Manse Impresses With His Fake Tears and Acting Skills

Like father like son, Manse proved he could possibly walk in his father’s footsteps as an actor.

On the “The Prize of Patience” episode of KBS2’s “The Return of Superman” aired on November 29, the show continues to show the triplet’s adventure at the set of “Jang Young Shil,” the drama in which Song Il Gook is playing the male lead. The three dress up as beggars in order to make a special appearance.

When filming starts, Daehan and Minguk receive the role of child beggars eating on the side of the road while Manse has to sit alone on the road crying.

A flock of actors run around the set as angry, revolting beggars, which can be a frightening sight for the young triplets. However, Manse shows his determination by holding Song Il Gook’s hand and promising to cry along.

Once the filming starts, tension fills the air. Though Daehan and Minguk happily eat their food, Manse puts extra work into digging into his emotions and soon tears up. The director is pleased with his work and soon sends out an OK sign.

“When I saw them dress up, they were adorable and knew what they were doing,” Song Il Gook says. “Congratulations to their first attempt at acting, and the fact that they got to see where their dad works is meaningful enough itself.”

Fans are eager to see how the triplets will be portrayed in the actual episode of “Jang Young Shil.”

Younger Version of Song Il Gook’s Character Cast by Historical Drama After 2 Months of Auditions

 

KBS is giving us a sneak peek at the much-anticipated historical drama “Jang Young Sil” with stills featuring both leading man Song Il Gook and the child actor playing a younger version of his character!

12-year-old actor Jung Yoon Suk is taking the role of the young version of the character Jang Young Sil, who is portrayed later in life by the drama’s star Song Il Gook. A representative from KBS says, “We worked very hard to find the young Jang Young Sil. We’ve been looking for the best child actor to take the role since the beginning of production, and after numerous auditions over a span of more than two months, we chose Jung Yoon Suk.”

Jung Yoon Suk has a special connection with Song Il Gook, as he debuted in Song Il Gook’s famous historical drama “Jumong” at the age of four.

The representative from KBS states, “Child actor Jung Yoon Suk will be playing Jang Young Sil during his difficult childhood, when he showed great intelligence and superior scientific understanding but suffered because of his status as a slave.”

They add that Jung Yoon Suk has come to be known as a “sponge” on set because of his ability to quickly memorize his lines.

“Jang Young Sil” is slated to air its first episode on January 2.

YEYYYYYY...the power of SIK and all JYS casts...congrats...i'm actually not kind of someone who like historical/saeguk drama but don't know why, i'm very excited to watch this drama as soon as possible because i'm very curious with JYS as a person and his achievements...hope the PD and SW-nim can bring up our expectations... :wub::wub:

Hi everyone, lets make sure the drama gets subbed.

There is no way to tell for sure if KBSW will bring this drama to their YT channel, but looking at their past - looks like most KBS1 drama did not get to KBSW YT channel (at least, not downloaded)

I was looking esp. at the weekend drama, which this is.

@irilight it's  great idea.  I've added request to dramafever.

I'm afraid it's not that they don't want to sub, they  may not get the license to sub.

I think KBS doesn't give permission to sites like dramafever to sub dramas from KBS1.

But I won't give up hopes.

@KonaBeans  Hi...

I see KBS World did download some KBS1 drama, but they were mostly dailies.

The serious historical drama (Jeong Do-Jeon and Jing Bi Rok) they did not download. 

So that is why I am hoping we can get either DramaFever of Viki to bring it to us.

I don't really care which one of them, and if subs are late. I'd rather have late subs than no subs at all.

You may be correct that KBS does not allow licensing of these. At least we can impress upon them that people want to see this drama, so please try...
