Heard It As A Rumor – 풍문으로 들었소: Feb. 23

KBS2’s upcoming Mondays and Tuesdays drama following Punch. It stars Go Ah Sung, Lee Joon, Yoo Joon Sang, Yoo Ho Jeong and others.

Plot:  A drama about a rumor that spread in a high school about a wealthy guy who got a girl his age pregnant. The family of the guy try to cover up the rumor which keeps on spreading.

Comments: The cast of this drama was confirmed pretty late, and isn’t even fully confirmed yet. I’m pretty curious about the other actors who will be on board. It should have began filming during January, so will they be able to keep up with the late casting and filming to be on time for their premiere? Anyhow, the plot seems quite interesting and Lee Joon has been doing good in his acting career so far so I guess it could be a bit hit.

Anticipation Level: 7/10

SBS 새 월화드라마 ‘풍문으로 들었소’(이하 ‘풍들소’ 극본 정성주 연출 안판석)의 총 대본리딩 현장이 공개됐다. 

지난달 16일 SBS 일산제작센터에서 진행된 대본리딩은 유준상 유호정 장현성 이준 고아성과 길해연 박진영 윤복인 서정연 김호정 등 영화와 연극무대에서 맹활약하고 있는 실력파 배우들이 모두 참석한 가운데 약 3시간가량 열띤 분위기 속에서 진행됐다. 

먼저 대대손손 법률가를 배출한 대한민국 상위 1% 로열패밀리로 출연하는 유준상 유호정 이준은 격식과 체면에 얽매인 특권층의 모습을 리얼하게 보여줬다.

최고의 귀족교육을 받고 자라 현재는 법무법인 한송의 대표인 한정호 역을 맡고 있는 유준상과 언제 어디서나 기품과 상냥함을 잃지 않는 재색을 겸비한 최고의 귀부인 최연희 역의 유호정은 초일류 상류사회 부부 역할을 물 흐르듯 표현했다.

이들과는 정반대로 가슴 따뜻한 가정을 이루고 있는 장현성 윤복인 고아성 공승연은 가진 것은 없지만 믿음 강한 훈훈한 가정의 모습을 친근감 있게 보여줘 현장을 웃음바다로 만들었다. 

대학도 결혼도 회사도 남들 하는 만큼 평탄하게 살아오다 정리해고로 실직 후 간판가게를 운영하는 서형식 역의 장현성과 집안 걱정, 자식들 걱정에 하루도 편할 날 없지만 항시 자식을 먼저 생각하는 푸근한 엄마 김진애 역을 맡은 윤복인은 일상을 보여주는 듯한 연기로 잔잔한 웃음을 이끌어냈다. 

또한, 특권의 인큐베이터에서 만들어졌지만 순정적인 인물 한인상 역의 이준과 인상이 엄청난 집안의 귀공자인줄 모르고 사랑에 빠지는 바람에 상상을 초월하는 냉대와 엄중 감시를 받게 되는 서봄 역의 고아성은 나란히 앉아 생동감 넘치는 목소리로 대본을 읽어나갔다. 

‘풍문으로 들었소’는 ‘아줌마’, ‘아내의 자격’, ‘밀회’ 등 화제작을 함께한 명품콤비 정성주 작가와 안판석 감독이 의기투합한 작품으로 월화극 정상을 달리고 있는 ‘펀치’ 후속으로 오는 23일(월) 밤 10시 첫 방송된다.

The first script reading for SBS’ upcoming drama I Heard Some Rumorhas been unveiled.

The script reading, which took place on January 16 at the SBS Ilsan Production Center for three hours, was attended by some of Korea’s top actors such as Yu Jun Sang, Yoo Ho Jung, Lee Joon and Ko Ah Sung as well as the film and play actors, such as Gil Hae Yeon, Park Jin Young, Yoon Bok In, Seo Jung Yeon, Kim Ho Jung and more.

First, Yu Jun Sang, Yoo Ho Jung, Lee Joon and Park So Young, who will act as Korea’s top one percent ‘royal family’ that has produced lawyers generation after generation, realistically depicted the ruling class, which is bound by formality and dignity.

Yu Jun Sang, acting as CEO Han Jung Ho of the law firm Han Song after growing up receiving the best education in the country, and Yoo Ho Jung, acting as the beautiful and witty lady Choi Yeon Hee, who never forgets to be elegant and kind no matter where she is, smoothly acted out a married couple in the upper class.

On the other side, Jang Hyun Sung, Yoon Bok In, Ko Ah Sung and Gong Seung Yeon played a heartwarming family, who trust each other despite not possessing much wealth.

Jang Hyun Sung played Seo Hyung Sik, who lives an ordinary life of going to a college, getting married and working at a company, and operating a store after getting laid off. Yoon Bok In acted out Kim Jin Ae, who is the warmhearted mother who worries about her children day and night.

Lee Joon, acting as Han In Sang, who was born with the prerogative of the rich but has a pure heart, and Ko Ah Sung, acting as Seo Bom who falls in love with In Sang without knowing he is from a noble family and receives inhospitable treatment and strict surveillance, received praises from director Ahn Pan Seok by reading the scripts with lively voices sitting next to each other. 

Gil Hae Yeon acting as the secretary at the law firm Han Song, Jang So Yeon acting as Min Joo Young in charge of the personnel-related matter at Han Song, Park Jin Young acting as the former prime minister Baek Dae Hyun, Lee Hwa Ryong acting as Jung Ho’s chief secretary Kim Tae Woo, Seo Jung Yeon acting as Choi Yeon Hee’s personal secretary Lee Sun Sook, Jeon Suk Chan acting as Bom’s uncle Seo Chul Shik, Kim Hak Sun and Kim Jung Young acting as the deacon and housekeeper at Jung Ho’s house, naturally became one with their characters, befitting their titles as talented movie and play actors.

Meanwhile, I Heard Some Rumor is another collaboration project between writer Jung Sung Joo and director Ahn Pan Suk, who produced A Wife’s Credentials, Secret Love Affairs and more, is set to begin on February 23, following Punch.

Lee Joon, Ko Ah Sung, Yoo Ho Jung, and More attended “I Heard a Rumor” First Script Reading


The first script reading for the newest SBS drama, "I Heard a Rumor," has taken place last January 16 at SBS Ilsan Production Center. The gathering was said to have lasted for about 3 hours and all the actors involved in the drama were present. 

Some of the names who were at the script reading are Lee Joon, Yu Jun Sang, Ko Ah Sung, Park Jin Young (stage play actor), Gil Hae Yeon, Yoon Bok In, Kim Ho Jung, Seo Jung Yeon, Jang Hyun Sung, Gong Seung Yeon, and a lot more.

Lee Joon will act as Han In Sang, the carefree son from a very wealthy family. Although he was born with silver spoon in the mouth, he is not a conceited fellow. He fell in love with Seo Bom (Ko Ah Sung), an ordinary lady from the rural area. She is clueless about Han In Sang's family background and never knew that he actually came from an aristocratic family. She got pregnant but Han In Sang's family couldn't find it in their hearts to accept her in their family so she was ill-treated.

Yu Jun Sang, Yoo Ho Jung, and Park So Young will play as Lee Joon's family who belong to Korea's top 1%. They are practically a "royal family" who are all great lawyers but greedy.

On the other hand, Jang Hyun Sung, Yoon Bok In, and Gong Seung Yeon will be Ko Ah Sung's family. They are happy and affectionate despite being poor.

"I Heard a Rumor" is a project collaboration between writer Ahn Pan Suk PD and writer Jung Sung Joo. With the impressive team-up and great actors the drama is expected to do well in the ratings.

Finally, the drama will air its first episode on February 23 as "Punch" comes to an end.
