Orange Color | Shinhwa

The ones who are having their pride hurt isn’t us,

It’s those guys isn’t it.?

Until now they didn’t have a symbolic color

In the end they picked a color that their seniors have been using for 10 years,

… Hmm well.

I’ve been monitoring the situation,

It seems like they themselves don’t know anything at all.

Like incidents caused by ignorant fanclub administrators because of street vendors

When will things improve, or will they continue using it without taking their pride into consideration..

But is there really a similar significance..

Just like not everyone who has a perm is Gu Joonpyo ㅋ

The orange color that you have carries a special significance too.

Let’s not keep throwing childish fits.

Whether in China, in Japan, or anyone from any country who knows Shinhwa knows that too, isn’t it.

The reason behind my change in opinion is..

When Louis Vuitton mania fans meet people who buy imitation goods,

They don’t catch hold of them and lecture them, do they.. ㅎㅎㅎ

And besides a color is just a color.

Someday we will be back to protect this color~ *ORANGE*

p.s. You absolutely cannot force an apology from that fanclub and then accept it.

From what I know that fanclub did not do it intentionally.

And… The towel cheer that started since 1TYM is really impressive, I’m envious too..

In reference to DW's post thanking bb's fanclub, Su/midnightgirl13 posted an entry with some bg info she found regarding the whole issue of VIP using Orange.

finally dug out some background about what prompted Dongwan to write that entry…

SHCJ wrote a post on the SHCJ site about how VIP started using orange lightsticks (sold by street vendors) on 2 occasions, first at a performance in 2007 and at the Big Bang concert tour in 2008, but as there weren’t many of these orange lightsticks around, SHCJ’ers decided to let the matter rest.

then at M Countdown on 26th Aug 2008, the number of orange lightsticks used by VIPs rose dramatically, so SHCJ left a post on the VIP site telling them not to use any non-official orange lightsticks anymore, and VIP replied to say that they will stop that from happening again.

at the Nongshim concert on 9th Nov 2008, the same thing happened again. once again SHCJ left a message and VIP said that they will stop it from happening anymore.

then at the MKMF awards on 15th Nov 2008, the same thing happened again, and this time round some VIPs commented that the lightsticks were golden yellow when turned on, and not orange, and asked SHCJ to drop the subject. this i have to quote from the SHCJ post:

This is a colour that has spent 10 years with Shinhwa and Shinhwa Changjo

We must be colorblind if we can’t differentiate a color that we’ve been using for 10 years.

less than 2 months later on 16 Jan 2009, VIPs were using orange lightsticks again. SHCJ said that they weren’t looking for an apology, all they wanted is for the matter to be resolved quickly. The post ended with:

10 years of memories, orange

Blissful memories, sad memories, happy memories…

A color that contains the memories from the 10 years we spent together

That color is orange

WE ARE SHINHWA

WE ARE SHINHWA CHANGJO

and why did Dongwan say thank you in his entry today then?

VIP replied to that long SHCJ post today, titled “A GIFT FROM VIP”

All we can do is to apologize to the respected Shinhwa Changjo members from the bottom of our hearts

We will work hard to become more mature VIPs

Thank you for your encouragement, you’re our role models

We truly feel what a sincere and rational fanclub is…! You really deserve respect!

after this, they posted a pic of a long series of posts from the VIP site, all with the message, “21 Jan, sincerely wishing Andy oppa a happy birthday. We will work toward becoming diligent VIPs.”

so there you go - that’s the story behind it. just a little history lesson… while i do think there aren’t many colors left for VIP to choose from now…

but ANYWAY it’s all good now. love and peace between all fandoms.

I'm happy it got resolved. I don't think it will happen again with Dongwan actually stepping up to address the issue. I love Big Bang to bits as well so it's really uncomfortable when things like this happen.

Regarding Person I love, i didn't manage to finish it coz it was going to be so sad that i refused to finish watching it. but dongwan's DDG(drop dead gorgeous) in it. It's worth it just to watch Dongwan in the show. His acting was so good!!!

Anyways, I can't wait for the release of the concert DVD coz my unnie told me that his concert was really good and that there's supposed to be some woodong LOVE haha
