The press screening for the movie ‘My Palpitating Life’ was held at Wangshimni CGV in Seongdong District, Seoul. This movie tells a story of young parents who had children only when they were 17 years old and their son who is 17 years old but has a 80 year old body.
Kang Dong-won appears as ‘Han Dae-soo’ who is a 33 year old immature father who goes crazy for girl groups and attempts to steal his son’s game machine.
Kang Dong-won stated, “Many thoughts crossed my mind when I shot this movie. I was also very glad that I could play realistic role.”
Regarding his character, he said, “I have never been in the situation ‘Dae-soo’ has in the movie. So, I had to constantly picture myself being a father.”

He also added, “It was not easy to express my emotion as a father. Thinking of my youth, If I were ‘Dae-soo,’ I would have done the same as him.”
Kang Dong-won and Song Hye-kyo wear school uniform in this film. Regarding this fact, he said, “I was not that embarrassed by wearing it. I thought it looked good on both me and Song Hye-kyo. But, I thought it might be the last time I wore school uniform. In fact, I was glad to wear it. (He laughed.)”
Kang Dong-won also mentioned about the moment he was immersed in emotion. He said, “I became very emotionally immersed in the scene that ‘Dae-soo’ met his father(Kim, kap-soo). Even I couldn’t do a rehearsal of the scene because I became too emotional. I was very broken-hearted when I shot the scene ‘Dae-soo’ talked to his son in the hospital as well.”
‘My Palpitating Life’ will open on September 3.
