyun thanks So Ji Sub by posted a selfie in front of the snack track written: “Thank You Sub!”. The snack track has a banner that stated: "Cheers for actor Song Seung Hyun, actor Lee Hyo Je and Black production team,” with Song Seung Hyun and child actor Lee Hyo Je pictures on it. NICE....

So, a movie and a drama on the go! Great! Saw Battleship Island, not the best translated though, some parts looked exaggerated and too much (just my opinion), Hwang Jung Min and the girl, brilliant, Ji Sub , made maximum from his role ( and handsome as always at least in the beginning where his hair is still present  , reminded me of Cha Mo Hyuk, melting) Song Joong Ki ...stiff, could have done better?

Hi Wanda...

If you're watching online, the subtitles have not been translated accurately. Some of the words were really funny and doesn't make much sense.  I have watched it 5x on the big screen and it was worth my time and money. :D

Can't wait for the release of the DVD version.

Happy Chuseok and Mid Autumn Festival to those who are celebrating. Hopefully our One and Only and everyone @ 51K enjoy this moment with their loved ones and good rest.:heart:

Extract from Wikipedia...

Chuseok (추석), literally "Autumn eve", once known as hangawi (한가위)  for "the great middle (of autumn)"), is a major harvest festival and a three-day holiday in North Korea and South Korea celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar on the full moon.[1] Like many other harvest festivals around the world, it is held around the autumn equinox, i.e. at the very end of summer or in early autumn.

As a celebration of the good harvest, Koreans visit their ancestral hometowns and share a feast of Korean traditional food such as songpyeon (송편) and rice wines such as sindoju and dongdongju.

My forever beloved drama.

Hi wanda, thanks for sharing the videos. I love this drama, too. This K-drama became a huge hit.  As the show aired, the ratings continued to rise to incredible viewing numbers. "I’m Sorry, I Love You" is one of the most romantic, heartbreaking, and unforgettable dramas I have ever seen. At times even difficult to watch the story unfolds. This is not a happily ever romance. Relationships here are incredibly written as well. You can’t stop watching – no matter how heart-wrenching and tragic the story becomes. So Ji-Sub has an incredible performance here. And it is really no surprise. You can feel every emotion Moo-Hyuk feels. So Ji-Sub’s uses his face, voice, and even his body to act and emote. If you don’t become a huge fan of So Ji-Sub after watching this drama, I would be surprised. So Ji Sup is definitely one of those elite actors who are able to reflect grief and misery in their eyes, and cry beautifully.  " I’m Sorry, I Love You" is not without a few bumps, however. There are a couple of episodes, somewhere at the middle that were especially frustrating to watch.  There was a scene there when So-Ji Sub speaks English. His accent is clearly not Australian. But we can easily forgive this. It is impossible to have a skill to switch from native Korean to English and then add an Australian accent! So, this is fine - hahaha! The characters have made bad choices and ultimately they have to pay the consequences for what they have done. My favourite scene is when they were at the bar and right before he kissed her.  It was so moving and so heartfelt.  That moment, I think I can watch it over and over and can never get tired of it.  Anyhow, I definitely found this drama beautiful and moving.

'The Battleship Island' wins award in Spain's Sitges Film Festival

South Korean historical action film "The Battleship Island" has won the best feature-length film in a competition category of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, the film's local distributor said Sunday.

The movie by director Ryoo Seung-wan earned the top honor in the Orbita section for introducing most notable films of the year and honoring a title chosen by the jury composed of audiences. In the category, the Korean movie competed against such films as Takeshi Kitano's "Outrage Coda" and Taylor Sheridan's "Winder River."

It is Ryoo's third award from the festival after "The Unjust" in 2011 and "Veteran" in 2015.

Mike Hostench, the festival's vice chairman, cited the movie's great combination of various genres -- epic, drama and action -- as the main reason for the award, CJ Entertainment said.

The Spanish annual event, taking place in Sitges, Catalonia, is one of the world's most well-known film festivals, specializing in fantasy and horror movies.

At this year's festival, the director's extended edition by 18 minutes was screened, with new scenes that better explain the relationships among characters in detail, the distributor said.

"The Battleship Island" tells desperate attempts by Korean forced laborers during World War II to escape coal mines on Japan's Hashima Island. Released July 26, the movie has sold over 6.5 million tickets in South Korea. (Yonhap)
