KBS2′s Our Neighborhood′s Masters of Variety and Sports was awarded a plaque by the Korea Council of Sport for All (KOCOSA).

Producer Lee Ye Ji and the staff of the show were invited to an event in which they were awarded a plaque before many high-level officials for fostering interest in sports for all on August 19.

Comedians Lee Byung Jin and Park Sung Ho, with actor Jo Dal Hwan, were also appointed honorary ambassadors for sports for all this day.

Secretary General Kwon Young Gyu of KOCOSA said, "Our Neighborhood′s Masters of Variety and Sports has been providing viewers with healthy sights to see, putting on intense games and bringing together the humor of athletes with the panels. Every episode, it moves viewers to tears and makes them laugh with its jokes."

He added, "Table tennis rooms have seen a 20 percent increase in the number of registered members on average, and bowling alleys have been earning 30 to 40 percent more than usual. 20 percent more people compared to last year have also been coming out to compete in such competitions."

After receiving the award, the producers commented, "We′re happy more people have been showing interest in sports for all, and we′re even more thankful we′ve been able to receive this award. We′re happy that sports have become more popular, but we also feel a responsibility about the boom. We′ll continue to work hard and let our viewers feel how healthy sports for all are."

The next episode of Our Neighborhood′s Masters of Variety and Sports will air on August 20.
