I feel guys in my opinion that ES if she went and left him may be it will make KT strong  and know how to take his belongings from his father , I think he will concentrate on his problems rather than protecting ES with promises he can't fulfill , he is still young and  doesn't have any power to oppose his father even his brother couldn't do it , what about his mother??? I think ES think all of that bcz KT she know how much he lost ?? but he will  lose in the future more than his capability to protect ,I think ES didn't travel  bcz may be YD watching her , I think YD will hide her and her mother may be outside the city where KT live .

Debate on the shadows.
I do to think it's KT's shadow but imagine the possibility would be ES's is fun. KW/YD/Sec Yoon manage to turn table arounds on the daddy Kim making him believe that ES has gone well infact she's still around but lying low. KT did had the fright of his life. He would be careful afterwards. They all together gang up and played back daddy kim. That would be a nice twist, without actually having  them to separate.
I wonder why KT only called up CY and not YD when he was looking for ES?Both of them did  protect her together.

I think ES didn't leave Korea, because KT has her passport remember? She & her mom probably left the Kim mansion and went to the countryside. And somehow get caught by YD! (Sounds familiar? *sigh*....Eun Sang is Kim Tan's weakness and I think daddy Kim knows that.With her leaving, I think Kim Tan will fight hard for Jeguk. I've always thought Kim Won is not a good successor...by the way he chairs his meeting and stuff.Daddy Kim is actually right. He can't just give the position to Kim Won just cause he's the first son. He's gonna give it to the 1 who does better.It's for the betterment of the company. It will be kinda sad to see a long standing successful company crumble due to an incapable chairman.
I really hope if there's a time jump, Eun Sang will come back successful with her own capabilities...and at that time, no one will dare say she doesn't deserve Tan. But of course, you can't have everything, so I think Tan will either get to be the successor OR get the girl.Since they're only 18 (technically 17 years old) , liking someone else after they get older is VERY possible. Anyone here still dating their high school sweet heart? Young Do is still in the running cause in RL, I know ppl who got married to someone they used to hate in high school. *shrug*

Plus it would definitely be a mirror image of what happened to YD and KT when KT met YD's mom.
If he would known that was the last time that KT will be seeing ES. He would have drop the hint earlier to KT that something is not right. 
Anyway, YD knew that ES was going away. It didn't hurt for him  to put someone on ES's tail ( I wish YD did thought of that). He can surely afford it. I know it's like stalking 101. They have to up their game against daddy kim. At least they have could have some peace of mind knowing she's okay and somewhere safe while prepping up to go up against daddy again. In the meantime both have to restrains themselves from meeting her, to not blow up the cover. I know KT would would be sincerely in debt to YD for life if that were to happen. and of course we'll get on screen bromance more

Re: the theories that ES didn't leave Korea because KT tore her ticket and/or because KT confiscated her passport.

I mean, seriously, we're dealing with Chairman Daddy here. That is, we're dealing with the most evil, unscrupulous, and sly K-drama Daddy I've come across in my entire K-drama watching experience. If he wanted ES out of the country, a torn ticket and a missing passport would have hardly registered as obstacles.
1. ES could have easily gotten another ticket issued, or Chairman Daddy could have bought her another one (maybe even to another destination).
2. Chairman Daddy is rich and powerful enough to have gotten her passport replaced in record time, or to have otherwise bribed customs officials to get her out of the country.

Also, it seemed to me, when Chairman Daddy told KT that ES had left Korea an hour ago, that he knew that for a fact. As in: he had his lackeys escort ES onto the plane or something along those lines. He was too smug and sure of himself.
Besides, ES wouldn't have cried so much at various moments during episode 16, wouldn't have been so heartbroken, if she had not been planning all along to leave KT at the end of her two weeks that Chairman Daddy allowed her.

omg there is a shadow infront of KT's shadow :Obut if it is ES, why would she creep in the apartment without making any noise? lolhoping it is ES though, i can't bear to see KT suffering the pain of losing his love :-(
