A special screening of the movie "Kanojo wa uso wo aishisugiteru" was held in Osaka on December 6 which was attended by the cast members, Sakurako Ohara, Takeru Sato and  Shohei Miura. The movie will be shown in cinemas from December 14.

Ohara whose father is a narrator of Yomiuri TV's programme "Gyoretsu no dekiru Houritsu Soudanjo", was picked as the heroine from an audition which attracted about 5,000 people.

Despite this movie being her first work, Ohara's co-stars Sato and Miura both praised her for her performance and said that she didn't look like a newbie at all.

Last Dec. 8, 2013, a week prior to the release of the movie, the main cast of "The Liar and His Lover" gathered together with 200 fans who were chosen by lottery, for the "Kanouso Winter Festival 2013", a day filled with various activities held in connection with the promotion of the film.

Takeru Sato commemorated the release of his official 2014 calendar with the "Flick Me Everyday Exhibition" and press conference which was held last Dec. 8, 2013 at the 7th Floor of Parco in Shibuya from 10:30 to 10:50 am. It was the kick off ceremony for the  "Kanouso Winter Festival 2013", a day long promotional event for his then to be released movie, "The Liar and HIs Lover". Included in the exhibition was the costume and props he used in the movie like his denim jacket and the stingray bass guitar as well as some of his photos taken from the movie. The exhibit ran from Dec. 7 to 15, 2013.

Mush & Co. appeared in the radio show, FM-FUJI "SUNDAY IN THE PARK" last Dec. 8, 2013 as part of the whole day "Kanouso Winter Festival 2013" to promote the movie "The Liar and His Lover".

As part of the "Kanouso Winter Festival 2013", from 11:40 to 11:50 am last Dec. 8, 2013 at the second floor of the Shibuya Tokyo Department Store, Mush & Co. signed the Pepsi Nex billboard that was a collaboration between Pepsi and the movie "The Liar and His Lover".

Crude Play held their first live performance of the day for the "Kanouso Winter Festival 2013" from 12 noon to 12:30 pm at the basement area of the Tower Records Shibuya branch, the same location which was used for their concert scene at the start of the movie. They performed the songs "Insecticide" and "Sayonara No junbi wa, mode kite ita"

From 3 - 4 pm last Dec. 8, 2013, Mush & Co held a live performance and handshake greeting with the fans at the basement area of the Tower Records Shibuya branch. They sang "Tomorrow" (Ashita Mo) and "Utao tai no uta".
