@phoenixember On  VLive, the Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards will be aired live on 27 October - so rest assured you'll see a video - or two  of HCY. Yep, I love both versions of "Because I Miss You" and do hope that people won't compare the two and ask "Which is better?" because they are both great. Yes, too bad the female version of "Melting" wasn't released, I feel for you.

I really am grateful to KBS, not just because they gave HCY the honour of singing an OST for MDBC but because they have been so supportive of him - eg reporting about the success of his OST in China (00:33 - 00:37 he''s recording the OST)  and inviting him to take part in "Immortal Songs" last year when he was a "9-year-rookie singer". Are there fans of Immortal Songs here - I am sure there must be ...please see spoiler

I'm glad to see knets defending uri KYJ and MDBC. I find these treatment of them ridiculous especially after the show has already ended. I guess they're jealous of the popularity it has garnered. These people have nothing better to do I suppose. <<<<<< this is all I'm going to say about this unfortunate news. On the other hand....

Awww, Kwak Dong-yeon is such a gentleman.  Twice today we've seen him assist Kim Yoo-jung -- First, it was with her hanbok on their way to the fan sign event in Gyeongbokgung. Second, it was to pull her upright off the floor during their wrap party.. It's nice to know that chivalry isn't dead with today's youth. KDY's Omma must be so proud of her son; she raised him well!

@cynkdf Aaaaahhhh Immortal Songs!  I've seen a few episodes of that - specifically the one with HOTSechgodSG, hihihi.  I need to seach for more HCY songs.  To be honest, it's the first time I've heard of him (mianhae...) but he has a really melodramatic voice.  Reminds me of K. Will or Lee Moon Sae.  Weeeeeeee!!!  I'll watch out for the videos!  Kamsahamnida!

PS Heard the female version was sung by Byul.  Hopefully, someday she'll sing it - even a snippet will do.  OST team, do you hear us!?  Hihi.

Just read your post on Ep 18. 

I agree with you that I didn't feel that we lacked OTP moments. The scene where CP mentions his fear to Ra On and the moment he pulls off her veil. That point where the veil falls off her face is very sensual and the smile on the CP's face - how happy he was to see it was her. (Ra On - I think he will be able to realise you based on your eyes alone. It's not the first time he has done this . LOL) 

The scene of the closing doors too was symbolic - one for the beginning of a relationship which is rock solid and the other, an end for a relationship which never began. I too wondered how much HY saw but I am sure that once she saw the bracelet on Ra On's wrist, that was the second her hope died. Her hope that someday CP will learn to love her [echoing her speech to the King about withdrawing as the Crown Princess]. I also loved that we see the independent HY from the beginning, full of optimisim and not burdened with the fact that the CP does not love her. And she goes off on her own grand adventure (with the King's blessings). This to me also mirrors CP's actions towards Eunuch Ma and his love. 

One thing that possibly eased our hearts was that even though our OTP was apart physically, they were with each other emotionally and their thoughts were filled with each other. And somehow, someway they manage to meet each other (even during the heartbreaking bracelet scene). So I also never had any concerns over our OTP ending up together. Even if the wedding went ahead, I had faith that the writer will plan in a way to ensure our OTP still had their HEA.

I see that TMETS was mentioned and that was the only other 'sageuk' that I live-streamed to the end. With Prince Yang Myung (Jung Il Woo), he also loved Yeon Woo (The scene where Lee Min Ho (Jr) found out the Yeon Woo had died still haunts me). His death scene felt over the top to me but he knew that if he stayed alive, others will use him as a tool to take the throne. [Trust me. You have to watch the drama to find out more] Similarly to me, if YS had lived , his grandfather would never give up on his plans. Once YS as the sole heir and successor was gone, PM Kim truly lost everything. I loved the fact that YS died in the arms of the woman he loved. And that part when he mentioned 'She was the drawing he always wanted to draw' - I had to ask myself - how can someone come up with such moving words! (cue -crying. I actually watched Ep 18 4 times and each time I cried at this point- SIGH). I agree with you that we lacked the mourning for YS - his friends needed to mourn but we only saw the look on CP's face. [yup - live shooting] So I hope we get extended scenes for the Director's Cut. 

I would say that I loved the confrontation between the Queen and PM Kim. When she realised that she was just a tool for her father. The emotions in her voice compared to the stoic face and even voice of PM Kim just showed how different yet similar they were to each other. Their behaviours were similar (killing or abandoning for their own purposes) but one actually had a heart (Queen) and the other a lump of ice for a heart. The only time that heart melted was the realisation that his YS was dead. 

I also questioned myself about Ra On's father's reappearance (only to be caught immediately). I thought it was a plot device to bring Ra On back to the palace and for us to see that no matter what the CP will never let her go. But also that the CP realised that Ra On's father's dream was similar to his own. It became a domino effect - exposure of Ra On at the torture scene, CP in dilemma on how to get Ra On free, Kim Hyung outing himself and getting pierced by arrows and slashed, CP telling Kim Hyung his dream, Ra On listening to their conversation and fully believing in CP's words (I was waiting for the voice over from the preview stating that she will wait for him even if the dream doesn't come true.) Don't forget that the rebels escape also lead to Eunuch Han's death so the rebels were leaderless at this point. 

I am happy that the story began with the love story of CP and Ra On and ended with them as well. I mentioned previously that this was a youth romance sageuk. To end with a quote from the drama writer...

 Kim didn't go as far as making Hong queen because she wanted to leave it as a love story between two people in their youth.

"I wanted to paint their love in a way that would suit the world Lee Yeong creates, a world in which a woman can live as a woman and a child can live as a child," she said.

“Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” Autograph Event Attracts Huge Crowd As Stars Fulfill Ratings Promise

The stars of “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” have thrilled their fans by carrying out their ratings promise!

On October 19, the day after the hit drama’s finale, four stars of “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” arrived in costume at Gyeongbokgung palace for a fan meeting and autograph event that drew a crowd of over 5,000 people (according to estimates by the police officers at the site).

At the event, Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Kwak Dong Yeon, and B1A4’s Jinyoung signed autographs for the 200 fans who’d managed to secure tickets, while thousands crowded around outside to catch a glimpse of the cast.

Park Bo Gum promised back when the show first premiered that if the drama reached 20 percent in the ratings, its stars would hold an autograph event in costume for their fans. At the event, he told the crowd, “I’m so grateful and it’s such an honor that we’ve been able to carry out our ratings promise to celebrate surpassing 20 percent in the ratings. I’m truly thankful that so many people came.”
