Guys, can't we dislike a post?
I was out supporting @wizengamot's post in MT but I read a long post about something between the lines, and I really want to dislike it. I mean, come on stop being detective, and just watch the damn drama can you? I think I've said this earlier, but the reason I knew Junghwan would be the husband was because there are more scenes of him being in love with Doksun than any other boys. This is a drama, no matter how smarty pants the PD is, he is still a producer of a drama. He would not wasted so many scenes of just one person who is not important at all. For me, if the PD indeed is  a smart person he would give the most exposure to the Main Lead. We need a build up to buy the main OTP he presented, which is Doksun and her Husband. And if the one constructing the OTP is Junghwan, then surely he would be the main OTP along with Doksun, No?

Even the fact that last episode was about him saying good bye to his first love is really telling something. Why would you make entire episode about this poor boy who will get his heart broken? Surely you would give him the candy in the end, No?

Because of @Vannyah M I cannot get over the "to see Tom Hanks" line . But honestly Junghwan maybe should have stayed just a little longer. The scene he saw that was a uniformed Forrest jumping into the reflection pool to run towards Jenny (this PD team is brilliant. As soon as I saw a uniformed Forrest I was like run Junghwan, run...) but had he stayed a little not just "to see Tom Hanks"  but just the pool scene, he wouldn't have missed what I feel is a big "clue" if you will. And that is Jenny also in the reflecting pool running towards Forrest and the two meet in the middle. I can't even tell you guys the countless times Forrest lays his heart out for Jenny and she always leaves. It isn't till the very end that she writes to him and finally returns his feelings (yo she even became this disco era coke head and tried to kill herself, and I think I saw her join the panther party even). We just waiting on Deoknny to run to Junforr and everything is golden.

I been trying to think of a character that could be Taek in the movie and I come up blank...he's not Bubba right? Maybe he's Lieutenant Dan?

ETA: @lala14 sometimes I think the audience is watching two shows. Reply 1988 and Reply 1988: HSI (Husband Scene Investigation). This ain't no CBS or Discovery ID. If you got to search that hard and that deep for things, the writers and PD and not doing a good job imho. Come on now, who goes into a kdrama rom-com needing a magnifying glass, gloves, and those small scientific knives so you can dissect scene for scene like you working on a dead body....I enjoy some of it, but sometimes some viewers (and this includes some of us here *points to self cause I sometimes do it too*) take it too far. It's like just let a scene be, not everything means something (I read a post about shoe laces and burping...really ya'll? really?).

Anyway, I was watching ep. 18 again and I noticed something. You might remember that I said the ring JH gave to DS is called the commission ring. I just watched the restaurant scene with DR and JH, when DR asked JH about the ring, JH called it as "Fiance ring". However, the ring JH brought to DS was the commission ring for the officers. Usually, the Fiance ring is made with same material with gold and ruby but much smaller size for the women. The commission ring is given to every Air Force graduates, but I heard that the Fiance ring has to be orderd by the cadets and they have to pay for it with own money. They usually do that to give it to their lovers or sometimes to their mothers to show gratitude. So, I'm wondering either if it is the mistake from the production team or JH indeed ordered the Fiance ring and have it but didn't give it DS at that moment. Why did he give DS the commission ring not the Fiance ring if he really ordered it when graduating? I know Shin PD is very meticulous director all the time, so I can't just assume that it is mere a mistake. However, I don't think the fact of which ring is given is not that important. The sincerity of the confession is conveyed to DS, I strongly believe.

@papulichanOh gosh I totally forgot that  ishhh. Kim Jung-Boi and Man-ok are the Best Secondary Couple. Of all 3 Reply series imo. 

I think they will show who exactly DS was waiting for in Friday's episode. I feel like everyone is confused about this particular scene haha some say she was waiting for Taek, some say she was just nervous. I just want the last 2 episodes to come sooner (even though I know I'm going to miss this show badly after Saturday) because I want to know the answer already.

I'm going to bed already. Another reason I want this show to end: so I can get my beauty sleep again. I look like zombi at work ever since I got invested in this pairing.

The title of that book is "Nice to meet you, logic." It is about logic and how to think logically.

DR said that JH should not read that kind of book because he lacks romance in his life and urged JH to date more. Hope this helps.

@lala14 @MrsSoJiSub i actually read that post because we are so optimistic here (other ships are wondering why even after ep 18), i need some negativity for a well-balanced life. I'm sad (and mad) to announce that it's not even deduction to find the truth but distortion of the evidences. There's misinterpretation to every move and/or item, like really that umbrella that DS tuck in her hair and TK took off is the more important umbrella scene of the script (the one the writer wants to highlight) and not JH fetching umbrella to DS on a rainy 2am? I know it's petty but sometimes i'm thinking of quoting her analysis in the future or  tagging her and ask "really? so tell me again all about your super detailed analysis of how you got the husband wrong all these 20 episodes?"

That confession was last kill. If I ever thought TK was husband I would be sure now he is not the one. They left viewers with JH love for DS ,his heart break ..for what 7 days.I do not doubt the writer and pds ability to give another great confession for TK but will that be able to erase what viewers were put through for those days No way...

Haha, you are so right! They didn't do it right if we have to keep looking out for the little clues they gave to understand the story. I thought we are suppose to watch actors's face, and lines instead of props. And yeah, I really enjoy some of them, I think it's really smart of them to put out these little clues, and them who could actually find the RIGHT meaning of all of those. But, no need to go to far for those I think, just considerate amount and let the writer take the wheel. From the scenarios they gave so far, Doksun could like both boys, (eventhough JH winning few points here, he get her brooding over him two times more than Taek). On the other note, if we keep consider this as merely a drama, then of course Junghwan winning by a lot. No way, the PD wants us to believe this Doksun-loving boy won't get her in the end. You can make a story about unrequited love, and keep focusing on the boy's pov about a cute girl he can't get, but this isn't any of those story. This is his story about his first love and surely his last love. That's it.

And i think that why he said the sanbae is nice guy when SW ask him and JH answer he doesn;t smoke and when he see TK smoke in the rooftop of ep.17 he said (i'm not sure) TK bad guys maybe because JH is smoke too then he think the people who is smoke is the bad guys

about DS and JH wallet... i don't think she opened it (maybe little bit curious since it's JH wallet...  and want to take a peek...but still...) since we saw her reaction when BR open her wallet and read her diary (both are her privacy, and she really angry when someone violates her privacy) 

and there is a chance that (maybe) DS have a copy of that picture... so she doesn't need to take  the picture in JH wallet.

since it's 1988, so they're still using analog camera. and the analog camera film can be printed more than once, so each of JH and DS have that same picture. JH cut it and put it in his wallet, maybe DS save it in her photo album as a part of her memory and later after she get married put it in a frame and put it in her new living room   (and also solves the argument that JH-DS picture can't be the one that showed in 2015 scene)

Hello good people

Here I am preparing myself for emotional second strike after midnight when subbed eps are being released. Man I know  I`m gona cry sooo hard again i feel.

First i have to say that i dont think that DS went through JH`s wallet she`s just not that kind of person and second of all mans wallet is not a smartphone so you can see who knows what in there and i can remember what mom told me once  that girls back then were curious about boys diaries (if they had one) or like what they keep in their drawers. I could not care less about either of those including phones coz i simply dont  care. Just want to point out that there are girls who are not so curious,and respect others' privacy and DS could easily be one of them.

About TK lying to JH it could mean that he wants to protect their friendship and not being phony and competitive. One thing I've certainly learned through my life span ( this sounds like I`m 100 years old LOL) guys are different than girls and they put friendship before girls DEFINITELY. I had a similar situation i HAD (we are not friends anymore ) a friend girl and she knew that i like our other friend ( in this situation like JH knows about TK) the difference is that i liked him first in compared to JH-TK. She started to pursue him and i did not like that sooo blah blah blah not to spread the story i cut all ties with here. JH did not pursue DS after he discovered that TK likes her but TK saw  that JH likes DS while looking at him, then he got the confirmation when he saw that picture in his wallet which implies that Tk could be grateful that JH did not do anything so he wants to protect their friendship by pretending.

I am certain that I`ll scream at my laptop tonight again when i see JH at cinema watching Tom Hanks, coz you little richard simmons you can see him later those traffic lights will destroy you and then you gonna cry, and i dont even care anymore that you`ll cry I am pissed coz i know that i`ll drown myself in tears at the same moment.

JH is husband there is no objection * dang dang dang* ( judicial hammer). TK shippers knows that thats why they act the way they act, and once they rewatch R88 they will see the truth much clearer without that almighty`s script shipper  brainwashing.

One more thing i want to thank you guys for great first experience of sharing my kdrama love with someone which i never had a chance to experience i'll miss you along with R88 and richard simmons ( literally richard simmons no f word)

This is actually the first time ever I joined an English forum (apologies to the english language and to you for all my mistakes ), and I did cause I liked Reply so much. Yes, sometimes I'll have fun noticing clues and stuff but I'm in no mood to break it to pieces. So I'll go by my theory that it it talks like a dog and it walks like a dog it's JH and enjoy the last episodes. And it was nice meeting you all.
