Review:
Scary!! The movie is about a girl who is able to communicate to a girl who used to live in the same house using an old wireless phone. Just when she thought she saved her from being killed by her stepmom, turns out she unleashed a monster.

 

I was loving the movie until that gas explosion scene and the story went downhill very very fast.

 

I’d blame this with the main protagonist who I thought was dumb. Everything that happened to her happened because she made too many stupid decisions.

And the while parallel universe logic was too simple and unbelievable. Everything changes in the future but its only physical. She never gets the memories from the past and that knowledge to help her win against the girl.

 

And that final twist at the end was too much. I almost didn’t see it because I thought the movie was over and wasn’t paying attention. I’d say they should have scrapped it.

The Asian Film Awards Academy announced the nominations for the 15th Asian Film Awards on September 9th.

 

The Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) is an organization established in 2013 by the Hong Kong International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Tokyo International Film Festival to develop Asian films. AFAA holds the Asian Film Awards every year to commemorate and celebrate filmmakers and their works who have built the Asian film industry.

A total of 36 films produced in 8 regions in Asia were finally selected for the 15th Asia Film Awards nominations. For Korean films, seven films were selected, including 'Save us from evil', 'Three Sisters', 'Silent', 'Seungriho', 'Jasaneobo', 'The Call', and 'People who live alone'.

 

JeonJongSeo is nominated for Best Actress at The Asian Film Awards Academy for the 15th Asian Film Awards.

 

 

The 15th Asia Film Awards ceremony will be held once again with the Busan International Film Festival following 2020. It is scheduled to be held in a hybrid format with online and face-to-face participation in Busan on October 8th.

The 6th Chungmuro Film Festival & Directors Week (The CMR-DIRECTORS WEEK), co-hosted by DGK (Korean Film Directors' Guild) and Jung-gu Cultural Foundation, and sponsored by Seoul Metropolitan City, Seoul Jung-gu, and CJ Cultural Foundation ‘Seungriho’ (directed by Seong-hee Cho, produced by the film company Silk Road) and ‘Call’ (directed by Choong-hyun Lee, produced by Yongfilm), which were released as Netflix films, ‘Power of Dog’ (directed by Jane Campion) and ‘Hand of God’ (Directed by Paolo Sorrentino) is specially screened.

In particular, it is the first project that can implement 'Victory', which was produced with Dolby Atmos for theaters as the director intended, and is scheduled to be screened at the Megabox COEX Dolby Cinema. Dolby Cinema is a next-generation premium cinema that applies Dolby Vision (HDR), a video technology of Dolby, and Dolby Atmos (ATMOS), a sound technology, and provides a perfect environment for audiences to immerse themselves in a movie based on a customized design. The Chungmuro Film Festival announced that it had decided to screen the movie at Dolby Cinema to effectively convey the director's intention to realize excellent graphic effects and immersive sound to the audience.

The 30th Annual Buil Film Awards was held earlier today, here is the full list of the winners!

 

 

The 30th Annual Buil Film Awards are hosted by the newspaper Busan Ilbo, it takes place during the Busan International Film Festival which has kicked off on October 6.

The Call (2019)

 

 

This time-bending psychological thriller switches between characters living in 2019 and 1999. While visiting her sick mother, Kim Seo-Yeon (Park Shin-Hye) answers a call from a woman named Oh Young-Sook (Jeon Jong-Seo), who lived in the house 20 years earlier. Through the cordless phones, the women give each other information to improve their lives. But everything changes when they discover a the killer taking advantage of the time warp to kill without being detected by police.
