College student Natsu (Ep11)

 

He looks very handsome in this screen grab, but as a viewer of the drama, this scene is one of the most enraging and painful to watch.

 

There was no dialogue for him. His eyes, expressions, and body movements did the talking. He didn't have to say anything.

 

Back in Ep01, Natsu was waiting outside for Mizuki who was in the medical facility for her OB-GYNE appointment and pregnancy "termination". 
 

The scene in Ep11 was before Mizuki met her doctor in Ep01. How she dismissively and rudely spoke to Natsu might as well be the premise on how she will later wreak havoc in Natsu's life several times over.

 

By now it's understood that because of what she said and wanted, Natsu was outside, waiting for hours, until she's done with the procedure. She refused to let her accompany her, and when she changed her mind, it made it easer to hide it from him.

 

Then she starts lying to him about how she still had to pay even after "given pain", gaslighting him into believing the pregnancy was terminated. She'd also tell him many hurtful lies when she broke up with him.

 

Mizuki, who decided to conceal from Natsu that she would go ahead with the pregnancy and birth their child, would further wrong him by telling Umi about her father, yet not introduce their daughter to him even when she was dying. 

 

He had to find out himself in a very surreal way, then be blamed again and again that he wasn't there.

He looks just like he did in Silent 

Just finished ep 11-  I was surprised Mizuki was so blunt when she told Umi that she was dying.  There's no way to sugar coat it.  But one usually says, something like I'll always be here in your heart.  Isn't way too young to walk home alone?  Oh boy, Umi is asking tough questions.

Speaking of, the upcoming drama replacing UNH in its time slot would have Silent's Minato as ML. 😉

I felt bad for Natsu, who somehow found a way for Mizuki to be always there when he had that memorial necklace and pendant made for Umi.

In Japan and some other places it's common for the kids to walk home, even use their transpo system while quite young.

Sigh. It's really unfair for both Umi and Natsu. Why did Mizuki expect Umi that she'll want to live contentedly with someone she never saw before, even if she heard of him countless times, and why did Mizuki not inform Natsu herself if she expected him to step up as Umi's parent after she dies?

Oh, I may watch.  I've seen Minato in another drama, but it was before Silent.  Yayoi's drama (or is it a movie) is coming out soon, isn't it?
