Lee Min Ho donates 50 million won for indigent children to have clean water

Actor Lee Min Ho and his fans have donated 50 million won (approximately $43,200) for the poor children to have clean drinking water.

On March 22, UNICEF Korea declared and mark a “World Water Day,” actor Lee Min Ho’s donation platform PROMIZ recently signed an agreement with UNICEF regarding their social contribution to help provide for those poor children with clean water.

The donation is intended to procure 6.25 million water purification tablets, wherein 520,000 children can have their dirty water divert into clean drinking water thereby can help prevent the waterborne diseases from spreading.

During the event of the signing of their agreement, Lee Min Ho said, “Sharing love with places that need help and raising awareness are both things that I can do, and also that I have to do.

PROMIZ and I will work hard alongside UNICEF to achieve the goal of helping more children drink clean water.”

PROMIZ is a donation platform with the combined forces of Lee Min Ho and his fans to help and contribute to charity projects. The name PROMIZ is a combination of “Promise” with the name of Lee Min Ho’s fan club, “Minoz.”

Lee Min Ho Gifts Fan with Special Wedding Gift

International heart throb Lee Min Ho has been learned to have given a very special wedding gift for a fan.  The news, which is spreading quickly online, states that a fan met Lee Min Ho at a fan meet last year where she asked the star as to which date she should get married, providing 3 date options.  Lee Min Ho had chosen the March 2016 date.

The fan proceeded to really follow his wishes, setting a date for March and sending a handwritten letter and invitation to his agency a week before.  On her wedding day, the fan-turned-bride carefully entered the venue and was met with a beautiful sight!  Lee Min Ho had personally sent a huge floral wreath to her ceremony!  Understandably, she was very surprised and touched by the gift.

Regarding this, his agency, Starhaus Entertainment, said that after checking up on this, they have confirmed that their actor had indeed sent the wreath.  Written on it was his thoughtful words, "Live well and happily."  

Lee Min Ho is a South Korean actor, singer and model. Lee Min ho first gained widespread fame with Boys Over Flowers as Gu Jun-pyo in 2009. The role won him several awards, including the Best New Actor award in the category of television at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. He starred in two future television shows: City Hunter (2011) — in which he was nominated for Most Popular Actor in the category of television at the 48th Baeksang Arts Awards as well as Outstanding Korean Actor at the 7th Seoul International Drama Awards — and The Heirs (2013), which garnered him another nomination for Most Popular Actor at the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards. The box office hit Gangnam Blues featured Lee in his first leading role in a film.

Lee Min-ho Donates W50 Million to Mark World Water Day

Actor Lee Min-ho donated W50 million to UNICEF through his donation platform Promiz to provide clean drinking water for children to mark World Water Day, the UNICEF Korean committee said on Tuesday (US$1=W1,160).

Promiz was launched in March 2014 by Lee and his fans to facilitate charitable works, and is actively engaged in various projects.

"I always believe that sharing love with those in need and promoting good causes is something that I can do and should do", Lee said. "I will do my best to share the goal of UNICEF to provide clean water to as many children as possible".
