‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ to Film New Season in Greece

Grandpas Over Flowers has chosen Greece as its new destination.
According to multiple broadcasting affiliates, the production team of tvN’s Grandpas Over Flowers has chosen Greece as the new travel destination and is currently preparing for the trip. The team has recently returned from doing a field study. 
The Grandpas Over Flowers team previously chose Jordan as the first destination of the new season but canceled due to the unstable situation of the Middle East. The team began searching for another destination and recently decided on Greece.
An affiliate of Grandpas Over Flowers previously told Newsen on January 31, “As of now, there are no changes to the schedules for the trip. It has been said that they’re currently looking for other destinations and considering places that are safer than the Middle East.”
Na Young Seok PD told Newsen, “I’m preparing for the new season of Grandpas Over Flowers along with writer Lee Woo Jung. We’re still in the planning stage. We will be leaving for the trip in the middle of February.”

Anticipation has been increasing for the new season of Grandpas Over Flowers, which will air following tvN’s Three Meals – Fishing Village Special. 

Grandpas Over Flowers succeeded in gaining consecutive hits with its Europe, Taiwan and Spain Special.

The 3rd season of tvN ‘Grandpas Over Flower’ decided to go to Greece. Na Yeong-Seok PD is going to leave for Greece with the ‘grandpas’ this weekend.
‘Grandpas Over Flower’ planned of leaving for Jordan. Jordan is one of the safe regions in Middle East, and well-known as the field location of drama ‘Undone’. However, as the international relation over Middle East gets unstable, they changed destination to Europe.
Meantime, ‘Grandpas Over Flower’ is an entertainment program of ‘Grandpas’ including Lee Soon-Jae, Shin-Goo, Park Geun-Hyeong and Baek Il-Seop with ‘porter’ Lee Seo-Jin. At the season 1, they visited Europe and Taiwan, and went to Spain at season 2. Season 3 will be broadcasted from March.

"Grandpas over Flowers," a cable network tvN's reality-travel show starring actors in their 70s travelling around world, will travel to Greece this time, the show's producer Na Young-seok said, Monday.
"The crew members have already finished on-site survey. The actors will leave for Greece this weekend," Na said.
Na added that they changed their travel destination from Jordan to Greece as many were concerned about safety problem in Middle East area.
Comprised of veteran actors including Baek Il-seob, Shin Goo, Lee Soon-jae, Park Geun-hyung and 44-year-old actor Lee Seo-jin as their travel guide, the show follows their global backpacking travels in France, Swiss, Taiwan and Spain.
Their trip to Greece will be broadcasted in March.

‘Grandpas’ head to Greece for travel show
Cable travel variety program “Grandpas over Flowers” has decided on Greece as the destination for its third season, local news reported Monday.
Producer Na Young-suk said the program makers chose Greece because of its warm weather and safety, as well as its abundant tourist attractions.
“We took the grandpas’ opinions into account. They suggested Greece as the destination. I hope viewers will find third season fun and interesting. The viewers might be able to enjoy different kinds of fun from previous seasons. ” 
The cast and crew are scheduled to head to Greece on Feb. 15 and will shoot for the program for 10 days. 
“Grandpas over Flowers,” broadcast on tvN, follows senior-actors as they travel abroad. The cast includes Lee Soon-jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun-hyung, Baek Il-Seop and Lee Seo-jin. 
The exact date of broadcast is yet to be confirmed, but is expected to be from late March to early April, following the conclusion of “Punch.”

Choi Ji Woo Joins ′Grandpas Over Flowers′ in Greece

On February 15, the staff of Grandpas Over Flowers shared, "The regular members, the grandpas(Lee Soon Jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun Hyung, Bae Il Seop), baggage carrier Lee Seo Jin, and the staff will leave tonight." The staff later added that Choi Ji Woo will also be joining.

After spending time with Lee Seo Jin and Lee Soon Jae through Three Meals, Choi Ji Woo will be joining the Greece special as a travel member for the duration of the entire trip. 

"She′ll be playing the part of the assistant baggage carrier from departure to arrival." 
On casting Choi Ji Woo, the staff shared, "When she appeared on Three Meals, she mingled well with Lee Soon Jae, and her interaction with Lee Seo Jin was also good, so we offered her the position, and she happily agreed to join the trip." 


The Grandpas Over Flowers team will stay in Greece for 10 days and return on February 25. The broadcast will air in March.

Choi Ji Woo joins ‘Grandpas over Flower’… Meets Lee Seo Jin again

Actress Choi Ji-Woo of ‘Grandpas over Flower’ is appearing on as assisting porter.
On tvN announced that Lee Son-Jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun-Hyeong, Baek Il-Seop, the carrier Lee Seo-Jin and the producing crew left for ‘Grandpas over Flower’ in Greece adding that Choi Ji-Woo joined as a new member.
According to tvN, Choi Ji-Woo will be together through the whole schedule as an assisting porter.The production crew of ‘Grandpas over Flower - Greece’ said about casting Choi Ji-Woo, “When she appeared on ‘3 Meals’, it was good seeing her doing well with Lee Soon-Jae and Lee Seo-Jin, so the production crew asked her. And she agreed to be in our team. Lee Seo-Jin has been a quiet son and the best porter, and Choi Ji-Woo is expected to be a charming daughter.”
‘Grandpas over Flower’ production crews will come back on February 25 after schedule of 10 days. 
Choi Ji-woo joins ‘grandpas’ on tvN show
Actress Choi Ji-woo will star in the next edition of the tvN reality show “Grandpas over Flowers,” alongside Lee Seo-jin. 
The show, produced by Na Young-seok, revolves around four elderly actors -- Lee Soon-jae, Shin Goo, Park Geun-hyung and Baek Il-seob -- as they travel overseas with the help of Lee. 
The show will be shot in Greece, and the cast is set to return to Korea on Feb. 25. The show will be aired in March. 

While Choi has concentrated on dramas and films for most of her career, this will not be her first appearance on a variety show produced by Na.  Her first encounter with Na was on KBS’ “2 Days and 1 Night” in 2011. She then appeared in tvN’s “Three Meals a Day,” which is also produced by the former KBS producer.

“On ‘Three Meals a Day,’ (Choi) and Lee Soon-jae created a good atmosphere, and she worked well with Lee Seo-jin,” a member of the production staff was quoted as saying by the local media. 

The official was also quoted as saying that Choi quickly confirmed that she would join the latest edition of the cable television show. 
“Unlike Lee, who has played the part of a quiet son, Choi will serve as the charming daughter (of the elderly actors).”

This is kind of perfect: Choi Ji-woo (Temptation, Suspicious Housekeeper) pulled off a surprise (thanks to — who else? — Na PD) when she arrived at the airport to join the unsuspecting cast in the latest installment of the globetrotting-halbaes variety show Grandpas Over Flowers. Returning for this latest edition were all of the original cast members, who are grandpas Lee Soon-jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun-hyung, and Baek Il-sub, led by their resident luggage boy/tour guide/cook/Seo Genie/Seo Genius Lee Seo-jin.
Lee Seo-jin confirmed that Na PD hadn’t breathed a word of her participation to them, and they only realized it when she showed up at the airport on February 15 for their departure flight to Greece (plans were changed after the show initially announced heading to Jordan). Choi Ji-woo is well on her way to being a full-fledged member of Na PD’s family; she’s been a guest on a couple of his programs, first with the Actress Special on 1 Night, 2 Days and then more recently on the farmhouse edition of Three Meals a Day.

Grandpas en route to Greece

A team from the popular reality TV show “Grandpas Over Flowers” left for Greece on Monday. The team initially planned to travel to Jordan, but the production team changed the destination at the last minute because of safety issues. 
Early Monday morning, four actors in their 70s - Lee Soon-jae, Shin Goo, Park Geun-hyung and Baek Il-seob - showed up at Incheon International Airport with actor Lee Seo-jin and actress Choi Ji-woo. 
The hit reality TV show features actors in their 70s who go on excursions. Lee Seo-jin has played the role of a tour guide since the show’s first season in 2013. Choi joined the team for the new season. 
“She will follow the grandfathers from the beginning through the end of their stays in Greece,” said an official from the production team of the show. 
Choi previously appeared in one episode of another popular reality TV show “Three Meals a Day,” in which some of the seniors showed up as guests. That episode earned high ratings. “Three Meals a Day” is also produced by Na Young-seok, who takes the helm of “Grandpas Over Flowers” series, and the show’s host is Lee Seo-jin. 
The fourth season of “Grandpas Over Flowers” set in a Mediterranean country will broadcast in March.
