^ I think these "J-Girls" are all young gravure models that are signed with magazines while "japanese models" are older more sophisticated models with established careers and most probably do more cat-walks and cms rather then being signed to one mag.

i'm totally agree with you on this. i was so disappointed when i found out most of my favorite Japanese models are gravue models or even AV model... i mean c'mon that's not the only career in Japan =(
