Guest Bebe_Ji
omg .. looking at all these clothing makes me wanna go buy one from every country.. lol btw INDONESIAN and PHILIPPINE clothing don't even look like a typical asian tradition clothing.. they look too.. spectacular!! its like runway clothing instead =D i love the details and how's it made. but i dont see myself wearing one.. it seems like you have to be tall and pretty.. haha. but the one i like the most is thai. they're so elegant and it makes you look like a princess =D
Guest blue_shoe
I only like Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese. I dislike the rest! I like Vietnamese the best not because I'm a bias, but because it is simple, pure, and elegant.

Guest Ce'nedra
what i wanna know is how the heck do the chinese ancient drama series do the women's hair.... and i wonder what their hair looked like way back when they used to wear hanfus... and if it looks like what we see in dramas... Well for all those elaborate hairstyles, it was often for women of higher status (ie the wealthy and royal) or during celebrations (for the commoners -naturally, their hair decorations and such weren't as extravagant). Not sure how it was done but I was at a museum recently and there were ancient hair designs clips, etc much like the ones we see in films on display. I believe it belonged to some concubine. As for everday hair amongst the commoners and/or middle class, it was usually kept simple much like these one (low, loose hair tie): You'll notice that's what's often portrayed in ancient Chinese paintings. I'm certain there are other hairstyles I'm unaware of too. It has to be varied; there's many different traditional clothing that are lesser known as well, including folk dancing ones. Don't forget that within each dynasty/time period, clothes change and with that, so does the hair style.

Guest ichigo_no_powder
Yes, I have to agree arodomasian, lots of Hanfu you see today are cheeply made with those horrible fabrics (ie. light pink, light blue crappy cloth) But then the REAL ones that are lush and luxurious are simply AMAZING. I agree! Sometimes at the mall they have people promoting for an upcoming Chinese opera and the promoters wear hanfus. i seriously cringe in embarrasment because of how awful and cheap they look. Tami those pictures are gorgeous. i wish i owned one
