Jin Goo Shares Excitement For Transformation He’s Undergoing For New Drama “Legal High”

JTBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Legal High” will be a Korean remake of a 2012 Fuji TV Japanese drama of the same name. It will tell the story of an arrogant lawyer named Go Tae Rim (Jin Goo), who has a 100 percent success rates and wants to keep it that way, and rookie lawyer Seo Jae In (Seo Eun Soo), who believes in justice.

Jin Goo shared that he’s been a fan of the original Japanese drama and stated, “I thought the character of Go Tae Rim was so charming. He’s a character who has brought me the challenge of doing something I’ve never done before as an actor.” He has embodied his character to the fullest, with a stylish professional look. However, he’s paired it with a unique hairstyle that doesn’t seem to fit his outfits and Jin Goo explained, “It’s a ‘hook’ hairstyle that Go Tae Rim believes will bring him money and success. I think it will add more humor to his scenes.

Jin Gu and Seo Eun-soo face off in teaser for Legal High

Upcoming JTBC drama Legal High has released a new teaser featuring its leads, Jin Gu (Untouchable)and Seo Eun-soo (Hundred Million Stars From the Sky), as well as additional stills of Jin Gu’s character.

The drama is a remake of a popular Japanese drama, also called Legal High, which aired in 2012-2013. The story is a comedy set in the legal sphere and centers around a lawyer who uses even the most outlandish methods in order to win his cases.

In JTBC’s Legal High, Jin Gu will be playing the lead role of Ko Tae-rim. A “monster” and “weirdo” lawyer who knows his way around the law and boasts a 100% case success rate.

Jin Gu stated that he “was already a fan of the original show” and “found the character of Ko Tae-rim to be appealing.” As an actor, he was also attracted to the challenge of taking on such a distinctive role.

The actor explained as well that a lot of thought was put into the character’s appearance which can be seen in the released stills. Ko Tae-rim is dressed in fine suits and there’s detailed attention to the accessories worn. Yet, his hair is oddly shaped like a hook. Combining this with his face expressions and body language, the stills hint at the quirks and comedy his character will bring to the story.

Watch: Jin Goo Wanders Between Two Identities In Second “Legal High” Teaser

“Legal High” is back with another comical teaser!

The drama will tell the story of arrogant lawyer Go Tae Rim (played by Jin Goo), who has a 100 percent success rate, and rookie lawyer Seo Jae In (played by Seo Eun Soo), who believes in justice. It is a remake of the 2012 Fuji TV Japanese drama of the same name.

The teaser opens up with Jin Goo struggling to lift a huge book with a picture of a scale on it. When he manages to hold it up with a finger, he puts on an arrogant smirk and raises an eyebrow in pride. The word “Monster?” appears next to him, but a moment later, the word “Pervert?” takes its place.

Jin Goo wanders back and forth between the two labels until finally, it is concluded that he is both!

With a cocky expression, Jin Goo is holding the code of laws in one hand and a bundle of cash in the other. "I once learned how to win by having Taerim as a teacher, but now I am in a rival relationship," said Yoon, who introduced his character. On January 25, BNT International released photos from Cha Jung An’s pictorial along with an interview.

The actress will star in the upcoming JTBC drama “Legal High,” which is the follow-up to “SKY Castle.” “Legal High” is about an arrogant lawyer named Go Tae Rim (played by Jin Goo) who has a 100 percent success rate, and rookie lawyer Seo Jae In (played by Seo Eun Soo) who believes in justice. It’s a remake of the 2012 Fuji TV Japanese drama of the same name.

Speaking about her drama, Chae Jung An began, “It’s a drama that can show fun, refreshing aspects. The staff on set is trying their best to create that kind of drama and the atmosphere is good. Through this drama, I think that I might be able to change my current cold image. I’ll be able to show you various charms through this unique lawyer character.”

The actress expressed envy regarding “SKY Castle” where a variety of female characters appear in the drama. “I’m watching ‘SKY Castle’ while working hard to film ‘Legal High,’ and I was envious that it was a drama where actresses were key players from the start,” she said. “I even thought about which character I could’ve portrayed. The actors were so good at acting that I thought it was a relief that I remained as a viewer. As you may know, it’s rare for actresses to be the key players in a drama or film. I also want to participate in a project where actresses play key roles like in ‘SKY Castle.'”

New promos for Legal High featuring Jin Gu as a weirdo lawyer and Seo Eun-soo as a fighter for justice

New stills and a teaser have been released for JTBC’s upcoming comedy drama, Legal High starring Jin Gu, Seo Eun-soo and Lee Soon-jae.

The story is about “monster” and “weirdo” lawyer Ko Tae-rim who’s known for having a 100% success rate on all his cases. However, his think-outside-the-box tactics bring him into conflict with rookie lawyer Seo Jae-in who stands firm in following the rules to a tee.

The new stills feature Jin Gu (Untouchable), who plays the lead role of Ko Tae-rim, alongside veteran actor Lee Soon-jae (Live). As pictured below, the pair will have an odd couple relationship which is particularly evident in the bottom stills. Jin Gu is seen jogging in a peculiar outfit and Lee Soon-jae coaches him while riding a motorbike next to him.

In the drama, Lee Soon-jae will be playing Gu Se-joong. His character works with Ko Tae-rim as his law firm’s office manager. However, Gu’s position is a bit atypical as his responsibilities include landscaping, cooking, facilities/property management, medical health, housekeeping and more – in addition to his actual office duties.

“Legal High” has released a new highlight video showing a preview of the upcoming drama!

JTBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Legal High” is about two extremely different lawyers: an arrogant, successful, and money-focused lawyer Go Tae Rim (played by Jin Goo) and a passionate, just, and driven lawyer Seo Jae In (played by Seo Eun Soo).

The video begins by showing off the two characters’ drastically different personalities. Go Tae Rim, who is known to have a 100 percent success rate, comments that the court is nothing but a place where people, who all believe that they are the just one, fight over who’s right. Believing that justice can be bought with money, he says, “Just bring me money, and I will make you not guilty!”

However, Seo Jae In is shown to believe otherwise, saying, “Isn’t the world of law dead if justice doesn’t prevail?” However, as a rookie lawyer, her results aren’t as great as her passion for justice. After losing the case she was in charge of involving the “part timer murder incident,” she goes to Go Tae Rim for help with the appeal case. However, Go Tae Rim only agrees to take on the case for a fee of five billion won (approximately $4.5 million).

Eventually, after pleading for help, she decides to offer Go Tae Rim payment in the form of a repayment contract consisting of 18 years of her lawyer life. Administrator and Go Tae Rim’s butler Goo Sae Joong (played by Lee Soon Jae), who has an impressive background with diverse experience from all over the world, convinces Go Tae Rim to take on Seo Jae In by saying, “It has to be lawyer Seo Jae In.” The two continue to quarrel throughout the video, with Seo Jae In even cursing at Go Tae Rim by saying, “You are evil, a money leech, and the devil’s agent.”

“Legal High” Unveils Unexpected Sides Of Jin Goo And Seo Eun Soo In New Preview Stills

JTBC has released new preview stills for its upcoming drama “Legal High”!

The images show a side of Go Tae Rim (played by Jin Goo) that has not been shown until now. He looks like a serious and professional lawyer, unlike the eccentric man with over-the-top actions that had been revealed through previous teasers.

Seo Jae In (played by Seo Eun Soo) also looks different from her usual self, as she is clad in comfortable workout attire and wearing boxing gloves in her hands. Previously, Seo Eun Soo explained, “Jae In has a quality to her that doesn’t exist in the original drama. In order to strengthen herself, she uses various methods like boxing.”

Ahead of the drama’s first broadcast, the producing staff shared, “The story of Go Tae Rim, a monstrously skilled lawyer with a winning rate of 100 percent, and Seo Jae In, a rookie lawyer with an extremely high sense of justice, will be unveiled on February 8 at 11 p.m. KST.
