JTBC’s upcoming drama “She’s Different Day and Night” (literal title) has unveiled new stills featuring Lee Jung Eun!

“She’s Different Day and Night” is a romantic comedy that follows a young job seeker, who suddenly finds herself trapped in the body of a 50-year-old woman, and a skilled prosecutor who becomes entangled with her all day. The drama is helmed by director Lee Hyeong Min of hit series such as “I’m Sorry, I Love You” and “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.”

Lee Jung Eun stars as Im Soon, the 50-year-old intern persona of Lee Mi Jin (Jeong Eun Ji), who commutes to work as an intern when the sun rises. Despite her mature appearance, Im Soon possesses a youthful mindset, allowing her to effortlessly excel in tasks that leave her peers struggling, earning her the title of the “all-rounder intern.”

The still image below captures Mi Jin, who wakes up as a 50-year-old Im Soon one morning. She touches her own face in disbelief, but she soon starts her second life as an intern who is older than the most of the other employees at work.

 

Im Soon puts on a confident smile as she wears her public official ID card, which she longed for eight years to obtain.

 

Lee Jung Eun remarked, “[The character] Mi Jin, a job seeker who prepared for the civil service exam for eight years, kept lingering in my mind the entire time I was reading the script for ‘She’s Different Day and Night.’ I decided to star in this drama thinking that I want to give Mi Jin a small gift.”

Spending eight years in pursuit of employment through various part-time gigs, civil service exams, and certifications, Lee Mi Jin suddenly faces the tragedy of aging 30 years overnight but seizes it as an opportunity to succeed in securing a job.

 

Jeong Eun Ji described her character, “[Mi Jin] struggled to find a job and lived within the safety net of her family for a long time. Perhaps she is like a child with the body of a grown-up. I wanted to portray the process of Mi Jin’s inner side growing and maturing as time passes by and as she clashes with people after she becomes employed.”

 

Jeong Eun Ji added, “Because she has lived intensely, [Mi Jin] cannot tolerate injustice, but she shows her soft side for the weak.” Viewers’ anticipation is high for Jeong Eun Ji’s portrayal of Mi Jin, who has versatile charms.

Miss Night and Day drops a new teaser.

Miss Night and Day follows the story of Lee Mi Jin (Jung Eun Ji), a young woman who mysteriously wakes up one day as an old lady. Mi Jin begins a new life as a senior intern at Seohan District Public Prosecutors' Office under the name Lim Soon (Lee Jung Eun) after overcoming the shock of her sudden transformation.

The second teaser opens with Lee Mi Jin, who transforms into a senior intern in her 50s during the day and a young job seeker in her 20s at night.  

Lee Mi Jin, as Lim Soon, diligently works hard each day as a senior intern under the strict supervision of prosecutor Gye Ji Woong (Choi Jin Hyuk), a perfectionist. She skillfully completes difficult missions despite having physically aged, showcasing her versatility. Even her boss expresses bewilderment, admitting, "I can't do that," as he observes her climbing a mountain. While Lim Soon rises as a legend in the intern world, young Lee Mi Jin still struggles to get a job.  

 

 

Furthermore, the mysterious case of serial disappearances that Lim Soon (Lee Mi Jin) and Gye Ji Woong are pursuing adds mystery to the comedy-filled fun. Lee Mi Jin's anxious gaze as she walks on a dark rice field and Gye Ji Woong fighting someone in the club portray Miss Night and Day as a multi-genre drama.

A playful new teaser has arrived for JTBC’s The Woman Who is Different by Day and Night, giving us a peek into the silly adventures of our heroine’s double life, as her ever-changing body switches between Lee Jung-eun (A Bloody Lucky Day) and Jung Eun-ji (Work Later Drink Now 2).

With the help of an amusing narrator, the teaser begins with the explanation that our leading lady is not at fault when it comes to her swapping bodies. We’re then introduced to her daytime-half, using the alias Im Soon (Lee Jung-eun). Curiously, the transformation also allows Soon a big boost in her abilities, making her super capable of any and all tasks.

 

 

Even without powers, though, her night-time half – and true form – Lee Mi-jin (Jung Eun-ji) is a badass in her own right and can clearly hold her own. She also gets some swoon moments with our prosecutor hero Choi Jin-hyuk (Numbers). But it’s fun to see the usually serious Kye Ji-woong (Choi Jin-hyuk) becoming increasingly flummoxed by our heroine under both faces.

In the final sequence, the narrator announces the upcoming premiere date before the teaser ends on an epilogue. Meeting with her friend, Mi-jin tries to ask nonchalantly, “If the makeup is done well, you can easily make someone appear around 30 years younger, right?” Kim Ah-young (Welcome to Samdal-ri) nods in understanding, but truthfully replies, “That, yes, well… You can make it happen by being born again.”

Written by Park Ji-ha (Good Casting) with PD Lee Hyung-min (Showtime Begins, Strong Woman Do Bong-soon) at the helm, JTBC’s The Woman Who is Different by Day and Night is slated to premiere on June 15, following The Atypical Family in the weekend slot.

Miss Night and Day follows the story of Lee Mi Jin (Jung Eun Ji), a young woman who mysteriously wakes up one day as an old lady. Mi Jin begins a new life as a senior intern at Seohan District Public Prosecutors' Office under the name Lim Soon (Lee Jung Eun) after overcoming the shock of her sudden transformation.  

In the K-drama, Choi Jin Hyuk plays the role of Gye Ji Woong, a prosecutor at the Seo Han District Office who has high qualifications, excellent education, good looks, and a stubborn personality. Gye Ji Woong is a logical man who values reason over emotion and believes in nothing but concrete evidence. He is also a perfectionist who does not tolerate a single mistake and a workaholic maniac who works 24/7, 365 days a year, boasting an unparalleled success rate at the Seo Han District Office. 

Gye Ji Woong's only flaw is his poor social skills. He does not care even if his colleagues are exhausted, as a result, the staff under Gye Ji Woong's supervision can't endure for more than three months and announce their resignation one after another.  

 

 

 

The stills give a glimpse of the daily life of the workaholic Gye Ji Woong. Whether the sun or the moon is up, he is glued to his office, digging through documents. When the information at hand doesn't satisfy him, he even goes to the scene to find evidence.
