STORY

Han Joon-O (Kim Young-Dae) is a top star in Korea. He seems like a perfect person with a tall, handsome appearance, but he is saddled with an inferiority complex. He belongs to Beginning Entertainment, which his older brother Han Min-O (On Joo-Wan) runs. One day, Han Joon-O takes part in a public advertisement with firefighter Kang Young-Hwa (Pyo Ye-Jin). During the filming of the advertisement, a car accident occurs. Kang Young-Hwa is able to save Han Joon-O in the accident. After that, Kang Young-Hwa begins to work as Han Joon-O’s body guard. Meanwhile, after the car crash and when Han Joon-O wakes up, his body is possessed by the vengeful spirit of Do Ha (Kim Young-Dae). Do-Ha was a nobleman in Silla and he was killed by his wife Han Ri-Ta (Pyo Ye-Jin), whom he loved deeply. (Asianwiki)

Kim Young Dae Finally Meets Pyo Ye Jin Who Is The Reincarnation Of A Past Lover In “Moon In The Day” Poster

The highly-anticipated webtoon-based drama “Moon in the Day” has dropped a new poster!

 

Based on a hit webtoon, “Moon in the Day” tells a chilling and heartbreaking love story that spans 1,500 years. Moving back and forth between the past and present, the drama will follow a man for whom time has stopped and a woman who “flows like a river.”

 

Kim Young Dae will take on the dual roles of Han Jun Oh, a well-known top star in Korea, and Do Ha, an elite noble of the Silla Dynasty. After experiencing a car crash, Han Jun Oh’s body is possessed by Do Ha’s soul who has a completely different personality from Jun Oh.

 

Pyo Ye Jin will also play the dual roles of Kang Young Hwa, a firefighter-turned-bodyguard, and Han Ri Ta, the sole survivor of a noble family from Daegaya (a city-state) in the Silla Dynasty. Kang Young Hwa’s life completely changes after saving top star Han Jun Oh from a car crash on the day they were filming a public service advertisement together.

 

The newly released poster captures Kang Young Hwa and Do Ha facing each other against the backdrop of a city in the modern time. Although Kang Young Hwa is dressed in modern clothing, her shadow appears to be wearing a hanbok (Korean traditional clothing), alluding to her identity as the reincarnation of Han Ri Ta. Meanwhile, Do Ha, who is wearing a traditional men’s gown, stares at her directly with his coat hem fluttering. The text that reads, “While I am stuck here, you are flowing ceaselessly,” expresses the situation of Do Ha who is tied up in the past while longing for a past lover who broke his heart.

As the scenes shift, Do Ha’s voiceover states, “It took a long time to stand in front of you like this,” while the faces of present-day Kang Young Hwa and Han Ri Ta overlap. The teaser takes an unexpected turn when Do Ha, now Han Jun Oh, vows revenge and declares, “This time, I will be the one to kill you first,” as he attempts to strangle Kang Young Hwa.

 

In the ensuing sequence, Kang Young Hwa assures Han Jun Oh, “I’m the one who came to save you,” as the trailer showcases a tender kiss between Do Ha and Han Ri Ta. Staying true to her words, the teaser concludes with Kang Young Hwa saving Han Jun Oh from an oncoming car, leaving him in a state of shock. In the background, the narration states, “You and I… It seems like our fates will remain at odds until the end.”

The newly released stills capture moments when Han Jun Oh (Kim Young Dae) and Han Min Oh (On Joo Wan) are together. Viewers can feel the strong brotherhood from the scenes where the two brothers intensely hug each other. The sorrowful facial expression of Han Jun Oh as he hugs Han Min Oh shows how much he is worried about his older brother.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Moon in the Day” starring Kim Young Dae and Pyo Ye Jin garnered an average nationwide viewership rating of 1.6 percent.

After premiering to an average nationwide rating of 1.581 percent the night before, “Moon in the Day” rose very slightly to a nationwide average of 1.625 percent on October 3.

“Moon In The Day” Shows Steady Rise In Viewership Ratings

ENA’s “ Moon in the Day ” is continuing to garner viewership at a steady pace!

According to Nielsen Korea, the November 8 broadcast of  Kim Young Dae  and  Pyo Ye Jin ’s “Moon in the Day” achieved an average nationwide viewership rating of 1.974 percent. This marks a steady increase since the drama’s  premiere  episode, which recorded an average nationwide rating of 1.581 percent, and the second episode, which scored 1.625 percent.
