Hi @valsava   From the clip above, yes, chingu, they are in Japan.  Uri Gongju can speak Japanese with no accent. She is left-handed, eating soba noodle holding chopsticks in her left hand. Cool!  :)

I'm kind of confused @smp567, I thought the princess was in Japan.. Did GW travel to Japan I can't imagine Japan still having they colony there after the war..

Not sure about King Gwanghae traveling to Japan. Will check.

From what I could gather, Hong Joo Won went to Japan as an envoy but with a secret mission to buy amber. But King Gwanghae used him as a decoy so he could track his enemy plus distract them from what he was really up to. I don't think Gwanghae went to Japan.  It didn't show him using a boat did it? Was he looking to free that prisoner of war? Was that his objective?  Hong Joo Won looked pretty shocked when he realised he'd been set up by the King. I wish the subs were out so I could be sure.

On the 9th episode of MBC Monday & Tuesday drama, "Splendid Politics", Jeongmyeong (Lee Yeon-hee) went on board a ship with Hong Joo-won (Seo Kang-joon) together in order to return to Korea.

Hong Joo-won worked hard to complete the task ordered by Gwang Hae (Cha Seung-won) to smuggle sulphur from Edo, Japan into Joseon. However, it was just a trap set up by Gwang Hae in order to catch the rogue group, who had been trying to snatch sulphur and interfere the development of gun powder.

Hong Joo-won, who did not figure out the real purpose of Gwang Hae's order, kept working to complete the task with Jeongmyeong. And he was caught by the Japanese government in the process.

As this happened, Jeongmyeong aimed her sword to Hong Joo-won in front of the Japanese officers and told him, "Tell them you thought it was grain and insist you're innocent. Tell them I used you. Since you're a diplomat, things will work out this way for you. I must go back to Joseon. So you get out of here and come back to rescue me". And then she surrendered herself without resistance.

Thanks to Jeongmyeong, Hong Joo-won could be set free without much trouble. Jeongmyeong in prison was waiting and hoping Hong Joo-won would come back to rescue her.

Don't panic everyone we have no new comments after April 28 so I hope they can have this fixed before the end of the week..

The princess is in Japan, but everyone mysteriously speaks Korean just like in Age of Innocence.
