On May 3, during SBS’s “Did You Eat?” past photos of Kim Hye Soo were revealed.
For this episode, Kim Hye Soo, Lee Young Ja and Im Ji Ho visited the Gwansado campus.
Lee Young Ja asked Kim Hye Soo, “What kind of a girl were you when you were little? Were you good at your studies?” Then, Kim Hye Soo answered by saying, “Are there people who aren’t good at studying in elementary school?”
Upon hearing her answer, Lee Young Ja said, “Me,” and Kim Hye Soo added on by saying, “Me too,” making everyone laugh.
Lee Young Ja continued by saying, “I feel like you were tall and pretty too,” and Kim Hye Soo replied by saying, “I wasn’t. I was short. I was just an ordinary girl. My mental age was younger than most that were my age and I was kind of gloomy.”
While they were discussing Kim Hye Soo’s past, her past photos were revealed. In the revealed pictures, Kim Hye Soo showed a glamorous beauty like the beautiful woman she is. When she was younger, rather than a glamorous charm, the young and innocent charm was bigger.
Check out her glamorous photo below!

Kim Go-eun, Kim Hye-soo team up in Coin Locker Girl by awcoconutshttp://www.dramabeans.com/2014/05/kim-go-eun-kim-hye-soo-team-up-in-coin-locker-girl/

Well, this casting news is exciting. The movie Coin Locker Girl is about a baby girl who is left in a coin-operated storage locker in a subway station, and is discovered and raised by members of the shady underworld. Its initial setting is the same as Coin Locker Babies, the 1980 Ryu Murakami cyberpunk novel, but the similarities end there; the latter (a US-film version of which has been languishing for the better part of a decade) is a dark tale about two baby boys left for dead in adjacent train station lockers — they survive and grow up in an orphanage, but are unable to escape their troubled upbringing.

That’s not to say that the Chungmuro film will be light and fluffy, but it’s probably safe to assume it won’t delve into the depths of despair the book did. Kim Go-eun, who shot to fame in 2012’s Eungyo and received multiple best new actress awards for her debut performance, is very close to being confirmed for the role of baby girl grown young lady. Her team said that barring the extraordinary, Kim Go-eun will be in the movie, and they are working out the final details. We saw her last in Monster, which was released a couple of months ago, and will see her next in the upcoming Memory of the Sword, with Lee Byung-heon and Jeon Do-yeon.
It will be the rising star’s first time working with veteran Kim Hye-soo (The Face Reader, God of the Workplace), an actress whom Kim Go-eun has mentioned in the past as a sunbae she would like to work with. The seasoned celebrity will play the leader of the underground loan sharks, who takes Kim Go-eun under her wing and is a charismatic mother figure. As she gets older, Kim Go-eun is given increasing responsibilities and assignments by her makeshift family — will she be able to break away from the unscrupulous activities she grew up around? Or will she be the successor to Kim Hye-soo’s Godmother-like baddie? We’ll have to watch to find out.
After finalizing the rest of its cast, Coin Locker Girl will begin filming this summer.

KoBiz Recommendation #4: What's more thrilling than watching a cliff-hanging heist? Watching a group of A-list cast plotting together (or betraying each other) for the huge robbery. Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven (2001) and CHOI Dong-hoon's The Thieves (2012) both boast for amazing cast and can guarantee entertainment.

Jupiter prepares legal battle against KBS for alleged plagiarism of ‘The Face Reader’
By Chung Joo-won The Korea Herald

Jupiter Films, the producer of the epic film “The Face Reader” (2013), filed a provisional injunction action against state-run broadcaster KBS 2TV over a violation of intellectual property rights.
Kangho, the legal representative of Jupiter Films, issued a press release on Monday, alleging that KBS’ upcoming epic television series “The King’s Face” breaches intellectual property rights. The provisional injunction request was submitted to the Seoul Central District Court.
The law firm claimed that the aim of the provisional injunction request was to protect Jupiter’s intellectual property rights and fair trade against the defendants, broadcaster KBS Media and drama producer KBS Media. The controversial 24-episode drama “The King’s Face” is scheduled to air from November.
KBS has not yet issued an official statement about the legal dispute. “We have not yet been given the official statement to issue,” a KBS spokesperson said, suggesting that the managers remain undecided over the issue.
A legal battle seems inevitable if Jupiter and KBS fail to reach an agreement on the upcoming drama.

The official poster of the film “The Face Reader” (2013)
The bones of contention are whether KBS referred to the script of the film “The Face Reader” when creating the screenplay of “The King’s Face,” and whether the two works have verifiable common features that make it possible to prove that the film is the original source of the upcoming television drama.
In the press release, Kangho alleged that in December 2010, Jupiter adopted the “one-source-multi-use strategy,” creating a script that could be adapted into three different forms -- a novel, a movie and an epic television series -- as the property rights owner of the original work. The novel “The Face Reader,” consisting of two volumes, was published in fall of 2013 on the sidelines of the movie’s launch.
Kangho insisted that Jupiter and KBS had meetings to discuss the television series of the work, but the deal fell through as the two failed to reach an agreement. In the process, Jupiter gave the script and the printed proposal on the drama version of “The Face Reader” to KBS to review.
In addition, Kangho claimed that KBS’ drama has many of the same plot features and characteristics that cannot be interpreted as merely incidental. The drama’s production staff, too, turned out to be the same crew that Jupiter initially offered the job to at the time it discussed producing the drama with KBS, Kangho added.
“The Face Reader,” starring Song Gang-ho, Lee Jung-jae, Baek Yoon-sik, Kim Hye-soo and Lee Jong-suk, launched in cinemas in September 2013. The film attracted some 9.1 million viewers, raking in 66 billion won ($65 million) in box office sales and securing a spot among the top 10 most-viewed Korean films.
