Baek Sung-hyun joins Big

Baek Sung-hyun (White Christmas) is the latest addition to romantic comedy series Big, which brings him back to the modern times after acting in sageuk cable drama Queen Dowager In-soo. The description makes me think of the last time he was in a rom-com (Accidental Couple / That Fool), because he’ll be playing another kid brother to a heroine as Lee Min-jung’s trouble-making high schooler dongsaeng.

He’ll also get a loveline with Suzy—er, at least half of one, since it’s an unrequited kind of relationship. Lee Min-jung plays a teacher at his school, and she’s a total contrast to his personality as the role-model type. Little bro, on the other hand, has perpetually low grades and finds himself constantly in trouble. Then Suzy comes to his school as a transfer student from the U.S. and it’s love at first sight, and he becomes her devoted, pure-hearted admirer.

I guess that’ll lead to some conflict since our hero’s also got a crush on Suzy—before his soul somehow enters the body of a grown man (Gong Yoo). Aw, so it’s a Gong Yoo—Suzy—Baek Sung-hyun love triangle? And we can probably throw Lee Min-jung right into the mix, too, since she’s the fiancée to Gong Yoo, the grown-up version. Talk about complicated sibling entanglements.

Big premieres in June.

This makes me smile so much because he is funny and so handsome all in one. Gong Yoo is sexy too I missed him in my tv screen. I wonder how his chemistry with Lee Min Jung and Suzy will be. Wow this drama season just will not calm down. First it was all about the melo's, then romance, now comedy/ romance, and revenge drama's. I cannot wait to see it and I am dying to see who sings on that OST because we all know it will be good especially if it's a Hong sisters drama.

From what I understand Suzy is not the stereotypical second lead seen in Hong Sister dramas. I think that role goes to the actress that is going play Gong Yoo's ex. She might be the main lead of the story when it all said and done. Anyone remember 49 Days?

I mean it's possible..but no articles officially said it..I guess this guy is not that popular enough right now to get an article? cuz most articles mention other actors..that have confirmed..but shin won ho...On the drama profile (for example naver) Shin won ho doesnt show on the actors profile list on the Big profile..guess that sounds like he wont have a big role in this role..I am very happy for suzy though..heard she is like a funny second lead role in this drama..

DC fans confirmed him that he's on the drama but his role is not confirmed yet. Since Baek Sung Hyun's role is LMJ's dongsaeng, that means SWH will be playing the 18 year old guy.

This is interesting.It's different from her character in Dream High and Architecture 101.Can't wait to see how she play this role.The plot is quite tricky and confusing.I really hope the Hong Sisters can pull it off.
