“J” was Blackpink’s manager since debut and was in charge of them... “J” started losing money because of illegal internet gambling, and out of desperation, he stole Lisa’s money. Believes Lisa was targeted because she came from Thailand and the only one without a family in Korea.

Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK’s “Sour Candy” is a Top 20 hit in the United Kingdom!

On June 5 local time, the UK Official Charts shared its latest weekly charts, and “Sour Candy” has taken No. 17 on the Singles chart.

The song features lyrics in both Korean and English, and it’s on Lady Gaga’s new album “Chromatica.”

BLACKPINK’s previous highest ranking on the United Kingdom’s Official Singles chart was No. 33, which they achieved with “Kill This Love.” Their second highest was their collab with Dua Lipa, “Kiss and Make Up,” which peaked at No. 36. They’re now the first Korean girl group to enter the Top 20 of the Official UK Singles Chart.

It is speculated that BLACKPINK’s pre-release single comeback will be some time after mid-June.

The article also mentions the possibility of more singles dropping between June-Sep.

BLACKPINK has just made K-pop history in Australia!

On June 6, the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) announced that BLACKPINK’s new collaboration with Lady Gaga, “Sour Candy,” had debuted on the ARIA Singles Chart at No. 8.

The ranking marks the highest any K-pop group has ever charted on the ARIA Singles Chart to date, breaking the previous record held by BTS’s “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey, which peaked at No. 10.

BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga’s collaboration track “Sour Candy” has debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100!

On June 8, Billboard announced that “Sour Candy” takes the No. 33 position this week on the Hot 100, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres.

 

 

This is the first time that BLACKPINK has entered the Top 40 of the Hot 100. BLACKPINK’s previous peaks on the Hot 100 include “Kill This Love” at No. 41, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” at No. 55, and their Dua Lipa collab “Kiss and Make Up” at No. 93.

“Sour Candy” is included on Lady Gaga’s sixth album “Chromatica,” and the track features both Korean and English lyrics.

Billboard’s website will update with this week’s charts on June 9.
