Alright I need to get some shut eye. Before I stop refreshing for comments. One last hateful comment to leave. 

The moustache on Jung was simply yucky at the scene with the daughter!

This is what should have happened the moment HaeSoo sees GwangJong's portrait/painting.

With tears flowing down her eyes, Go Ha Jin whispered, "I'm sorry for leaving you all alone."

"I told you that you cannot leave me nor die without my permission," said someone with a familiar voice.

Go Ha Jin's eyes widened from those familiar words that she recalled of their very first kiss. Her heart raced and ached at the same time. When she quickly turned around, Go Ha Jin bumped her head into the person's chest. She was a bit reluctant to look up, but when she did, she stood there speechlessly with tears flowing down from her eyes as she stared into the eyes of the one man she had been longing for so long. It was the present day Wang So.

He slowly reached for her face and wiped her tears and said, "I told you to prepare yourself. You are my person and I told myself that I will find you no matter what, Soo-ah."

They both gazed at each other with longing and remorse, and then he leaned forward to kiss his one and only queen. Pulling back from their kiss, Wang So brushed Go Ha Jin's hair behind her ear with his hand. "I have been looking for you for a long time," he said.

"I'm sorry for leaving you all alone. I promise that I really won't leave you alone anymore, not even if you try to push me away...because in my heart, there is only you, 4th Prince, Wang So," said Go Ha Jin as she embraced the man she loves dearly.

There they were at the Goryeo Folk Drawings gallery, the two who met each other again in another lifetime after all the difficulty they have been through, can finally love each other without any burden from the past.

...After a few minutes...

Go Ha Jin turned back to the portrait of GwangJong and said, "This painting really looks like you."

Present day Wang So wrapped his arms around her from behind and said, "This painting was actually a gift that I wanted to give you...before you left the palace." Wang So paused for a second and continued, "But that doesn't matter now, because I am here with you from now on and I won't let you go ever again. We shall get married and have more children."

"Wait! Do you even have a job? We can't get married yet if our careers aren't stable. There are many things we have to consider..."

Rolling his eyes, Wang So went in for another kiss and commented, "You are always so difficult to handle, you know that? Don't worry about me, I can ensure you that finance is not an issue for me, now let's get out of here."

Present day Wang So grabbed Go Ha Jin by her hand and dragged her out of the venue...

 I think I'm satisfied for now.

I am among the minority who is fine with the ending I guess. Their love was doomed to hurt both of them from the beginning. 

Seeing Wang so in the future would be weird for me. Plus his last words are hope for a reunion in the future. With his stubbornness and resilience he will find soo for sure. I am ok with the open ending. It also reminds me what the general said after Wang so killed the monks and burned the monastery, he said to said something like "a thousand years would pass to find your souls  peace or happiness as your punishment". I thought at the time it was foreshadowing. Correct me if I am wrong. 

The acting was good over all. I don't need to mention LJG because he was perfect in this role. He should get all the awards and the praise. 

Editing and some ost were really weird and spoil the flow of the show for me. 

Still there are some episodes that I want to rewatch again and again (not the last two of course)

to everyone confused WANG SO KNOWS THATS HIS DAUGHTER. 

The moment he was questioning jung about her age he was very nervous like he was hiding something, then he saw hae soos hair pin that he gave hae soo and he realized its his kid which is why he said "Leave the child and go" which then made jung kneel and basically tell Wang so that yes this is hae soo's kid and she didn't want the kid in the palace and she worried about the baby until her death, that was his AHHH moment. HE BASICALLY ALLOWED JUNG FREEDOM NOW AROUND THE PALACE AND RIGHTS TO RAISE HIS CHILD BECAUSE IT WAS HAE SOOS WISH TO KEEP THE KID SAFE FROM PALACE POLITICS. SO YES GUYS, HE KNOWS ITS HIS WONDERFUL CUTE LITTLE HAE SOO.

And these are my first thoughts:

1 Hae Soo left the palace because she loved their child more than anything. She knew that if she tells So about the baby he would have never allowed her to leave. She did what was best for the child. To be raised free.

2 Jung already told to So that the baby is his and Hae Soo when he told him that Soo wish was that the child to not be raised in palace. So was never stupid, he realized that the baby is his but he respected HS desire. That is why So allowed Jung to return to the palace.

And the writer redeem his/herself in my eyes for the baby story. All in all this drama was a MASTERPRICE!

Congratulations to the actors and actresses and the casting director and for their wonderful job! And now I will wait for a big award for LJG brilliant performance.

 

Maybe that is why she smile when she leave the palace? Because she finally save one life, her own baby

After watch ep 20...i really want to kill the writer...what the hell is she thinking to make all the character end like that?

despite the ending that make me feel bit disappointed..  but i love this drama from the begining until the end..  for the first time I'm watched on going saeguk drama without skip the episode.. Every monday and tuesday I'm always waiting and curious for the next episode although know this drama would be sad in the end.. and everyday I'm always see the IG/news of Lee Joon Gi and IU and the other cast..  and every night the ost become my first playlist to hear..  and everytime I'm always open this forum.. from the 1st page until now 1824 page more and sometimes i post my thought and my excitement..  this drama really make my monday and tuesday always awaited..  Argghh.. and now this drama has ended..  I think i will miss MLSHR moment especially wangsoo and haesoo scene.. Thankyou MLSHR, writer-nim , Lee Joon Gi  Lee Ji eun and the other cast.. you all really make my 2 months full of many feelings and the last thankyou @kaiskloset who created this forum because I can share and see the analyze, the spoiler, the bts, and many more.. you're guys so amazing..

1. I thought the same.. specially given she knew how lady oh's kid was killed in name of the throne.. and things could go wrong for her kid..plus its a girl not even a boy.. so she would be reduced to being a maid and what not

The next half an hour: (not in sequence)

- Hmm Baek Ah and that slime (*please make it short)

- Okay Baek Ah and woo hee incarnated (*that's weird)

- Huh Baek Ah and wook (*thinking where's my OTP)

- Wang So and YH (*why do I need to see her again?)

The moment I saw Soo having a baby I was dang sure we won't have 21st century OTP.

At least So is dead, Go Ha Jin surely will need a lifetime of therapy.

it was the novel's fault for killing all of them.. why did the novel writer made that kind of story was beyond me.. maybe, it was real life story of a chinese emperor?
