The first Monday of 2017.. 

I am really glad that I found this thread. Like some of you in this thread, I have never shipped any K-Drama couple before. This is my first time of shipping, and I love every moment of it. BoYoo has made me download V-app and watch awards ceremonies without English subtitles (No problem, though, since love is a universal language! We can see that, BoYoo!). I really hope that this thread will stay active with any related BoYoo moment in 2017 onwards.

Before I go back to my work, this is what my delulu mind thinks of the KBS Drama Awards. I think that BG had met YJ before the KDA. Was this the reason for him to show up happily on the event? I don't know. Since BG is such a warm-hearted person, I believe that he will be that happy too if he meets his other close friends. So, why do I think that he had met YJ before the KDA?

First, the way he spoke about YJ reminded me of a spokeperson of a company. He was very confident when he said that YJ was still sick and she was regretful for not being able to attend the ceremony. He was well-prepared with his answer. BG is a very transparant person (as we have seen that for so many times!). If he did not know for real YJ's condition, he would not tell the crowd about YJ confidently. Second, when YJ won the award, Eunuch Jang came to the stage without hesitation. There was no "a moment of confusion" of who should take the award for YJ (or, maybe that moment was being edited? Hey, but I watched it live! No time for editing). Watch again, when Eunuch Jang had received the award, he looked at BG's direction before making his speech. My wild guess, BG asked his favour to accept the award on YJ's behalf. He even supported Eunuch Jang by making a little Bombastic move. Third, BG's thank you speech and last tweets were another proofs that he had already known YJ's latest condition. Pardon my delulu mind..

So, I am still positive that there will be another BoYoo moment in the near future. Who knows, maybe BG will attend YJ's high school graduation ceremony. YJ is in her final year this year. In January 2018, she will be legal to date or confirm any relationship she has with someone. Haha.

Even if it does get quieter in here. i hope this forum can always be our go to forum when we need to feel some Raon in our lives. Reading and sharing things with everyone here has been such a great experience and will continue to be. 

we can always interpret things in a delu way when we see them individually and share it here when we miss them together. i'm sure we will have things to spazz about when the directors cut dvd's are released. 

I am currently re-watching moonlight again as i want to start the new year with Raon. I'm falling in love with them all over again.

Yoojung's current condition is saddening, all i wish for is for her to gain her happy virus back again and return to us in an even more healthier and brighter condition. She is uri human vitamin, after all. 

btw....sub's are out for the drama awards =D, time to do some nitpicking of Bogummie's actions...eieiei

But I had not imagined this moment to happen like this. 

It's been an awesome journey with these two wonderful people and with you all, fellow shippers who have made this thread such a lovely place, a true "paradise". In these months, that are not the best period of my life, BOYOO have been my happy pill. Watching them looking and smiling fondly at each other has never failed to put a smile on my face. For this I will always be thankful.

Like most of you (I guess) I envisioned the KDA as the last chance to see them together looking happy and enjoying the success they have deserved thanks to their hard work, dedication and talent. I had thought that we would spend some more time spazzing around here, analyzing official videos and fancams frame by frame and scrutinizing every detail of their interactions, and  thus we would get ready to let them go to their new projects and to the success that I am sure awaits them in the future too. Because while I am not losing the hope to see more of them as a couple, I am also aware that there won't be many chances in the future, and even if we keep supporting each of them individually, this thread will become much quieter. As a shipper, I was hoping to be able to give BOYOO a proper goodbye, to weave my hand and wish them all the best while watching them ride off together hand in hand into the sunset...

Things turned out a bit different, though, and this is probably why after being silent for such a long time I am now writing all of this.  

Here, this is how I feel too. Thanks for putting it so perfectly into words. While I do fully agree with the "let's spread positives vibes only, not hate" policy - because this is what being a BOYOO shipper is about for me too - there are things that I need to get off my chest to get some closure.

While I am super happy that KYJ, PBG and the others who made MDBC such a wonderful drama  received many awards and nominations as an acknoledgment of their efforts and achievements,  like everyone here, I guess, I can't help feeling sad thinking about the recent events and last night. My selfish wish for boyoo moments aside, I am sad for Yoojung who had to endure the pain/illness first and then the stress caused by that absurd witch hunt, and who was unable to enjoy the big night she was so looking forward to, and now this opportunity is lost forever, no matter how many more awards she will receive in the future and how brilliant her future career will be. Sad for Bogum who not only must be worried for her, but was also left to accept the Best Couple award by himself when he certainly had hoped to have YJ by his side at that moment. Sad for her family and friends, including the MDBC team that got close to her during filming because their happyness for the awards their drama got was clouded by Yoojong's absence. It was clear in the expressions of all her colleagues captured by the camera, especially when PBG and KYJ won the best couple award and when YJ was announced as the winner of the Excellence Award, as some of you have mentioned. The friendship we got to see was very touching, though. 

On a more positive note, first of all congratulations to Yoojung, Bogum and all the actors of MDBC for their well deserved awards and nominations. I am very proud of you, and so glad that MDBC was one of the big winners last night. I have spent many wonderful hours in your company and because of you, so I couldn't be happier for your success. 

Then, Yoojung-ah: please please take the time you need (not too much, hopefully, because we miss you ;-)) but recover completely and come back healthy, strong, beautiful, lovely and smiling as we are used to see you. I know that you are a strong and mature young lady, so I have no doubt you can overcome this, but my wish for you is that you won't lose your cheerful and carefree personality because of this. Hwaiting! 

In the middle of this mess, I am truly happy to see that YJ's sunbaes that have some power to do so have spoken up and showed their support. As to the younger actors who have their hands tied (how frustrating it must be for them!), I am sure they are supporting her privately. In this situation, hats off to Bogum for what he said during the best couple award acceptance. Just as @shootingstar007  mentioned, I do not doubt that with his words in the video that was posted he was defending YJ in the only way that he could. At that time the couples were discussing the "best aegyo", then the MC asked BG when was YJ most "lovely moment". His reply was nothing new, because we've already heard him say that Yoojung is lovely, but here he stressed the fact that all the staff adored her, and also his tone was very serious (especially compared to the playful replies of the other couples), so it's obvious to me that he was making a point, but still being subtle about it so as not to create problems. I am convinced that, being the wonderful human being that he is, BG would have done the same for KDY or for SJK or any of his close friends, but of course my shipper heart is happy that he did it for YJ while receiving the best couple award with her. And of course I agree with all of you who pointed out that both his speech when receiving the Netizens’ Award and his most recent tweets were meant - at least in part - especially for YJ: he would have wished his fans a happy new year anyway but the words he choose to do that are so appropriate for her current situation, that it is difficult to believe that he was not thinking about her. 

Lastly, because I've written too much already, my best wishes to both BG and YJ for a succesful 2017 when more of their dreams can become true, and my hope that they will keep their wonderful whatever-it-is relationship and they will continue to be a source of strenght and support for each other. Even non shippers can't deny that PBG and KYJ formed a deep bond and developed a sincere respect and affection for each other. Especially in the world they live in, this alone is something heartwarming and to be cherished. The shipper in me obviously would love them to be, or to become, a real couple, but they have already given me so many happy feelings as it is, and I am grateful to them for this. As long as they are happy, I am happy.

Thank you for your heartfelt sharings that express so eloquently n succinctly the feelings n thoughts of so many of us. I am a similarly reluctant 'nosy mom ' shipper but find myself irresistibly drawn to their irrespressive joy and laughter when they are together. It reminds me of how it felt to first fall in love n the angst n magic of it all. My 'mom's intuition'  (n mummies are always right ) tells me that there is definitely a special relationship between them. They are each such beautiful persons in their own right and so perfect for each other. However they have long paths ahead to walk and whatever their relationship may be in the future, i belive the 'memory of being loved (and supported n believed in), will give them the strength to  carry on' and live their lives to the fullest and with raon.

One of my favourite scenes in MDBC was when LY asked Sam Nong on the 1st day of his regency; if he had some encouraging words; and his crestfallen look when she said "No". But when she gazed at him with such adoration n confidence and said..." because I know u will do GREAT "... that look of pride on his face was epic...that because of the faith she had in him, he could move mountains. We wittnessed their real life delight n continued support  for each other during the MAMA and AAA.  A friendship/relationship built on shared memories n experiences  will always be special. So , no matter where life's adventures bring them (and of course  deep in our hearts we hope that they will be together for real), there will be that special place in their hearts for one another.

Thank you all my chingus for making this thread a lovely home for us all... it will be quieter with less interaction between our OTP, but let's keep in touch n update each other when there is news ; or simply let this be a place we can share our hearts when we miss our puppies... may we meet here in 2026 for the Return of Superman n their twinlets

As much as I don't want to over analyse Bogum's action since I really want to focus on supporting Yoojung during this tough time  

I've been following this thread quite diligently even after I decided to stop my BoYoo shipping activities. While doing so, I can't help to notice a lot of his actions are indirectly directed towards Yoojung after she was admitted. Here's a few things that totally awoken my shipping spirits:

1. He followed and unfollowed SidusHQ Twitter account when the news about Yoojung's second hospitalisation came out. This is just too much of a coincidence. At the very least he must have been scrolling through their Twitter timeline and accidentally followed the account.

2. He sang "Don't Forget" by Crush on KBS Gayo Daejun. This is a song that comforts him nowadays? I looked at the lyrics, well even the part he sang was very telling

3. This Nomantic sweater. Is this still a coincidence? I honestly don't know

5. He also re-tweeted Joel Osteen. A lot of Yoojungie's fans can actually relate to this. He might dedicate this to everyone but we all know who needs this kind of words the most right now 

6. His Netizen Award's speech, "I hope the people who I love and the people who love me will be healthy". I mean.. obviously this is such a general speech. Yoojungie just happened to be sick recently  

Btw, what a real coincidence, two his female lead fell sick few months after filming finished. Last time Hyeri was also diagnosed with Meningitis. Difference is, Hyeri fell sick without any controversy following her so Bogum can visit her openly with Ra Mi Ran. Poor our baby being witch-hunted by stupid haters and also BIG thanks to her s***ty agency. Bogum can't even visit her openly 

7. He carefully picked the right time to defend her and he did it so smoothly. I love that Bogummy tried his best to not make things worst for her and waited until the right opportunity comes. When it comes, he just go right into it. When he said "I really wanted to say", I know how much he has been holding himself back from meddling into this mess that is the stupidest controversy ever in the world's history.

 

Like some of you said, for all we know Bogum and Dong Yeon might be in touch with her all these time. (Even if they are not, that's probably because her parents are trying to get her away from social media and those mean comments about her posted online). But knowing Korea's Entertainment industry, hot young actors/actresses are the most restrained individuals in their country. They wouldn't know how their actions, even if the intention was noble will impact their careers and other people.

I bet more than Bogum & Dongyeon, all of her friends are dying to come forward and tell these haters how much of a great person she is. I know people in this thread are mostly rational and understanding. However, I have also seen some shippers blamed Bogum for not standing up for her. It saddens me to see not just one, but both of my babies had to receive hate because of the recent issue 

Let's try to ship them wisely. Whatever happens, always remember that our babies are at least good friends of each other. Even if they have no romantic relationship YET, as they themselves admit, they are still really close to each other. So don't lose hope, don't hate on any one of them just because we can't see their interactions in front of our eyes.

@mamun love your post, just wanna add something on no. 6 : he could visit his last leading female actress openly, because there wasn't anything to hide, they were just friends, same as he visited CSB's play.  With YJ, he just had to be cautious- any wrong move would put risk on their career. So I agree that less boyoo moments would be better for their relationship now.

I share your sentiments and agreed that Bogum looked like a corporate spokesman that has gone through the prepared key messages and FAQ before delivering his acceptance speech for the awards he'd won with Yoojung  I specifically highlighted that above part because it gave me hope. One year is a short time, it will end before we know it. I will keep my hope and continue to cheer on them, hopefully we'll get to hear some 'good signs' of Boyoo at the end of this year *fingerscrossed*

On the attitude controversy, I can never understand the behaviour of the netizens. Once said, then move on.
