c.) Joon Gi explicitly stating his physical attraction to Ji Eun in the midst of his drunken stupor (lol)

d.) Quiet for like a week after the SBS Awards

e.) Both of them attending each other's concert/FM in Taiwan and being all giddy.

f.) supposedly a week after IU's Taiwan concert, JKH and her have officially broken up.

g.) During that week, we were only talking about the Korean article @starcandy0516 found. 

h.) A week after, the break up announcement was made... Well, not in a formal announcement format but just sort of like... A simple revelation by JKH's agency. Idk about you but this doesn't seem like something that was just brought out a week ago.

i.) from the news, it says that IU and JKH have been trying and failing to resurrect their relationship; often being on and off. I can only assume that during her concerts starting December, they had minimal contact.

 

Well ya know we're all just delulu here hahahaha but these are what I observed. 

 

@Silvermaine  All true. If you add in all the other stuff we've compiled as well, there's nothing delulu about the big picture. But hey, if people outside of our thread believe that our theories are the cause of the dating rumors that surfaced, let them believe what they want. As long as Joongi and IU/Jieunie are doing fine, that's all that really matters.

I love you guys. I was so very glad to see that within the confines of our thread, the vibe here is still harmonious, optimistic and upbeat.

@starcandy0516 I was surprised that the NetizenBuzz comments weren't really as bad as expected. I've seen so much worse on all the articles related to our IU. Am hoping this feedback is pretty consistent in all the SK platforms you've been checking. Have been waiting patiently for IU to visit her fan cafe and talk to all of us about what's been going on, much like she did after her dating news first broke out in 2015. It seems like she needs a little more time right now though. Hope she's doing okay. I know she has a tendency to blame herself. Hoping our Joongi is telling her he'll be just fine.

If there is nothing between the two, rumors would be gone. I'm not the one to judge that, but reading the comments on YT, JG IG / JE IG and of other sites, I've noticed that a lot of new fans, especially ML fans, ship them as a couple, in other words as an “all package”. After  NAMOO announcement these fans, being disappointed, can be lost for good, but for antis this announcement it's like fuel on fire. I affirm this on the basis of new comments I've read today. I make these observations because IF...IF there will be something more between JG and JE it will be much harder in the future for them to admit it in public, because they shippers who will support them will be much less and the antis will always be there even over an year or two or three.

i kinda agree and not with your post... but hear me out...

the statement is being made solely because the rumor is out of control at the same time with break up news.. the break up news is just like an oil added into fuel that already been there since people start noticing how close JG and Jieun are lately... its have to be done because even if they indeed have something going on its just not the right time at all... its not just a fan base rumor but its all over Kmedia yesterday... its a mess because JG and Jieun did do thing that make people suspicious of them... also notice that JG agency did admit that they are close so i guess they can't denied that one.. LOL

the Taiwan FM and concert thing??? both of them knew doing that will make shipper goes wild and its fuel an attention toward their friendship.. they knew it BUT they still do that so you know where i'm going with this right??

I think the official confirmation given by Namoo Actor is to protect the actor from the breakup news. Before the news growing bigger that the actor is the cause of the breakup, the agency needs to make this statement. They do not want the big name of their actor is damaged.
It is fine that the agency made the statement, but the agency can't set the heart of their actor. 

I wonder, if she never had a previous relationship with someone -  with anyone - , whether the agency would quickly give official statement. I do not think so
The story would be different if she was single. Each agency will give support to the actor and the actress, considering she is a famous singer and he is a famous actor, and the couple is a good combination, like the famous actors couple newly married.

And then why the two agencies want to bother to match each other concerts schedule of their actors in the same country, and involving the couple on each concert.

So the reason of the agency that inviting each other to the concert was to please the fans is just an unreasonable excuse. The Agency should realize  when two people - woman and man - often meet in a very romantic atmosphere will grow interest in one another. And it's natural.

If it is true that their relationship just a friendship, they - especially the actor - actually have successfully played their roles well as desired the agency. i think i read the translation a few page back that highlight the part where the NAMOO actually state that the rumor is not something that they feel to address but because people keep targeting JG IG and it became a news yesterday cause up until the break up news many people already saying that to JG but this time i guess more severe cause Jieun is officially single..

for me its just like a warning to cool down because its getting out of control... but i agree with IF ever they going public this statement will be a problem later on... i think we will have to wait and see also support JG and Jieun decision...

Much appreciation for all the encouraging words from all of you guys. I can't deny that I was happy when the breakup news came out but felt a certain guilt for our JE as to what she's feeling these days. I sent her my message of support through her IG as her well-being is still of much importance than my happiness for the breakup. Some relationships work, some don't. That's a reality. Being public figures put more strain as too much attention is given to them. 

I was worried about the people who started being pushy on their IG accounts for them to date. Then Namoo made an official statement. I even read a comment on LJG's IG that breakup announcements are for promotions (insinuating that this might all be a promotion). I so wanted to comment back and answer that person but I wanted to be the better shipper. And some of those who were pushy suspiciously have poser accounts, maybe haters, maybe hardcore shippers, I don't know but it weighed me down as I worried for our OTP. There was even one who commented for LJG to stay away from IU. 

If only all fans and shippers are as mature as the shippers here who keep analyses, chants, and delulu statements within the boundaries of this thread, then rumors wouldn't have started. 

Friends or more than that, I consider our OTP a good influence to each other. I'd like them to be in each other's lives. Although my heart will hope for being more but it's not for me to decide. I remember how close Lee Hyun Woo and IU were but because of the dating rumor back in 2013 as pictures of them were taken in an alleged movie date, they had to take a step back. They did reunite for a photoshoot in 2015 but they said in the same interview, they haven't seen each other since those pictures came out.I also recall Lee Hyun Woo stating that he was bashed by JE's male fans. With fear that our OTP's relationship will be like that, I felt gloomy. 

I have more pages to catch up with but I want to say thanks to all of you. Let's stay supportive and be happy in this bubble.  Sorry for the long post. I am not even affected by the statement of Namoo actors becaz it was a much needed one to protect JoonU's image..but i am scared about the after effects of it..like we might not even know whether there were any gathering of MLSHR esp of JoonU,  insta flirting, crumbs..oh god! I have never shipped two people as much as i ship JoonU... 

Hence i leave everything to destiny from now,  let destiny play its game and i believe in Ji mong's words "There is no such thing as coincidence".. 

Let us look at the positive side of Namoo's statement..

1. Namoo and Leon can finally understand that JoonU are loved by many people becaz of their explosive chemistry. So if(When) they start daying in the near future, people will accept them.

2. So JoonU might avoid contact for a while, actually its a good thing-To take time and analyze eachothers true feelings.

3. Why do i feel that this act will only make their bond more stronger?. Because we already know that JG and JE are strong individuals, they don't let anti's take over their life.They don't look like people who might stop contacting eachother becaz of a petty rumour.

 They already did soooo much for us.So lets don't disturb them from now on. Because "If something is meant to be, IT WILL " no one can stop that..

To all those people who are posting as "Please date JE/JG",  please understand one thing, these kind of posts will only deteriorate their image in public eye..

Let me rant a bit to relieve my tension hehe...

Whoah these Korean netters' hatred for JE is unbelievable. Now I can see what our fellow Uaenas here meant previously when they mentioned that she basically 'ate hatred for breakfast'. It's really ironic to think that our point of views and their point of views about JoonU are totally the opposite. When we think that JoonU is a power couple *they are!*, these people simply undermined JE with their 'actor >>>>>> idol' mindset. Seriously, she deserves JG and vice versa. Pfft. When JE dated JKH, they called him too 'ugly' for her and JG should have been a better choice. Does publicly disavowing dating and later admitting to dating cause all sorts of netizen backlash that celebrities would typically seek to avoid?

Or is a period between denial and admission considered publicly acceptable?

LOL! In term of acting world, yeah maybe JE isn't up to JG's level (yet), since he is more experienced & her sunbae after all. But in term of popularity, personality & talents, I'm confidence to say JE didn't lack anything (especially in music field, she has already regareded as a sunbae, even in that young age). To answer your question although not directly related to JoonU - see spoiler

the only celebrities on my mind recently are Lee hong gi (FT island vocalist) and Han bo reum.  They also said they are close friends back in August 2016 when their dating rumours surfaced and eventually after 3 months confirmed their relationship and both are also co-stars and meet each other in a TV series.  As far as I know, they haven't suffered any backlash at all.  

If we are talking about our OTP, who are both famous on their own right and with Jieun having haters, realistically, there will be some backlash. It will be undeniable irregardless of any period. However, depending on the timing when did the news was published, if there is a bigger news after, then it will be overshadowed by it. Or like any other news, it will eventually die down on its own.  That why they say, scandals is all about timing.  But for me personally, I wouldn't dwell on it, why? Because if ever destiny do bring our OTP together and they, (if ever) will be outed, I think their fandom are big enough to depend them and the agencies can sue any unsavory comments. Also Jieun is a ninja, it took 2 yrs after her previous relationship became public and JG is I think a very private person who I believe would want his relationship private so I doubt if we will going to see anything at all..lol.  Unless they get married..haha.  But I am ok with it as long as destiny bring them together or that they are happy.  Besides, if both released good projects that will be loved by everyone before any dating news, I think those achievements will overshadow any negative comments that will happen after.  Afterall - haters have selective amnesia sometimes.

I kind of remembered that the most beloved power couple who just got married recently - Rain and Kim Tae Hee suffered so many hate comments when their relationship was outed.  Because it was the time when Rain was in army service and their relationship has been tainted by his army scandals.  Also Knetz leave bad comments that Rain is not good enough for Tae Hee and right now, I am seeing similarities between them and our OTP.  Rain like Jieun is a singer songwriter with many scandals under their name while KTH and JG are both actors with exemplary image and mind you, both catholics. But look at them right now, after 3 yrs, they managed to turn those negative images by being loving and faithful with each other and now, knetz lauded them as the newest beloved couple in SK.  So yeah, news died down and haters do have amnesia..lol.
